- Welcome to Heavy Hitters. This event is all about big bass. Literally, $200,000 will be given out for big bass throughout each round. the biggest bass for this round will be worth $25,000 and I have caught 2 8lbers here during practice. I feel ok about it but this place is fishing tough so we will have to just grind it out and see where we land.

I fished that lake and won first place and big bass .....Best little lake in Louisiana. There were several of us that lost giants ....it hit hard !!

I rode in the boat with Terry Scroggins at the Bassmaster Memorial Tournament on Eagle Mountain Lake back in 2005. Almost bought a Bass Cat Pantera 3 for $33,999.00, but Charger was offering there 395TF with a Yamaha 3.1 VMAX OX66 for $2699.99. How did the Bass Cat perform vs the Tridon. Honestly?

It is all up to personal preference. They all have their own unique features. I have always been with triton and would always recommend them. I was running a triton before they were a sponsor if that says anything

Just a little tick. If u know she is under timber or any structure and breaking her off is the only outcome, pull off several feet of line attach a bobber to the line, before u break her off. U are allowed to grab ur line later, if u see ur line and hand line her in.
You can pull the line if it breaks but is it breaks one foot above the hook in 8 foot of water… you ain’t going to catch her
@@DCFishing U are so right! It’s one of those decisions u have to make, when u saw her jump and knew she was under something. I have done this 15 times. It’s actually worked twice😃. Instead of pulling it back down to the structure, u have to decide it at that moment.

That hurts.
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Can you catch the same fish twice. I’m sure it’s unlikely for it to bite twice in a short amount of time but not impossible
Yes it is possible. But like you said most of those largemouth will not bite again for a while and they get wise to the lures also.

The fish on that lake are so pressured and have seen so many lures that you have to drop line size and bait to try and trick them into bitting
