Closed Album: Bob Hole - Bob Collects Stamps

It's with deep sadness that I report the loss of another member of our philatelic community. Bob Hole, of the TH-cam channel Bob Collects Stamps passed away yesterday. He had been struggling with health issues recently. You can find the last video he made, on May 7, posted to his Facebook page, in which he expressed optimism that he would be resuming his video activity.
Rest in peace, Bob. I'll miss you.

Very sad news 😢. Thank you for sharing, Ted. Bob was a pioneer with all of us, taking his love for the hobby onto TH-cam and social media. He didn’t shy away from the uncomfortable discussions that we needed to have, and he created an environment that made us all feel welcome in the hobby. Bob will be missed.

I stopped collecting actively, but started watching his videos during the pandemic, and even bought a few stamps because of him. Sorry to hear this. Maybe I'll take a few out to look at later. He will be missed.

I saw this and instantly knew who you were talking about. Bob was a memorable and entertaining man, somehow strangely showing that "boring" things can be very entertaining. I usually watched his longform videos to the end and in this day and age that's impressive for a content creator. I remember from his videos he was in a wheelchair but I still find this news shocking. Does anyone know the specifics of the health battle he was facing?

In a March 21 Facebook post, he said he had been diagnosed with fatty liver cirrhosis, and he had developed jaundice.
