  • Join us as we walk along the South West Coast path from Dollar Cove, Gunwalloe to Polurrian Cove, Cornwall. Useful for exercising on a treadmill or exercise bike or simply for relaxation.
It is our ambition to walk the entire Cornish coast path as virtual walks and stitch the videos together as a single playlist so that you can enjoy the coast path whenever you wish.
This stretch of the coast path combines beautiful views with wild flowers and great walking. We start in Dollar Cove, so named because of the numerous shipwrecks with gold and silver coins that have run aground here. Church Cove has a church on the beach with a sea view - so special!
We head up the cliff towards Poldhu Cove, a sandy beach much loved by surfers and beach-goers. From here we pass the former Poldhu Hotel, now a care home, opened in 1899, to accommodate Victorian tourists when the railway line reached Helston.
Behind the care home is the Marconi centre. This is the site where the first transatlantic radio signal was sent, an 's' three times. From here we arrive at our destination, Polurrian Cove with fantastic views all the way!
We intentionally do not talk when filming these videos so that you can enjoy the sounds of nature without disturbance.

    The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on TH-cam, usually weekly. Sometimes we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog. Sarah is fascinated by sea glass and likes to collect it so there may be the occasional sea glass video too. The channel is a hobby and we both have normal day jobs!
    Frequently asked questions:
    What camera do we use?
Since December 2018 we have used: Canon Powershot G7x MkII
How do I find the books you use?
Most are still in print although some we pick up in charity shops and may be available on Amazon secondhand. Please refer to the video for the book titles. Every video shows the book three times. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description.
Best time of year to visit Cornwall?
We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery.
    What is your dog’s name?
Sorry but we do not release the name of our dog, perhaps you can make up your own name for him.

Thank you for soothing therapy amongst the world anger & noise. The dog, bird, and ocean sounds are wonderful.

A beautiful evening walk of the Cornish Coast line, reminiscent of sixty years ago doing the same walk with my now late life partner, also it reminds me of the filming of the shipwreck scene of the Warleggan’s ‘Queen Charlotte’ on ‘Poldarks’ Endrawna Beach the same sound of the wind and surf, very atmospheric, I would love to do it all over again, but I would avoid the cliff edge though, as I have had many a nightmare of disappearing over the edge, maybe next time I will stick to one of your inland walks, this has been a breathtaking experience thank you so much Sarah and Andrew for sharing it with me, there is nothing to compare to the spectacular views of the Cornish Coast line, and your very happy four legged friend appreciates every inch! 👌🤗👋

An absolutely beautiful walk and fantastic evening light. I sat watching it wearing headphones, and I heard very vividly all the sounds from the birds, the waves and the walking paces and people passing. Looks like a pretty smooth part of the path. Perhaps except from the tarmac ascent :-) I find those to be quite draining ;-) I am so looking forward to walking in this area myself :) Torunn :)

    • @CornishWalkingTrails

Beautiful evening for a walk. Love the light on the ocean and doggie meeting new friends to play with. I noticed a lot of coastal erosion in this area. Andrew is right about his concern. Love this walk and thank you both again. 👟🐕🌊

When you two take Pupsy out for a coastal sunset romp, you don't mess around, do you? Spectacular shoreline shots, but those slippery earth & gravel cliffside steps were scary! Interesting local history and unparalleled panoramas!

Thank you so much for these lovely videos. I research on the map as you walk and save areas to my favourites. My dear old mum and sister lives in North Devon, my brother in South Cornwall and my daughter in Somerset. Three of my four favourite counties. Whenever I'm visiting anyone, I love to go off walking around the coastal paths and this walk has really inspired me!

How beautiful! The light, the views, the sound of the sea - just glorious!
I discovered your channel by chance a couple of months or so back and I'm working my way through your videos but this is the first time I have commented. July 2020, after 40+ years of saying I would do it, I finally moved to Cornwall. When I first decided this was where I wanted to be I had big ideas about walking the coastal path but my old body complains at too much walking these days, especially on uneven ground! Watching you though I can still get to see some of it and imagine I'm there. Thank you for sharing your walks with us. x

Always enjoy watching...Let me share with you a poem (Verses 1,2,3,&12) that I wrote in 2009 about my love for Cornwall...
Let me take you on a journey
    Unlock and open bare
    The beauty of my Kernow
To which I stand and stare.
    Majestic cliffs organza sky
And Shags on crags do nest
    Winds that blow around me
And I taste that salty zest.
Pink Thrift sways on gentle breeze
    And dances with wild Thyme
    Seagulls glide on outstretched wing
    My worries left behind.
    Mystical and magical
And when my time has come
Lay me down in this earth of Kernow
    Underneath the Cornish sun.
    E. Brazier. 2009

Hi there, yes ads are unfortunately the way of the TH-cam world! It helps towards fuel in our tank and the, sometimes, exorbitant parking fees! As well as our vlogs, we have several virtual walks on the channel and intend virtual walking the whole Cornish coastal path, and if this is your thing, we upload ad free to our Patreon page. Thanks for the feedback though, appreciated! Sarah :)
