    I have to tell you, I was extremely surprised what this video did for me. Let me explain. I have a net with a round target in the middle that I hit into every other day from roughly 12-15 feet away. I normally hit around 100 balls. I am usually able to hit the target with the golf ball approximately 10-12 times. I followed your instructions to the tee and I couldn’t believe what happened. I am not exaggerating, but I was able to hit that bullseyes red target 68 times. I couldn’t believe it. Once again, YOU ARE THE MAN. You made a believer out of me. Thank you so much!

    Just took the hand path thought process to the range and wow did I hit some of the best shots of my life. And the most exciting part it worked in the weakest part of my game short shots under 50 yards. This video is at the top of my saved list. Thanks!

    Getting stuck caused my shanks. Once I started working on my hand path and rotational drills, problem solved. Furthermore, I was hitting my shots further and straighter.
    These drills fix so many issues.
    We need more videos like this and less of the hitting driver 300 yard videos.
    I would like to add the split hand grip drill should be in everyone's training arsenal. It was a game changer for me.
    Keeping my trail leg "quiet" before and at impact, helped a lot with early extension.
    My belief:
    "I practice hard so that the game is easy."

    Mr Pratt you have created a gem with this video. I have struggled with "stuck" for a long time and after about 20 swings, concentrating on hand path, I nailed it. So far, I have stuck with the 60 degree to groove this technique but I have no doubt it will work the same. This instruction actually benefits other movements in the swing and I encourage everyone to give this your full attention. Thank you very much.

    This drill was excellent for me and my tendencies! My plane doing this drill was very good. My hips stayed deep without trying. The only additional thing I had to focus on was to keep my elbows together. Sometimes I had a tendency to split the elbows and get steep in an effort to get the hands to miss the head cover. Feeling the elbows stay close to each other while missing the head cover worked really well. When I took away the obstacle my swing thought was to feel like my hands were coming out of my right pocket. You know you are making a change when it feels really different. Video confirmed it for me. Thanks Steve!

    I have never seen this explained so well. Thanks Mr Pratt. Tried this yesterday (first time out in Canada this spring) with surprisingly good results. Could never understand why my hands were so high on through swing. Did tend to pull a few shots. This should help with over the top as well.

    This makes a lot of sense. I do like the way the club releases, and exits low on follow through. This is the opposite of what I do, but I’ve been looking to do something different for a while.😂. This could be it!! About 20 years ago I was scratch, getting a lesson/month, and hitting 150-200 balls/day. One of the things I remember my instructor telling me was to feel like I was sticking the butt of the club in my right pocket on takeaway, and feel like butt of club went to left pocket through impact. That thought and intention should produce similar activity through impact. This is my swing thought for tomorrow!👍🏻. I’m definitely subscribing!

    Steve ive been stuck for an entire year. Countless TH-cam videos trying all these things none of them clicked for me. No one mentioned trying to keep your hands close to your thighs. I’m a 5.2 HDCP with an average path of about 6 I-O. My first swing trying to keep my hands close to my thighs I immediately got a I-O path of 1.8. That has to be the biggest lightbulb moment over ever had or seen in golf.

      Swinging inside the pad really helps define the pivot here. It doesn't allow any extension or bad footwork. Just trying to shift and rotate the hips and chest.

  • @VimMitt
    @VimMitt 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Sir, I am confused about hand span rule vs clearing hips. Which one occurs first? If i clear my hips first then i can not performed the second hand span because hips are already cleared.

    This is interesting. But I prefer not thinking technically, but by images, like sport scientists Chris Riddoch is recommending. I take the image of the skipping a stone throw out position or the left hand frisbee throwing, not to get stuck.

  • @terribelcher

    Two questions, Does this drill work with a teed up driver? Lastly, where is the head cover in relation to your right hip? Is it pointing at your right hip, or is it outside the hip slightly? Face on view would show it better I think. Anyway, great lesson Steve, I can't wait to practice this move. Thanks so much.

    @per_growth 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'll try the drill - but I have to ask, how can a short club (wedge) have the same hand path as that of a long club (driver)? Essentially, the longer club will automatically require the player to stand farther from the ball - hence, your hands will be farther from your body already.

      Hands should be the same distance from the body on all clubs. Feet will be farther though!

    Hope this works. It is a bit crazy how you can get two flavors of stuck. The push or the duckish hook. Just another feature of the insanity of golf. You hit the big push and then hit some duck hooks and think wow I am all over the place. Yet the root cause is the same.

    • @Inmotion70
