    Hi Steve,
I tend to sway off the ball on the back swing. Not always but definitely a few times a round. Any videos or thoughts on how to stop the sway.
    Thanks 👍

Thank you sooo much for sharing this in honor of your dad. I’ve heard of this exercise before but you presented it so thoughtfully and passionately. It’s so simple and yet so important, right? I think when you mentioned the physics law thing, it just registers more on the brain. I mean, it’s not just you recommending something, it’s TRUTH. There is a frickin law! 😂
What I’ve found on my own personal journey is that there are golf swing truths that are sooo simple and basic and TRUE. But many golfers will try those things and, more often than not, some of those things will not appear to work for them in that moment. But that’s because there will be other aspects of their swings that are flawed. But the better you get, over time, you recognize that those simple things were GOLDEN. They were truths. They were PILLARS of the golf swing. We just weren’t smart enough or experienced enough or too full of ourselves or too distracted or just didn’t care enough to recognize it!
You have emphasized the importance of the weight shift … and point taken! But the other thing that is a no-brainer that the Phil Drill helps with is BALANCE. And we all know how important balance is in the golf swing. Thanks again and Happy Holidays to all!

Steve I have two titanium hips and can't rotate with the belt buckle facing the target. What do you recommend?

I’m no teacher! But I’m going to throw out an idea based on my own experience.
Try setting up with your feet and hips already open to the target line. Maybe 10°. Practice to work it out just how much you set up open. Might could be even more than 10°.
BUT keep your shoulder line absolutely parallel to the target line. So you kinda “backcock” your shoulders.
And still do the weight shift and toe tap thing. Only now your hips are already pre-turned toward the target kinda sorta. Hope this helps.
Now we will see what the pro thinks.

Hey Mr. Pratt…you appear to have a lot of first hand knowledge about Mike Austins early life. I watched your video “The sad truth about Mike Austin” as I’m attempting to emulate his swing. One thing that puzzles me is that he was raised in the south but yet has not a whisper of a southern dialect…In fact his “Irish or Scottish” dialect is spot on…Occasionally, you can pick up the given dialect that a professional actor is attempting to hide for acting purposes. I’ve watched just about every Mike Austin youtube vid and a have never heard him “slip” and even remotely say anything that sounds southern…in fact in some video’s, he reflexively resorts to the Irish or Scottish “aye” for yes, without any hesitation. When exactly did he “change” his dialect? It would have had to have been very early in his life to make it sound authentic in his later years…but if that’s the case, why would a young man feel it necessary to talk like he just came over from Scotland? Did you actually speak to anyone who remembers when he converted? The age thing doesn’t bother me that much…when my grandfather emigrated from Europe the people processing them mistakenly changed my grandfathers name, most likely because they couldn’t understand him. That could plausibly happen with age, but you have an original birth certificate….There also have been documented cases when a person has been in a coma for a period of time “reawaken” with an accent they have never had….regardless, the guy in my opinion was very intelligent and his videos have helped me (69 yo) tremendously. Nonetheless, from your description, he had a very interesting life…RIP Mr. Austin.

One of 4 or 5 instructors who actually teach us right. Need some clickbait thumbnails to get the views you deserve. Clickbait unfortunately is critical in the youtube game
