I currently have a short that reached 2.1 million views and for me it's definitely quality over quantity. The short took a couple hours to edit, but paid off in the long run. Biggest thing for new people looking to make content is the view retention time. I noticed TH-cam doesn't really push out videos with less than a 70% retention rate and also having that short as close to a minute as possible since TH-cam wants people on their website as long as possible. If you make a video and probably won't watch it yourself, that's a good indicator others won't either. Goodluck everyone!

Recently gotten into creating content myself, I am fully aware that quantity is important, but without quality you won't retain people and involve others. Struggling to get pushed out as much in the algorithm lately, but I am still doing okay, though I know shorts would help a lot.

Also, if you want to add music, add trending songs available in the TH-cam mobile app library. This will give a boost to the videos. When you post a short with your phone and add a trending song available in the TH-cam phone app library, you will not get a copyright strike.

I recently started posting on this account however I own other accounts in different niches I find personally that you should have qaulity over quantity if the qaulity is good you have higher retention levels and your videos get pushed through the algorithm with more people watching your content

Just a warning for people wanting to do this, I recently made a AI reddit channel and grew it to 5k subs and close to 12million views. The normal subway surfer type reddit videos. I got accepted into the Partner Program only to be kicked out 3 days in due to repetitive content. All of my videos were different runs and different stories but TH-cam’s AI isn’t dumb and it knows “repetition”. It also looks for videos with AI voices so be careful investing a lot of time into this because now I have a unmonitizable channel and a lot of wasted time.

One piece of advice I can share about Shorts - you are literally just planting seeds. Unlike TikTok or FB or IG, Shorts work differently. Some of my biggest shorts only popped off an entire YEAR after they were posted. So however their algorithm works, it's different. What I do really love about YT shorts is that some get sustained views over long periods once they're in the algorithm. TikTok hits a ceiling and then its done, but TH-cam's algorithm seems to keep slowly finding new audiences over a period. It's a long game with Shorts, I've realized. Even in the beginning I thought they were a waste of time - now I see a lot more potential. If they can adjust the RPMs a bit more, they will become extremely worth the time for most

Not gonna lie, and any jokes aside. This is actually, a treasure, thank you for these 2 videos, I learned A Lot! And I did practice! I made 10 shorts to post on my channel, adapted them to fit gaming (kinda), have o ly posted 3 so far. But most importantly, after all, I can confirm everything you said, realistic numbers, not magic. I also did use your 30 day trial on Canva. And I will be usong this method to put in some more content in my channel, with a little more effort. (Not even gonna fix these words... typing on my phone be like:)

Likely got flagged as a bot. There isn’t a cure other than engaging with whoever comments and liking and commenting other peoples content over the course of a month and TH-cam will loosen up on their shadow ban. I figured that out over time because something similar happened to me
