  • Join us as we walk along the South West Coast path from Polurrian Cove to Mullion Cove, Cornwall. Useful for exercising on a treadmill or exercise bike or simply for relaxation.
It is our ambition to walk the entire Cornish coast path as virtual walks and stitch the videos together as a single playlist so that you can enjoy the coast path whenever you wish.
With the rhythmic breaking of the rolling waves, Polurrian Cove is stunning! From the cove it is a short, sharp climb passing the Polurrian Hotel which is set back off the cliff path and, sadly, not visible.
Following the coast path leads pass individual properties with uninterrupted sea views, and we pass the remains of a couple of cottages that were the victims of coastal erosion.
The Mullion Hotel sits above Mullion Cove, commanding views of Mullion Island, it was built to accommodate Victorian tourists when the Helston railway was built. From here it is a short walk to the Cove itself.
We intentionally do not talk when filming these videos so that you can enjoy the sounds of nature without disturbance.

    The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on TH-cam, usually weekly. Sometimes we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog. Sarah is fascinated by sea glass and likes to collect it so there may be the occasional sea glass video too. The channel is a hobby and we both have normal day jobs!
    Frequently asked questions:
    What camera do we use?
Since December 2018 we have used: Canon Powershot G7x MkII
How do I find the books you use?
Most are still in print although some we pick up in charity shops and may be available on Amazon secondhand. Please refer to the video for the book titles. Every video shows the book three times. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description.
Best time of year to visit Cornwall?
We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery.
    What is your dog’s name?
Sorry but we do not release the name of our dog, perhaps you can make up your own name for him.

Mullion Cove is just so beautiful and picturesque ~ the wide sea vistas en route were just amazing. I don't know what it is about meandering down into Cornish coves but, with the murmuring of the sea and all those tall dapple light lit hedgerow flowers, it's like a comforting welcoming embrace ~ it's one of my big loves about Cornwall...thank you!

Thanks. The ads were much better behaved on this one. Just the two breaks at roughly 20 minute intervals rather than every 5-10 minutes. It made for an enjoyable walk, especially as I didn't have to expend any energy myself on this hot day :-)

Many, many, many thanks. I feared Poldark, the smugglers, and the coves of Cornwall existed only in fiction.

What a fabulous trail, didn’t want it to end, such a glorious day, the sound of the surf & crunch of the gravel underfoot was strangely comforting & relaxing, although we didn’t see Andrew only his shadow, his presence was much appreciated, the hedgerows were Looking splendid, the stunning views out to sea with the marble effect clouds was breathtaking,The Mullion Cove Hotel looked very impressive as did Mullion Cove, a welcome virtual breath of fresh air, as I am languishing in a heat of 30C. & rising! I love your Canine companions boundless energy, and yours Sarah and Andrew, thanks again for another stroll back in time, I wonder if the fishermen managed to land any ‘sea bass’ was it! 👌🤗👋

New subscriber to your channel albeit belatedly. I absolutely love how you two have kept me sane during the pandemic watching your walks to places I have been unable to visit. I feel I know you so well but obviously don't. You are both so endearing and deserving of support. I can't help noticing there are those who are following where you lead on YT but you are the original and absolutely the best. Thanking you heartfully.

Ah you came back to Mullion. This is my home village and my favourite walk but I do it the opposite way Mullion Village to Mullion meadows ( at the back of the Chocolate Factory) walk past the Llamas and horses, over a few stone styes, and come out next to Mullion Cove Hotel. Then walk down the coast path to the Cove, stop for a paddle or a swim. Get a pastie or a cream tea from the cafe in the harbour then walk back up the cliff path you came down to Mullion Cove on. Follow the path past the Mullion Cove Hotel and go straight across the roundabout and then follow the path you took the opposite way. Going down those steep steps to Pollurian Beach is much nicer than going up them. ;)

Lovely video Sarah and Andrew. So relaxing I almost fell asleep listening to the waves and the crunching of Andrew’s shoes. Beautiful scenery and it looks like Doggy enjoyed the walk too. Mullion Cove is quite a lovely place.

    What a great walking path!!
    Amazing sounds of waves,
unpaved narrow road with wild flowers
followed by a lovely puppy alternately
    with incredible ocean view,
    natural step sounds against gravels
So lucky to enjoy the virtual walk with your channel.

awesome video and location. Have you considered filming these in 4K? it really does add something special for this type of video when viewed on a 4K TV

I wonder if you might consider using What Three Words to locate many of your walks, or would you risk overcrowding them? So beautiful! For many years, husband and I had a bit of carte blanche to visit the uk as long as we wanted, as pensioners at an acceptable income from the states. They have changed the rules and if I ask nicely, they might let me stay 6 months. Because of your wonderful videos, I would spend 90% of my time in Cornwall. I don't know that i could manage more than 2 of your walks a week. Could I take in all of Cornwall in 6 months?

    • @CornishWalkingTrails
      @CornishWalkingTrails  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, indeeeeed! 'What Three Words' could be added I guess although I think a grid reference stands the test of time and gives a more flexible, giving a general start point and can be 6 or 8 figures depending on how specific, where as the 'What Three Words' is specific spot, 3 square metres I believe and may be more difficult for us to choose the correct one, I don't know - may need some thought to be effective! Also signal is patchy on the coast to say the least so may be difficult for viewers to identify on the ground! As for 6 months, you could certainly explore most of Cornwall in that time period, even at 2 walks a week! Sarah :)

What was the purpose of the wooden bridge over the path near the hotel, just after the start of the walk?
