Gonna be honest, I prefered the deeper, lower sound of the old exhaust.
That maybe just me though.

Yeah Akro is good for a lot of bikes but I think the stock sounds right for the type of bike it is.

I don't like the akrapovic's sound . The original have a better sound.
they're both cool, the stock is grown up and nice, the akrapovic is loud, bonkers and very good too...
95% of the time you loose power....
You have to pay for a new tune too.
It's a loooottt of money for reducing your hearing life span.
I think for Akra most akra's tuning isn't required, though that certainly true for all other exhaust systems and some akra's
Tbh, the tone of your original exhaust sounded better. It was more deep and powerful sounding, just need to be a bit louder.
I find it blasphemous that the original exhaust covered so much of the rear wheel ensemble.
Sound and performance aside (it sounds so much better in person than a microphone can record and that chest area reverberation is to. die. for.) it looks 10 times better.

My Dad's getting one of these for his K1300S but I think he's mad. £1000 for an exhaust which to me isn't all that. You can get better looking carbon fibre ones for £300

Stock exhaust sounds deeper. I like it more. Even the look is not really better. Spending 1000$ for the Akra is really a waste of money.

The Beemer Boxers... as much as I love them (and I do), are never going to be a classical "great sounding" motorcycle... Akra has an uphill battle with that one. I usually rent GS's for weekend fund when I'm in Germany and it's warm enough... almost grabbed a R nine T in October - I think next trip I'm going to do it - it's a damned pretty bike!

Lol, all these comments about the stock exhaust sounding better tell me you obviously aren't motorcycle guys. Trust me, aftermarket exhausts always sound better than stock, and video recordings don't do justice, you have to hear it irl.
This is my next bike.... Like all supersports I have owned I've thrown on an Akra.... This will be no different 👍

Sounds just like a tmax when you change exhausts. Stock sounds good enough (at least for me) When you change exhausts, sounds much louder and raspier. Dont like. But the animation was tip top

The original exhaust in this video is without the DB Killer, Akrapovič has it in it. This makes all the difference in loudness.

How did you find your Roland Sands gear so far? I am taking it is the seat mostly?
I have read a few critics of the RS seats saying the leather was extremely thin and fragile and the stitches not very well finished. I am very tempted with a leather or alcantara/swede seat but given the price they go for, I really want to be certain of the quality. The alternative is to go local but that's not always easy if you have to bring a design of your own... I am struggling a bit with the reviews I have seen so far about Roland Sands' product line. The seats mostly.
