Hi man, I have just subscribed. Thanks for great video and your summary of the 30 days shorts experiment. I have a question though. When you reuploaded videos, did you delete them "forever" from YT or you made them private and reuploaded few days later and then maybe deleted them? What happened to me is if I uploaded a short while one of other shorts was pushed into the algorithm to the audience for the 2nd or 3rd time, it would not be picked by the algorithm at all and would not be shown in shorts feed. Also, if you delete completely shorts and upload them, it can really affect your channel, something like a shadowban where YT stop recommending all your content. There are many others experimenting the same thing. And one more question, after how many days of posting some of your videos started getting much lower views than they usually do? In my case, it was after first 5 - 7 days of posting.
Thanks for subscribing! To answer your points: When I reuploaded videos, I usually kept the original up for a few days as well before I eventually privates it. I never really deleted any videos unless I reuploaded it multiple times and they got no views each time (which happened occasionally). Also after posting my video views would start to go down after a few hours. Sometimes they would spike again, nowadays they usually do but back when I was doing this experiment they didn't grow for long.

Hey! I would usually try to figure out if there was a reason they didn't perform well in the first place. I would almost always try a different title and description, and sometimes I would go and edit out things like cursing or censor an image. Usually this would work for re-uploads, but there have been plenty of shorts that just would not get on the shorts feed, no matter how many times I uploaded it 😅

I don't think that should have much of an impact unless most of your views were coming from people searching your old channel name. It's pretty normal to have fluctuations in growth, I've had periods where I gained thousands of subscribers in a week and also some where I lost subscribers or had no growth. Keep posting content regularly, while having a consistent format and level of quality that audiences can come to expect, and you will do well over the longterm. It's hard to stay motivated through slow periods, but you can do it!!

you're welcome! And to answer your questions 1. It depends on your content, what type of shorts you make. If you make more simple ones, like dance, lip synching with text, things like that you can post multiple a day. If you do one's that are more narrative based and edited I'd suggest a few times a week. Even higher quality well made ones you can do less, a few times per month. 2. Whenever your audience is awake is usually fine. I've posted anywhere from 6am to 10pm and gotten views like normal. Never tried late at night tho

I started an art channel on TH-cam my first two videos got up to 1000 views but now I only get up to 100 why is it so ?
