  • The very best of Ankara is exploring Turkeys capital city! (Türkçe Altyazılı Seçebilirsiniz)
This feature length documentary film (well, longer than our usual films ;)) includes many of Ankara's best sites and places to visit.
Its packed with information about everything, from dining, night life, hotels, museums, shopping, the best ways to get round the city and more!
This was Trudie's first time to the city and it definitely wont be her last.
It was good to know you can get direct flights from Dalaman airport to Ankara and be there in an hour!
With temperatures being cooler in this region compared to the South of Turkey, especially during July and August, its a city break that is well worth doing and is often overlooked.

I am an Australian of Russian and Ukrainian descent who ended up in Ankara with my wife after the war began in Ukraine, and I must say that this video is one of the most heart warming and soothing vlogs I've ever seen. Teşekkürler!

The fact that you speak local language shows the degree of empathy and curiosity which you have for Turkish people and Turkey as country, bravo.

Simit sarayı is a chain which sells the same simit everywhere all around Turkey. İt is not Ankara simit. Ankara simit has a darker colour and a more roasted taste. İt is only sold in local bakers. It is really different from other simits you may eat all aroud the country.

Some facts about Anıtkabir: If you look close there are 80 vases around the tomb of ATATURK. In each vase there are some soil of each city of Turkey. Just not one city and that’s because it’s became a city after Anitkabir was made. He actually wanted them before he went to sleep peacefully. And one more: On your way to Anitkabir (there’s a long way that you can’t go with any vehicle you actually have to walk, it’s called the lion way (Aslanli yol) )the way isn’t just an ordinary path. There are space between each stone so you have to look at your feet to see where you’re stepping. So that when you look at your feet you’re actually bowing to honor of ATATURK and remembering all the soldiers died in the war for their homeland. And I love that you are spreading Turkish culture to whole world. Keep up the good work. I’m from Ankara and I couldn’t even think of a better film for Ankara.

ülkemde ki Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK düşmanları adına utandım. Senin duyduğun hayranlığın yarısını dahi göstermiyorlar üstelik utanmadan hakaret ediyorlar. Teşekkür ederim onu böyle güzel anlattığın için.
