We, Turks are very active on social media (I don’t know why) and sometimes some foreigners make Turkish content just to get Turkish interaction. As a Norwegian history teacher, I try to explain Ataturk and his genius intelligence to my students, and sometimes I tell his life story under difficult conditions.
LÜTFEN KEMALİZMİN ŞOVALYELERİ DAHA FAZLA SAÇMA YORUM YAZMASIN. 300 TANE YORUMDA AYNI ŞEYLERİ 200 KERE TEKRARLAMIŞLAR. SİZİ YOKTAN VAR EDEN ATANIZ OKUMAYI EMRETMEDİ Mİ SİZE? His genius intelligence? Really? He prohibited the alphabet, which was used over 6 centuries from one day to the another one and introduced the latin alphabet. So the new generation was not anymore able to read and understand the books and the newspapers, which written only one or a couple years ago. This is genius? On the contary. I am sure, In Norway you would name such behaviour stupid.
@@hugochavez6170 With your permission, I would like to show your video to my students next week, so they can get to know real world leaders and their societies. Because Atatürk has a saying: peace at home, peace in the world and I believe in this, I believe in humanity.
@@hugochavez6170 You are talking nonsense, how many volumes of books were there before the Republic? Ataturk is truly a genius. In a very short time, everyone learned to read and write thanks to him. Although the industrial revolution came 200 years late, it happened very quickly. There are thousands more. Türkiye fought with almost the entire world at that time. Despite this, their money was very valuable.

Atatürk has an amazing saying: "There are no hopeless times, there are hopeless people. I have never lost my hope." And when you read his books, and yes he did wrote a lot of books including a geometry book between all the wars and countless fronts he was in, you understand that all these inspiring sayings came from a very very hard place. Maybe a place that we will never be in thanks to him. And I personally try to repay him and his comrades in arms by working hard everyday. And going on the path that he light up. As a woman engineer, I am so aware that non of my rights would've been like that if it wasn't for him. He inspired me as a child, his thinking about science and rationalism moved me and I wanted to go to that path. My favorite saying that he has is: "If one day my words and science contradicts, choose science."
Why dont you mention all the cruel things he did ? Youre so blinded by the education system, which braiwashed you, that you think DİCTATORS are faultless and great !

Hele kanunlar bi kalksın, bakalım kaç kişi ayakta duracak?? Türk Milleti, ne Chp yi, ne Atatürk ü henüz kabul etmedi. Bunla milletimizin önüne referandumla gelecek, ovakit kabul edilirse ne ala yoksa bunların tozu bile kalmaz.. bu işler böyle, Türk Milletine kimse hudut çizemez..

I don't think there is another leader in the history who has a connection with his nation in this way. 85 years after his passing away, 100 years after the declaration of the republic, there is an unbelievable bond with him, and always will. The ones with the negative comments are unfortunately are the ones who don't know him enough or sadly misjudged. I pity for them. He is a real inspiration for the world. Thanks for the video and capturing the enormous feeling and atmosphere on a day like this...

You know, it seems very surreal, but Ataturk is everything to us, everything that makes us who we are. We are a state that tries to stand on its own and is divided even within itself. We are over 80 million people with different ideas in a small area. He's the man who made this possible. He is the man who devoted his life to make these happen, even though he does not receive enough respect in the country he founded today. The man who laid the foundations of science and art. That you can adopt his thoughts no matter where you are from. A bigger man than you will ever see again. Stopping life for 1 minute is nothing for him.
Ataturk means freedom, independence, honor, modernity, belief in science, and belief in ourselves. He was a great leader, visionary, heroic soldier and political genius. He could be sultan if he wished, but he refused such offers out of hand. Instead, he gave us the republic; elevated us from the servants of the sultan to the free individuals of the republic. And thanks to you in presenting this video to us in such a respectable and well planned way. Enjoy your stay in our country.

You did a great job capturing the emotion and summarizing Turkey's modern history. Ataturk's accomplishments and those of Turkey throughout the decades after his passing cannot be overstated.
I just want to add a key point about the Victory Monument. When you look at the Monument of Honor in Samsun, which is the city that Turkish war of independence began, you will see that the front two legs of the horse are raised. This actually has a symbolic meaning. Atatürk started the struggle for the republic by landing in Samsun, and that's why the horse in the monument is in motion. Later, he declared the republic in Ankara, and as a result, the horse is now at its stop position.
i moved to new york 11 years ago when i was in hs, unintentionally unfortunately. Ever since i've been trying to find my way into coming and settling back, when i did, it was the day the of covid and all that, afterwards the country just got worse worse beyond fixable. I'm now trying to finish my school and get out. Every time i visited anitkabir, i just get so emotional and have the feel of guilt. Last time i went there, i've cried so bad and had to run to get back to my car. Like another folk said, it just how it goes, some people make content about specific countries to get attention of them. In here, i do not believe that because as it's been said, you weren't there to get that attention, it's obvious from your expressions. I can totally relate to that.. and I can only say that my respect and love for you at it's highest. Thank you for sharing our respect and love and showing yours for Ataturk

We, Turks are very active on social media (I don’t know why) and sometimes some foreigners make Turkish content just to get Turkish interaction. I understand them because we all have to do something to make a living but they look so fake. Your video, your reactions, your feelings were so genuine and I enjoyed watching this. @@hugochavez6170 You are talking nonsense, how many volumes of books were there before the Republic? Ataturk is truly a genius. In a very short time, everyone learned to read and write thanks to him.

He is not only a glorious military leader,he is also a distinguished genious and intellectual way ahead of his time.He introduced countless reforms, wrote books and articles light to way for enligthenment of Turkish Nation. As a member of Turkish Nation, our primary duty is to honor his precious legacy he left for us.Fortunately Turkish Nation is embracing him with respect and gratitude than never before.I deeply thank you for this respectful and touchy content.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for visiting him. He is more than just a leader. He is a person to look up to. I am so happy you are learning and experiencing lots of stuff about Turkiye❤
I’m happy too! A lot more to learn!
I still get teared up watching this. I did it when I was waiting for the metro in istanbul. The metro sound system did the alarm and our national anthem too. Everyone stood there and it’s hard not to cry. Even some men were dressed in really nice suits especially for this. Thank you for showing it to the world!
Thank you for watching!
As Turkish people, we will always love and respect Atatürk. It is not an obligation; gratitude, love and respect for him come from our hearts.
Thanks for watching!
How absolutely amazing. That respect demonstrated when everyone and everything froze in honor, was outstanding. Thanks for capturing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
❤️👍
Thank you for filming and presenting this beautiful video! I couldn't hold back my tears while listening to your narrative. You were so respectful and thoughtful. You wore a red sweatshirt to honor the Turkish flag. You are a beautiful soul. I felt at home on this special day -despite being thousands of miles away from home- I am a woman, a doctor and college professor in the United States because of Ataturk and his reforms! With much gratitude for honoring our Founding Father on November 10th!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
We have a leader who founded our country, did not make us Middle Eastern, rewarded us with secularism and devoted his entire life only to his nation. His name is Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK.
Thanks for watching!
Aynen de öyle.Vatan a Millet e Adanmış bir ömür.❤😢

Happy to help out! Thanks for watching!
I am a 35 years old Turkish citizen. Every day I live more and more aware of ATATÜRK’s legacy to us. Every year when the clock strikes 09.05 on November 10, our hearts are crushed. Of course we are under no obligation to do so. But when we think of what this great man has brought to his people, we consider it a debt to respect him. He will always live and be remembered in our hearts and the hearts of the next generation. We miss him very much 😞😞😞
Thanks for watching!
Thanks to you for sharing. Much love and admiration for the Turkish people for their love and unswerving devotion to Attaturk's memory. ❤

hasret, özlem ve minnetle herzaman izinde ♾🇹🇷 Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk 🙏😔
Thanks for watching!
The Turkish people do not show this respect to their Ancestors by force of the state, they do it with their own free will and the state complies with this. I don't know if there is such a thing in other parts of the world. Thank you very much for preparing these videos and for feeling the sensitivity in this incident.
My pleasure!
I am a Kemalist who beloved Atatürk ideology. I couldn't attend any of the event carried on past week and today, because I was in the Liberia work as a geologist. And, Itried to illustrate and emphasize Atatürk's smartness, peacefulness, reforms and innovation to local people. However, it was so great that one foreginer tells me the story about our celebrtions and mourning thank you for the vlog I appreciated so much
Thanks for watching!
Ülkem şu an çok zor günler geçiriyor, gençler her geçen gün ümidini yitiriyor.
Thanks for the info! I’m glad you liked it!
"Umutsuz durumlar yoktur, umutsuz insanlar vardır, ben umudumu hiç kaybetmedim." Atatürk 🇹🇷❤
Mustafa Kemal'in askerleriyiz başaracağız yine yeniden her zaman!
Thank you for sharing and showing how much Turks love the world's greatest leader Ataturk. You as a foreigner feel the emotion and you were about to cry. People who dont respect him will never understand this feeling.
It was a very powerful experience! Thanks for watching!
He means literally EVERYTHING for this country. I mean that. In this Middle East area, he turned our people to more civil ones then our neighbors. He gave women the opportunity to get their rights even at the 1920s. He did so much things for Turks. Even though he was a soldier, he was a person who wholeheartedly believed in peace. His famous words: "Peace at home, peace in the world."
I'm glad you experienced 10th of November with us.
Anatolia area not Middle East. Türkiye is not in the Middle East. It's Euroasian. 😉😚
@@HelloHello-xm1ek Ask that to anyone else in the west
@@Irilythh I live in a western country. And it all depends in which country you are and the individual and their educational background. Some ppl know it and some don't 🤷🏻♀️
Please don't call it middle eastern. It is west asian and southeast euorpe
I’m very glad I got to experience it! Sorry I didn’t see your comment for so long!
At 9.05.. You were about to cry even if you were not a citizen of Turkey :) It is difficult to express this moment in words. That is a real and natural feeling that comes from inside a person. This is being done for Ataturk and there is no other example in the world like this. It is truly a great feeling for the Turkish people. And you understood this immediately. I see it from your eyes shapes after 9.05..
It was a very powerful moment. Glad I could experience it
Thank you for sharing this video and appreciating the emotions of Turkish people on this memorial day.Atatürk was not only a great military strategist and commander but also a man who seeked peace and harmony among all people . His thoughts on science, society, secularism, education, humanity, equality, art, music , sports, nature, agriculture are of great importance and are universal. One of his famous sayings which we must all remember today is “Peace at home and peace in the world”
Thank you. Thank you for the respect you have shown to our custom and felt moved by it. We do this totally voluntarily and wholeheartedly ❤️🥹❤️. If it weren’t for Atatürk, us Turks would be without country and without independence. Practically without breath… ♾️♥️🇹🇷🙏🏻
Thanks for making me feel welcomed to learn about your country!
@@TravelLordOnLoc We’re lucky to have someone with an open heart and open mind like yourself. You are always welcome. Let us know if you need anything. ❤️🙏🏻

thank you for the respect you showed, i loved this vlog. it gave me goosebumps as well!
Very happy to hear that! It was a very nice experience for me!
As a Turk, I should say that trust me this is really important for us thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in english with other people about him. Of course there are Turks saying they love him but they don't follow his lead, there are "Turks" that hate him but every of us knowing about who he really is, understanding what he did break down when we talk about him about the way we miss and need him. There is countable amount of people who met him or saw him, we didn't see him with our eyes, we didn't meet but we miss him. That is such an incredible feeling and it is too hard to explain. This means a lot dude thank you.
"Peace at home, peace in the world"

I’m very happy that I can learn about him, the Turkish culture and be here for these experiences!

Thanks for watching!
You got chills and I got tears. Thank you for being there for us and thank you for sharing with us. Have you ever seen anything like that anywhere around the world? Nobody tells us to do this, we do it by heart ourselves every year since 1938. And we will be doing it until the end of the universe. About the rain, one sentence a high school student wrote on 10 November 1938, "Today the entire country got wet without rain."
Thanks for watching!
Bu büyük insanı; yaptıklarını, asla unutmayacağız, unutturmayacağız!

While we were watching the ceremonies in front of the television, at exactly 9:05, my 3.5-year-old daughter and I stood in silence. We do our best to help her learning the big Love Of Atatürk from her family while she is very young age. As someone who came across your channel for the first time, I thank you for your respect.
It’s a very powerful thing. I’m glad I could experience it!
Poore Child, already brainwashed with Turkish fascism.
When I watched this video of you that I saw by chance, my eyes filled up like many people my brother.

Sevgili Kardeşim çok teşekkür ederim. Beni ağlattın, bir yabancının gözünden görmek ayrı bir mutluluk. Sağol, Varol. İyiki Varsın.
I’m happy that you’re happy! More to come!
Literally I cried. Thanks a lot for giving respect to the great history of the Turks and the father of the Turks. Because of the corruption these days a lot of Turkish people has forgotten the things that you said...
Im glad you liked the video!
As a Turk, the things you said are so sad but at the same time so true. I hope things get better for us and other countries suffering from corruption...
Thank you for respecting the country and the father of the Turks. Without him there is no Turkiye and so many in the country forget or ignore this. Your emotions were very real and your respect much appreciated. This video brought tears to my eyes seeing how much a foreigner understands and respects him. Cheers to you 🤙🏼🍻
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! It was a great experience for me!
do you know? This is our leader ATATÜRK, who is a genius man. died for our country and for us. While he was the commander-in-chief, all his ranks were taken away, he entered into a difficult struggle by trusting his nation and won our republic with victories. Without him, Turkiye would not be a Turkish nation... That is why the Turkish Nation will never forget him and will always remember him with love, respect and gratitude.
Elin oglu dahi Türkiye demeyi ogrendi, bizimkilerde ise halen bir "hindi" sevdasi tutturmus gidiyor !
It’s fascinating to learn about things a like this. Thanks!
❤️👍❤️
You did a great job capturing the emotion and summarizing Turkey's modern history. Ataturk's accomplishments and those of Turkey throughout the decades after his passing cannot be overstated.
I appreciate it!
Turkiye.
Thanks for the info!
Seninde söylediğin gibi biz Türkler Atamıza çok şey borçluyuz ❤ 🇹🇷
Thanks for watching!
incredibly beautiful. Ataturk is the spiritual father of the Turks
Thanks for watching!
i moved to new york 11 years ago when i was in hs, unintentionally unfortunately.
Wow thanks for sharing! Yeah I went because some people in the comments of a different video told me about it. I feel very lucky for that experience!
I just watched the video, it was great to write a review and immediately become a member why do I feel like it ? Thank you for your comments about Mustafa Kemal ATATURK and for your accurate and wonderful information about the War of Independence
No problem! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you!
