I'm very glad the community is calling out the nonsensical direction the balancing is going towards.
Too bad we still have the "nerf whores, git gud", pulling us down.
Yes good because this dev doesn't deserve to work on a game like this they need to go to cod if they are worried about this kind of balancing
DAMN YOU ALEXUS KRECHENKAV 😢!!!!😮
yeah, if only most wouldnt be on so much copium and getting gud
it s crazy out there
With the ammount of nerfs the balance team does you might as well rate them by emotes, untill theyll nerft that too
0:45 "If you're a dev...... close your ears" Lol
…and your eyes also chop off that hand which is nerfing good weapons
I think he means Alexus.
i swear they will nerf breaker incindiary
@@etr1usAbsolutely they will, they’ll gut it and make it terrible to use but then they’ll say it’s all fine because they gave the Tenderizer 5 more damage.
A man can only dream
Well. New guns come pre-nerfed now, thank you, Alexus for testing weapons for 5 minutes on Trivial and claiming they slap hard enough. We just can't have nice things as Helldivers.
And then you have the people who will come up to bat for AH and praise anything they drop. Even if it's trash. Some people do not have standards.
@@VermillionRetro Truth be told - two months ago, I myself did praise them as well. But that was before they went from "God damn! Finally another game like Elden Ring, or Baldur's gate, where you can feel the passion in every corner!" to well. . . We all know what went down. I'm just hoping that I can get a refund for it after my 155 hours, due to SNOY's switch and bait tactics. I really hope, that they broke their own back and I can get out of that purchase retroactively. . . Should things change, I will gladly buy it again, but after everything that went wrong, they need to earn my trust back first.
@@VermillionRetroliterally have a friend that thinks the adjudicator, tenderizer, and verdict are good
hey they said they have quality assurance employees! Alexus can't be the only one to screw the balance over XD
@@alphadeltaroflcopter oh no 🤦♂️
The Eruptor was the closest they’ve ever come to a well balanced gun with its own unique identity, now it does nothing well.
I loved being able to one shot stalkers and bile spewers with the eruptor while swapping to the stalwart to take care of smaller bugs… now I don’t run either… thanks alexus
@@TwoTwig this fucker needs to get fired, bro had 1 job as the lead balancing team. And it takes him a month to do his job. I hate this arrogant condescending guy so much.
eruptor was one shotting everything but titans and also closing nests, it was op as fuck, let it go
It was so satisfying to shoot to. The report of the gun was solid and seeing the impact was glorious. Now it’s just…..meh
I carried the Eruptor and Stalwart and was having a total blast using both. Now I’m back to Scorcher/Quasar
@turish159 if you didn't like it you never had to use it. If someone likes to use something OP thats their prerogative - not yours
It’s crazy that the armor has those snow shoe spikes but doesn’t help you with snow
i would assume that its not even mentioned as an armor passive coz its super small but it should make it so you dont slide on the ice in the ice maps, like a hidden mini-passive, but i tested and it fucking doesnt, very cringe.
Increase speed in snow by 10% and faster in a blizzard.
A little goes a long way.. AH pay attention
When I saw the trailer I thought exactly that. But no. 😢
The apple smells like bacon...
Especially after the CEO said they are making armor passives based on how the armors look. Well idk about him, but to the rest of us it LOOKS like the spikes on the bottom of the boots should help with moving through the snow and stopping you from sliding on ice...
Pre-nerfed for your safety. Don’t want you to have too much neuron activation.
Yeah, t'is is the first Warbond I am not getting. I wanted to live out my Starship Troopers fantasy with the Tenderizer (that was also advertised as being mostly colored BLACK) and I expected at least medium pen with it, but it is just a worse Liberator. That Alexus guy needs to be fired & the CEO needs to take steps to bring fun back into the game, because it just isn't "fun" anymore..
why is arrowhead adapting bugnie's philosophy?
The fire breaker is 100% getting destroyed in the next patch.
I hope it doesn’t
@@geraltthewitcher1822 same I love it, but it’s fun to use and actually good at killing bugs. So in the devs eyes it’s to strong
Oh for sure. RIP
After trying it I think it's ok but they should revert some of the general fire buffs anyway simply because the scorcher hulk was buffed into insanty.
I hope they simply buff the fire weapons themselves afterwards or nerf the scorcher hulk instead.
Also how retarded are you that you adjust fire over all instead of per weapon. That alone should boot you off the balance team.
I really hope they boot everybody off that team without exception.
Gosh i hope no... that's my 2 go for bugs and i beside the sickle i haven't found a single other weapon that feels good to shoot and it isn't a peashooter or something that i can't shoot when i get swarmed by thrash.
What we need is to get rid of that 1 Dev who calls himself the protector of balance.
Cause he seems to be the cause most problems
Yup, it's Alexus. The CEO should just fire him, instantly. He un-ironically called the Polar Patriot weapons all S-tier. Madness.
@@DutchGuyMikeHe did it as a joke I think. Still, that’s a bold one to make after consistently making worse and worse warbonds.
What grinds my gears is that devs said that they dont want transmog system, because looks of items communicate their function. And thats a philoshophy I can get behind, you look at a guy and get solid idea what is he is capable-of and strategize around that. But then they make items that completely trash this idea. Big ass assault rifle? Its a peashooter. SMG? Actually stronger than the assault rifle. Winter armor? Has no winter related passives, but has servo assisted (in Steeled Veterans, servo-assisted was tied to wearer actually having cybernetic *prosthethics* ). Bomb squad armor? Has more grenades, but no resistance to explosives (even if said passive exists in the game).
Yeah..
yeah, the new warbond armor really makes me feel like we're eating bacon flavoured apples.
I still find it funny, one of the devs saying all weapons in polar patriots are all S tier.
I mean, they're not wrong. It is S-tier as in Shit tier.
@@bl00dm0urnereading this while dropping some s tiers
That's not just "a dev", that's THE dev in charge of all weapon/stratagem/enemy balancing operations in the game
@@MrPanggsDudes a f**ckin idiot it makes no sense Ohdough has a more better understanding of what's best for Helldivers then someone in that position. Seems they'll just hire anybody, and does Alex even play the f***ing game? Simply ridiculous. Not to be condescending or make it sound easy but making Helldivers a great game isn't rocket science.
Every weapon is "S" rank. "S" means "Super-earth".
The saddest part is, the CEO seems to be the most in-tune out of all the devs...
Really hoping they stop dropping the ball soon
Congratulations he's in the balance team again :D
12:56 literally this, it's okay to get us to use our strategems and stuff but the primary weapons are our bread and butter. Your primary is always with you even after you die and they're what we have to rely on when our strategems are on cooldown, if the devs keep making primaries feel like hot garbage then I fear for the game's longevity.
real, and even more so when we get stratagem modifiers.
They need to overhaul strategem cooldowns if they want primaries to be underpowered. Most used ones are eagles because you can spam em 2 to 5 times back to back and they all come back after 2 minutes while orbital equivalents take like 90+ seconds for ONE, not counting the rail/laser strikes
There are enough idiotic copium sniving assholes that will still play. I dont think it's a game that's supposed to be a "fun" horde shooter.
I truly believe we are supposed to suffer as much as the helldivers we play. Yeah, no thank you-wont be playing anymore until they get their shit together, fire this "dev" and push for quality instead what we get currently.
@@killerguy127 Agree. If this is to be a air support simulator, then we shouldn't get any primary or secondary weapons. They should remove them all together and give you the ability to throw 2 signal balls with each hand and make the cooldowns like 30 seconds on the stratagems....
What about Stratagem Modifiers? did you forget those exist too?
They say use stratagems but proceed to make alot of stratagem useless with that garbage, specially the heavy hitters (Eagles, and primarily Orbitals).
the game has become frustrating to play, I feel like there is no support weapon good enough to let you mix and match strategens, like I used to run with the eruptor for the main and arc thrower and I could survive most of encounters. Now arc thrower doesn't stagger hulks, misfire more than before and the new war bonds felt like very anemic, like they are not even trying. Give me an impact EMP granade
I really thought there was going to be a freezing granade.
@@arthurtwa Freezing weapons would be sick. Or poison/corrosive weapons as OhDough mentions, similar to the gas strike effect but on a grenade or bullets.
I was running with the Eruptor/Stalwart combo. Perfect mix of fun. It was glorious while it lasted
I also think the Quasar nerf was bad too. The extra 5 seconds of reload time is a killer
@@rickhunter6513 That's the thing that annoys me the most about the balance team. They make these massive nerfs instead of incrementing down like a sane person. Oh, Quasar's too strong, lets increase it's cooldown time by *50%.* Guard Dog Rover's doing too much damage, lets nerf it by *30%.*
Don't even get me started on making bullets break the laws of physics to ricochet back the way they came. It wasn't bad enough that you didn't do any damage to armor, now it has to hurt you as well. And then they just take away the shrapnel because it doesn't play nice with their stupid ass new mechanic.
Eruptor stalwart was a nice combo but alexus happened. Also please bring slugger back.. dont buff its damage again just give its stagger back... :(
Here’s an idea, stop nerfing the weapons we already have. This game was so fun upon release and then came the nerfs. Why are they doing this?
The Liberator has to be the baseline gun simply for the fact that everyone starts with it. If you never unlock any other primary, that one has to be useable.
So naturally the devs will eventually nerf that later.
The game is going to be dead by the time liberator is meta because everything else got nerfed into the ground.
I thought the exact same thing. Liberator is as good as the Tenderizer... which is insane.
So they will indeed neef the poor liberator (and the lib concussive as well)
🤓
@@Fresh-Eighty7 🤡
@@arthurtwa It's not even as good. It's legit *better* than the Tenderizer. Has a faster fire rate, higher mag capacity so less time spent reloading, and the same damage. Only thing the Tenderizer has is a slightly lower recoil. If it was *as good* as the Liberator it would still be functional. Damage is a *big* balance lever. If you take away damage then you need to *really* buff something else to compensate.
You bring up a really good point here.
The warbonds can't be pay to win, but they have to be worth the $10.
That's a hard line to walk
I mean, not really. Just make them Not Suck™ and you're fine. I'd be perfectly fine with sidegrades to existing weapons (provided existing weapons are in the Not Suck™ category), as long as they do something unique and fun.
The thing is, it would never really be pay to win since you can get them all for free. Super Credit farming really doesn't take that long. If the guns were actually good, it would be more accurate to call it "play to win", since it's all accessible to players who don't wanna pay extra. The devs are far too scared of pay to win accusations imo, and I guarantee that's part of the reason why many of the premium warbond guns suck. Every gun in a premium warbond should be as good or better than the good options in the free warbond.
Imo Pay to win would apply to some kind of ranked. Im paying to have fun. Who is gonna get upset that im using a good gun to-play with them?
I disagree. The beauty of Helldivers 2 is that they CAN be pay-to-win, but because the game offers supercredits in-game it's not a big issue as everyone can get them eventually. Play more if you want to get those weapons without paying for them.
@@crosshairs007 Nah. That leads to a bad path. Pay to win still applies even if you can get something in game if getting that thing takes a painful grind to get instead of buying it. See: World of Tanks/War Thunder.
I would love to see a support backpack that combines all the ammo of the machine gun, heavy machine gun, or stalwart into one belt fed backpack eliminating the need to reload.
THAT WOULD BE EPIC!!
I knew something fishy was going on with the balance decisions. Apparently, the guy in charge of balancing actually ruined the hello neighbor game with balancing changes. I wonder if the people who have been defending the balance decisions will apologize.
Nope. They're high on copium. They remind me of all the copium huffers that defended Blizzard when WoW first started going down the drain.
We need to riot they are ruining the game
I'm not a fan of the balance direction from this guy or how I've seen him interact with the community, but hasn't Hello Neighbor always been shit? First one went straight into the dirt and I dunno why the second would have been any better.
@@GeeNo_ we need to riot so they hear our voice a un fun game is a dead game.
@@hellogoodbye388 They're aware of the issues, the CEO needs to hear the constructive criticism and ideas they can use to implement better changes.

Localization Confusion is +30 seconds to the internal timer for when the next Bot drop, or Bug breach can occur. It's a flat 30 seconds, so it's more impactful at high difficulties, but 30 seconds isn't very long, so it's hard to notice. You can test by intentionally staying in a fight for several bot drops, and timing how often they occur, with and without the booster.
If you've already got a team with stamina, muscle enhancer, and maybe vitality or ammo, confusion can be a pretty solid pick. An extra 30 seconds to clear enemies out of a command bunker or double gunship fabricator can be super helpful.
30 seconds is the difference between a second breach and clearing a group.
It should be mentioned that this booster does nothing for drops/breaches that come as part of an objective like geological survey as they ignore the cooldown
@MrDekasOne this is true, but don't forget these forced Breaches and Drops _can_ call in normal drops afaik
Crossbow needs localized Incendiary or Gas arrows. Small area but will hurt trailing/near by enemies. A little thought could have made things way more interesting
I think it should have different types of ammo that you can switch between (still sharing the clip of five though). Like fire, stun and high velocity (for distance sniping) in addition to explosive, or something.of that sort. Make it a jack of all trades, master of none.
or regular arrows that kills silently and don't bring aggro for stealth solo, but eh... we're talking about a tone deaf balancing team.
Gas arrow sounds great!
@@johnsoldmicrowave1247 Which would be one of the benefits of actually using a crossbow anyway, if you think about it. Utility.
i loved democratic detonation before they gutted it, the eruptor was great, but if anything got in your face you were forced to use a secondary or stratagem for cqb. THAT IS A BIG DOWNSIDE ALREADY. then they made it shit at pretty much anything, and the explosive crossbow somehow got hit in the crossfire just for watching its older brother get in trouble. If they're going to change these war bonds so much, id honestly like the option to refund them for supercredits because DD was worth it for maybe 2 weeks and i feel bait and switched.
Agreed. It's insane how quickly the balance team takes the fun out of everything decent.
exactly, something got closer than 3 meters and you're running eruptor? you were screwed, had to switch weapons fast and if u were getting surrounded you were most likely dead. Rate of fire is super slow also, and reload time is also high, aiming it feels like you're aiming a tank too, so, A LOT OF DOWNSIDES. I really thought "well, this is super OP but like, also, slow af, so there is that". Insane that people are "asking" for nerfs in a game that's not competitive tbh.
Fire Alexus button --------->
Fire Alexus. Out of a cannon. And into the Sun.
Ahh the Tenderiser, it's the first time i truly had to ask: "Why does this gun exist?"
In my experience, its a sidegrade since it can still two shot headshot devastators but with slower RoF and smaller mag. The weapons in the warbond all feel like they were meant to be sidegrades and IMO the smg, pistol, and grenade did that well. I believe dough even made a video using the pummeler and it performs pretty similarly to the defender.
@@FiendLuckless my brother in Democracy the tenderizer is a downgrade to the liberator
@@RobbedAttorney1 Hence why I used MEANT to be, not ARE. Please read carefully. I also specified 3 items in said warbond that did that WELL, Pummeler NOT being one of them. Theres plenty of speculation as to why it sucks so bad but we'll see what happens next.
@@FiendLuckless My brother in Liber-Tea, you said, and I quote: "In my experience, it's a sidegrade" to someone who was talking about the Tenderizer. It is, objectively, *not* a sidegrade. It's a straight downgrade. Please read carefully.

I do think he crosses the line into hyperbolic negativity sometimes, but ultimately he just wants the game to be better. The ones who play at a high level are going to be the most passionate and most in tune with how the game works, so I hope the devs do listen to creators like Dough.
its better to be passionate than to not care, cuz if you dont care, you lost hope.

list of stuff that is living rent free in my head:
Hellfiretrooper armor: take less damage from fire + you dont burn for as long
Democraticshockabsorber armor: you dont fly as far + you take less impact damage when flying into objects (not fall damage)
air filter helmet: you take no damage from gas
eagle eye helmet: vision blur effects reduced + cloaked enemys reveal earlier
Empty pockets armor: (silly idea but doesnt get off my mind) reduce primary, secondary magazines and granades by 1 but gain (idk like) 7% movement speed maybe you cant drown?
Frostdiver armor: snow doesnt slow + can more normally on ice
Weapons expert armor: can equip 2 special weapons but no backpack
Fast hands booster: decrease reload time by 15% and weapon swap speed by 10%
Survival instincts booster: helldivers cant be slowed for a short duration and gain a small amount of stamina when falling below 30% hp
Strong stimulant booster: helldivers cant be killed while stimmed but stim duration reduced by 50%
Field medic booster: helldivers can use the syringe while sprinting and diving
airborne armor: take less fall damage + recover faster from getting knocked down
Democratic sensors booster: reveals 1 (maybe 2) extra sub-objectives on the map and marks the biggest target in a 30 meter radius (effect lingers for a few seconds after leaving the range) can make landing on big targets easier :)
Strongman booster: increase melee damage and melee stagger force + can carry objects faster (like the artillery shells or explosive barrels)
Man, being able to kill Hunters with a single melee would be nice.
This what I'm talking about why do the community have more care for this game and a better understanding for what best for it than the devs do? Why TF does helmets or capes not have any attributes? We got a armour set that's literally built for the snow but given the same typical stats as other armour we already have. Updates are suppose to make the game more fun not nerf it. The only worth nerfs so far were bugs & Eruptor cuz it 1 shot chargers nothing else. Honestly everything needs buffs not be overpowered but viable & unique.
Maybe they could pair a heavy armor perk that reduces or eliminates stagger with increased melee damage as well. Good idea with the faster carry of items, all three effects together doesn’t seem too busted since each effect is kinda niche. A lot of good suggestions.
I’d love to see helmet perks that have less of an impact but more utility. Like highlighting samples from further away, being immune to gas, or keeping your waypoint after death. Little stuff.
Some very cool effects in here; they now live rent-free in my head as well.
Love the empty pockets one ! Brilliant ❤
I brought up the nerfs on a thread, how they were annoying because some guns were either ok and got nerfed to trash or great and nerfed to trash and that's annoying given they're charging money for this.
The response I got was
"You don't have to spend money"
What a compelling argument.
have you also heard the "omg you're so bad a I literally helldive with any weapon" ahhh yes, the good ol' anecdotical evidence.
I personally feel that none of the war bonds are “good”. They all feel nice to have, but honestly all of the best stuff is in the free war bond.
yea I still have no idea which one to buy lol they're all so meh
@@user-br6ve4lz6nif you want to ever get a premium warbond just get steeled veterans.
The thing i'm noticing, stagger is nice and all, but dead enemies are better than stagger/stun, we could have a primary that is good against heavies so we could bring the stalwart or machine gun, but eh...all we get is subpar weapons that are more of the same shit.
Getting to cosplay as a Heavy Devastator with the Ballistic Shield and staggering them to dead giving them a taste of their own medicine is pretty fun.
So what I'm hearing is, save my credits for the next warband. If the next one is even worth getting either.
100%
I appreciate the devs trying to do something funny with the ricochet change. But the second it became clear that it made Eruptor unusable they needed to revert the ricochet change, rather than cover their behinds by dumpstering Eruptor.
But hey, they fixed the eruptor bug that caused you to be flung towards explosions! Which turned into the biggest accidental nerf the gun received, because it also clustered enemies together, so it got its ability to kill small enemies completely slaughtered.
One of the biggest nerfs in the history of the game, and then they nerfed it on top of that. And then they "fixed" your guns not being able to kill you, which then required them to nerf the eruptor again, over the span of like three days. All while the rest of the weapons from that warbond are unusably bad. They can't manage to actually buff some of the worst weapons in the game, but they can push out an emergency patch to nerf the eruptor again.
I'm done with Helldivers until they at least fix their balance philosophy. The constant crashes and increase in game breaking bugs over the last month are one thing, but not having any usable weapons is a whole different problem. It's not fun to play the game without usable weapons. If I want to play a game where you're supposed to die a lot, I'll go play a Fromsoft game designed to kill you because you can infinitely respawn, not a game that punishes your entire team for having one person die, while trying its very best to kill you constantly. What's funny, is that even Dark Souls is more of a power fantasy than Helldivers, since you can actually do tons of damage with the right build in Dark Souls.
I will say localization confusion is a must-take on defend asset missions. It slows the rate of drops/breaches so much, it’s super nice to have.
Yeah I usually wait at the end until everyone equipped the booster, if I don't see that one I am equipping it.
On an unrelated note, would you talk about the damage that Sony's blunder did has not yet been fully reversed? Valve, expecting the PSN link requirement would go through, preemptively de-listed HD2 from being purchaseable from many countries, including Venezuela where my brother lives. Strats: incendiary mines, airburst rocket launcher, eagle napalm, orbital 380mm barrage.
Loadout: Arc resist armor, Ar-61 tenderizer, Senator, Thermite granade.
The challenge is to join a squad at level 9 and not get kicked.
Must be what Alexus uses because it's the G.O.A.T. loadout. (Goofiest Of All Time)
Enjoy 🔥🔥
Oh lol Extraction Pilot. Yesterday someone selected that booster. I told him, it saves you 20 seconds of extraction time. He thought it would save minutes.
IMO it would be worth it if it reduced the calldown time to a flat 30s. That way you can take it as a solo and extract before the waves of enemies drown extraction.
When a new set of patrols replace the previous with 10-15 seconds on helldive at extract, that booster needs to shave off a minute at least to even be worth considering imo
Someone said Alexus couldnt balance himself on a toilet and that tickled me
Punisher plasma is actually quite fun against bots. It stun locks devestators, and berserkers, and has a big blast radius. The damage falloff is a lot, however, so you still have to land precisely onto troopers. I also like that it can blast through scout strider armor plate and send the trooper flying. Quite a solid pick, I'd say "a breaker incendiary alternative". Using against bugs is hard, due to clearing distance. Otherwise you can easily kill yourself if bugs land too close to you.
The more I use the Plasma Punisher the more I'm liking it, especially against bots. Getting two shot kills on Striders is really nice, and it can knock out huge waves of troopers easily. I really like using it to fire over inclines when I'm being swarmed or to hit enemies hiding in cover. It's really not great against Devs, but I usually will swap to my support weapon for them. Only thing I would change about it is make it so it can destroy fences, because despite firing a big ball of exploding plasma it can't destroy weak obstacles and just goes straight through.
@@ZephyrKitten742Tried it for the first time yesterday and I disagree about it not being effective against devs. Being able to stun lock heavy devs over a wall without having to peek is the funniest shit to me, I don’t know if I’ll ever bring another weapon against bots again lmao.
That said I’m petty enough to build my loadout just to fuck with devastators.
@@CrazyLikeUhFox Oh I mostly meant in how fast it can kill them, since if can take 4-6 shots. The stagger is super useful though, I tend to run it with an autocannon or AMR and if I run into a dev I shoot it once to stagger it, then swap to the support weapon and blow it away.
Yeah, the fire rate is actually OK for the plasma punisher, and you can land 5 shots in 3-4 seconds. I love how big of a "punching" power it has against Devestators, causing them off guard, their shields opened, and knocked so much that they bend backwards.
It's a funny weapon to use. Damage is not the greatest, but I am having fun aim for far enemies with a parabolic projectile path. (I even landed a shot on the gunship, I was hoping I could destroy one with this).
I have more faith in the anticheat getting cracked and actual, intelligent, weapon balance is forcibly modded in than i do in Alexus having a worthwhile neuron activation sometime before the sun burns out.
I’m tired of pretending the liberator is an acceptable baseline. It feels like garbage and its only positive is getting players used to feeling weak as shit.
Localization confusion does increase the time between enemy reinforcements (bug breaches and bot drops)
Though the increase is trivial, like 20 or 30 seconds before Wilbur attempts to call a breach again. Wouldn’t advise using it, just grab stamina boost, vitality or space optimization
20 or 30 seconds is a lot if you ask me, that'll cut down the number of reinforcements significantly in the long run
yeah but its alright as a 4th booster on the team right after those 3 imo, it is noticeable for sure imo
It's good in tower defence missions
The one thing I had noticed when using it was that yes the internal timer would increase, but that also meant the amount that would come after that increased time would also increase. They would spawn 1 Hulk per drop ship? Now they'll spawn 3. I remember seeing 6 dropships go after one of our guys because of it. Granted this was a while ago so I don't know if they changed anything or not.
@@MrChach1ngthat seems to be entirely random actually, having localisation confusion does not affect it
Dropped in a diff 7 mission with it, went around with it( 20-30s between reinforcements is quite significant at higher levels, diff 7 is about 1 min 30, diff 9 is 1 min) and there is usually average of a hulk per drop, and that’s it, but when we are doing a obj a drop is called and 2 factory strider decided to show up instead
15% reduction from 120 seconds is indeed 120-18 = 102, which is 1min42s which is exactly what you get. - The math is correct, booster still bad, though.
I feel like it needs to be pointed out that Steeled Vet and Cutting Edge were both pretty bad when they launched too and their high ratings are only based on the current state of the weapons. Dominator was bad, Breaker Incen was mid, Senator was much worse, Arc Blitzer was a lot worse than it is now and Punisher Plasma was basically unusable.
The Sickle and Dominator are the best of all Warbonds if you ask me, the amount of people I see carrying the Sickle is insane.
i hate how little capacity/ damage the adjucator does cause i LOOOVE how it feels with each bullet packing a punch
it’s all bark no bite sadly tho😢
Devs: We've heard your feedback. We are nerfing the incen breaker and buffing the Scythe :)
Level 90 and I am about to stop. Balancing is making the game super boring and they don’t give me a reason to play or purchase. Theres nothing exciting when you know each patch and warbond are pretty lame and Alexus killed hello neighbor 2 and is now is about to do it to hd2. Johan is gonna watch 8 years of hard work get flushed in less than 6 months if aggressive revisions are not made very very fast.
Who is alexus
@shadowsavage3693 Alexus Kravchenko- He was the lead game design of Hello Neighbor 2. He kept adding in his own ideas with no mention to his peers and modifying everything to fit his little fantasy, and he killed the game faster than a texan mom leaving her kid in the car
Agreed, Primary weapons either need to be good at Clearing or more focused around dealing with Armoured enemies such as Charger back sides, Tank weak-spots, Devastators, Hive Guards, Bile Spewers etc…
This is to allow for the pairing of a Primary Weapon with the appropriate Support Weapon to build a well rounded Loadout.
(Ie: Sickle and Auto-Cannon, Incendiary. Breaker and Quasar, Plasma Punisher and MG-43 or Stalwart etc…)
Would be a ton of fun to get an anti-armor primary
motivational shock should absolutely negate the slow of acid attacks....it doesn't matter if it reduces 1-2 seconds of slow time a horde of hunter needs just 1 second of you getting slowed down to pile on you and demolish you
Good video. One suggestion is to mention recent buffs more though - for example, people had a much stronger case for calling Cutting edge bad until the recent buffs to the punisher and blitzer. This would let people out of the loop know there's been actual changes and it's not just your opinion that CE isn't bad, etc.
after the eruptor got nerf to the ground the democratic feel useless now
i like how the only new perk they added to armor was electric damage resistance...then nerfed the only good lighting gun right after so no one used it..
Having another game playing in the background goes to show how bad AH is messing up.
A thing to mention. The Punisher Plasma is a godsend when on higher difficulty bot missions. It staggers devastators, making them way easier to deal with.
And the splash damage is what rounds that staggering ability up, as devastators and berserkers tend to group together pretty tightly and you can damage multiple bots while staggering them. Just don't let them get too close though.
The ammo change was actually really nice for it too, since you can spam it and then refill your ammo pretty easily. The fact that the reload is REALLY quick is also a godsend too.
I'm happy with where it's at. My main issue is that the damage seems a little inconsistent at times but maybe that's just me figuring it out. It is super fun to use and perfectly viable on Helldive (it's recently been my main primary against both bots and bugs and I only play Helldive).
I'd rather them just not touch it so they don't screw it up lol.
@@charlieashwood It's fun to use, work around its weaknesses and try to max its strong points. The faster projectile helped a lot in my opinion. I love the feeling of bombarding a far away patrol and nailing those hits with big splashes of damage
@@thelegendaryklobb2879 Exactly!
As someone who has over 200 hours and cares deeply about this game I pretty much completely agree with this take on premium warbonds and guns, that's why im subbed, idiotic weapon balance team sympathizers and copers that only play dif4 in 4mans will disagree but you are the only one who isnt scared to say the truth, that's why im subbed, please dont let degenerates pressure you into changing who you are!
Preach, we all like the game, why else would we care. People obviously never improved at anything in life being so scared of criticism. Every community has simps, but this one goes the extra mile simping while doing their diff 4 missions lmao. I don't get why primaries need to be nerfed so much, they aren't exactly one tapping titans and doom walkers.
I used to run the Sickle a lot because it suits a certain playstyle very well: you can blind-fire it over your shoulder at a dead run and still know exactly where you're hitting. And the cooldown mechanism means you can do this for as long as your stamina holds out.
Localization I thought was less patrols not less breaches or bot drops but if it is that I doubt that that even works now with the new changes, it probably broke the booster
I have to agree with the idea of less warbonds and make them more interesting...
Seems like accurate ratings. I was excited for the polar warbond. Would've been my first one, and it's terrible so now I have to either wait for the next, wait for buffs or just get the first one 😅
Yeah.. I skipped this last Warbond and spent $20 on another V-Rising DLC. A thank you for improving and releasing their game
Nursing Spewers, Bile Spewers, and Flame Hulks need to either get a 20% - 50% damage nerf and/or at least a 50% movement nerf. Even with 10% damage reduction from heavy armor and the shield pack, you die within a second from any of these mobs. You barely even get a chance to dodge or maneuver out of the way. It’s bs.
The reason people are so excited about the new SMG is because you’re not gonna turn down a piece of soggy bread during a famine.
We finally got another SMG and it’s a great gun compared to the rest of the warbond while still being a side grade to the Defender.
"S-TIER warbond" - Alexus
I’ve been rocking the adjudicator and it’s really effective for going semi and getting easy headshots. Then full auto when a patrol is nearby. I think if we increased the magazine size to 30-35 rounds would be perfect
I'd say cutting edge is the best warbond after latest patch.
I found blitzer to be the best weapon against bugs overall, and I find punisher plasma to be the best weapon against bots, even better than scorcher.
Sickle is also very strong for any enemy.
As long as punisher plasma or blitzer are not nerfed, it's a bit better than steeled vets.
I don't even like to use the incendiary breaker, but I've been pigeonholed into it by the balance team
i miss the normie breaker before they fucked it up
Guarantee you that AH saw the blowback from all the nerfs and released a Warbond that is underwhelming and will buff them.
I think something cool they could do with the polar sets of armor is make it so you don’t flinch as much if you get hit and have less of a chance to get knocked down. To me it kind of makes sense with the armor as most of it is heavy and most of the armor sets have little spikes at the bottom of the boots just a thought.
I think localised confusion is mainly for stalling enemy reinforcements when you're defending objectives. Not necessarily breaches but they may be included. It boosts the time taken for enemy reinforcements to spawn
This guy gets less and less toxic with every video he makes. I used to think of these videos as ragebait but you slowly turn into a pretty good youtuber.
It really never was ragebait. He just genuinely cares and appreciates so much about this game and is frustrated about the direction it's going and only wants to see it be better.
I’m kind of intoxicated right now. So the Diablo-looking game with you talking at the end was sensory overload. Not a complaint. A compliment even.
I'm glad he is here. HD2 community glazes the balancing changes when they make no sense. Seems like some people are finally starting to realize they have been slowly killing their own game each patch.
yeah last night i was using the pummeler vs bots, mainly to feel like i didn't get totally ripped off, and at least using it and the ballistic shield made for a little different gameplay than normal.
Localization confusion adds additional time between each bug breach/dropships can be summoned. I believe on Helldive 4 players it's somewhere around two minutes and LC adds an extra 30 seconds to it. So you would kinda-sorta encounter ~20% less waves of enemies in an ideal conditions. Sorta worth it, but I would still prioritize other stuff over it.
Also about shocks - I have no idea how you can't notice them when you're facing hunters. Main danger of them is a permanent slowdown that swarm of them can apply to you, and this extra 25% quicker recovery time is more then noticeable over there. Recovery from Titans is also welcome, especially if they're not alone.
With the localization confusion i have definitely notice that once we get to extraction we fight like 1 or 2 waves. Turns extraction into a waiting game at least on 4 difficulty.
Thank you for this video! I am kinda late to the party, started playing about 2 weeks ago and I pushed my hours a lot in the last few days as I love this game. It helps a lot to see this breakdown to plan my purchases.
The dagger has one single use, which is melting the heads of devastators from behind a ballistic shield. So it’s not _useless_
One thing to remember is almost all of these weapons were bad at launch. If a gun is bad now it might not necessarily be bad in the future.
The tenderizer is so close to being perfect, not overly strong, not overly bad, and feels good to use. All they need to do is up the damage by 10-15 to let it 2 shot devastators with headshots, and give it more armor pen. Then maybe reduce it's fire rate so it's not as effective against mobs of weaker enemies. This would allow guns like the liberator to perform better against chaff enemies while letting the tenderizer perform better against armor. Plus, a slower fire rate would make up for it's lower mag size and make it feel more consistent instead of having to constantly worry about needing to reload it when you need it most. When you have a weapon that simply outdoes another weapon in all categories, against all enemies, you don't have 2 weapons. You have one weapon, and an objectively worse version of that weapon.
You underestimate how powerful stagger and stun is, plasma punisher, jar-5, and pummeler all have great damage AND great stagger, and having that crowd control makes them a tier above the rest.
Plasma punisher is actually really fun against the bots once you get the arc down. Feels like im shooting water balloons, and the stun is S Tier when you have bots pressing "W". If you can get the angle, you can also arc up and over a hulk to hit his backside. Obviously your support weapon should be used for hulks, but its possible if necessary.
Localization Confusion increases the cooldown that is required between separate breaches by 10%, excluding scripted breach objectives like terminate and escort
The Plasma Purifier chargeup seems to only increase the projectile speed, but not raw nor explosive damage. It's like you get a nerf gun that shoots further, but nonethess a nerf gun.
I honestly dont know why they strayed from Helldivers 1 upgrade systems. We used to obtain samples to upgrade ALL of our weapons AND strategems. They literally have all their ideas already handed to them, just in a different format. Why have they not released the massive amount of vehicles like in the first game? Why can we not upgrade strategems or weapons? If they had an upgrade system it would keep people playing longer than they do now because it gives people something to work towards while also helping with balancing issues.
Localised confusion increases the cooldown between bot drops/ bug breaches by 15%, on difficultly 9 it increases the cooldown by 30 seconds, this booster has 0 effect on patrol spawns and 0 effect on bot drops and bug breaches called as part of an objective like geological survey as they completely ignore the cooldown, it's an ok booster
If you aim at the stalker's head you can kill a pair with a single magazine of the pummeler and still have a bit to spare.
Personally, I love how the Tenderizer feels and it is my hope that they forgot to include the "Liberator Buff" from a previous patch during the shipping of the Tenderizer. The fact, that it also wasn't affected by the "Ammo Economy Change" where Supply Packs fully replenish primary ammo (as goes for the Verdict) would confirm that theory. So my hope is that it was supposed to be a tad stronger, but bad communication/workflow let the memo slide under the table or sth. like that xD Call it Copium if you want. Sad tho that it was so falsly advertised and then let us all down.
Something I could see happening is the AR-14D from the first game. I don't know if it was called that, but I remember using it in 2017 or so. It has poison laced rounds that slow down targets. There's also the old Defender and old Railgun, both of which packed an electrical charge to stun any target of any size.
Tendericer its a Liberator with less mag and a bit less fire rate but with more precision and less recoil
Shoot more and a bit faster or shoot less but with more accuracy
All the CEO has to tell the Devs is,"if Players are Not having FUN"
"your not doing your job,"
its PVE we dont need your fun nurfing ballence ,
we need Power and more Fun, then even more fun.
For me so far the weapon I've gotten the most use out of for primaries is the Sickle without question and Jar-5 in second. On secondaries it's Grenade Pistol with Senator following it up closely.
Blitz shotgun is my favorite gun now. The ability to stun/pushback enemies and 1 shot hunters is great. It's saved me from those fkim Stalkers MANY days.
The punisher plasma is one of my go-tos but it really only shines against bots. The AoE is pretty conveniently sized, especially if you hit a scout strider in the center of the formation. If you get the arc down, you can pretty easily erase patrols in a couple shots. It's a bit slow on devastators but it does stun lock them. There are some better options but on an Eradicate mission it can definitely be clutch.
It's still awesome vs bugs too, just way more dangerous especially since the splash radius is 8m lol
The localization scales its percentage depending on mission difficulty but only works on eradication and the generator/tower defense missions. Also, incindiary impact can still kill bot heavies like tanks and hulks W
I dunno if the criticism for the adjudicator is justified. After the changes it has gotten it has an actual use case which is enemies with medium armor like the hive guards. And it currently has the highest damage out of all the AR's as far as I'm aware. So bringing up the ammo count would just make it so you wouldn't use any of the other AR's anymore.
i used to use Local Confusion. it was really noticeable in lower levels at first, but with the patrol increase, its useless entirely in 5+
In all honesty, I miss the days of being able to just roll anything with the rail and personal shield. You didnt need anything else and it was a fucking blast.
I like the purifier a lot. It's versatile like the scorcher, and it staggers enemies in an area similar to the punisher shotgun. It can also destroy automaton gunships, which is pretty handy. It's fairly inconsistent with scout walkers, sometimes it's one shot, sometimes it's five, but they always get staggered by each shot, which can basically chain--cc. I haven't properly tested it against bugs yet, but as far as bots go, it's probably my favorite rn. The verdict is something I'm still conflicted on. I like it against bugs, but I'm on the fence for bots. I feel that too often when aiming center mass on a rocket raider no more than 15-20m away, my shots will narrowly scathe its armpit or shoulder. Atm I don't really see a reason to run the verdict over the senator, at least against bots, but it's cool. I think polar patriots is one of the better warbonds thus far, but that doesn't say a whole lot lol. But I am pretty disappointed the armors with the snowshoes didn't feature any sort of ability to resist ice or move faster through snow. Missed opportunity.
I forgot who it was that did the testing, maybe Eravin. The localized area confusion adds +30 seconds to the cooldown time of bug breaches and bot drops. This obviously excludes objectives that force these such as geological survey.
I don't think ALL primaries should be good at killing chaff. It'd be okay if we had a few that were better at killing bigger things or with more utility like the Eruptor, that way we'd have more reason to use stratagems like the Stalwart.
one thing to note about the tenderizer is its recoil value is the lowest out of the other existing AR's, so despite it being underwhelming it shoots buttery smooth. doesn't really fit with the fantasy that the gun is trying to sell though
Description even says "high caliber" lol. If that things high caliber than my great grandmother's old .22 bolt action is an AMR 😂
