I've listened to all of your interviews with Tom Hanks and it's obvious that he appreciates your knowledge and enthusiasm for movies and moviemaking and thus it never feels like he's in "Junket Mode" when talking to you. 👍
I love this fantasy that everyone has had in our minds, at least once, about having a superstar iconic actor joining a regular conversation with friends about movies, and these kind of interviews (and specially the ones with Tom Hanks) tap into that specific fantasy in a way that is a joy to listen to. The idea of having a regular conversation outside the junket sphere is fascinating to me so thank you for bringing it to life once again.
Just wanted to say that I’ve been a fan of the pod for a long time and that I really appreciate what you guys do. The concept of Here sounds very intriguing to me and you guys are so right about critics going into certain films with their minds already made up, knives already sharpened to take it down. Unwilling to give the film a fair shot. You guys always remain so optimistic about film and that’s incredibly rare in the critical space nowadays. This was a great episode and I’m always looking forward to the next one.
Congrats on 40k subscribers, guys! Well deserved! 👏 I really loved your conversation with Tom and will try to catch it in theatre when it is released here.
45:41 It's strange because it's somewhat a mixture of nostalgia nd jealousy. I'm currently living with a smaller part of my family in the same city, and sometimes run across the old neighborhood where i grew up, and one night, I walked by and saw that there were people living there. As much as I would like to ring their doorbell to let me in, I'm also afraid of the legal repercussions that may follow. I missed that place so much.
Sean, have you seen Juror #2 yet? It seems to be getting good reviews and yet it’s only playing in 1 theatre in my entire city. I don’t get what Warner Bros is up to haha

I can’t tell if that’s both a burn and a compliment from Hanks. 😂

People who potentially enjoyed the movie can relate. And now, i feel like I might enjoy the movie, too.
Ridley Scott tier list for Gladiator 2?

I did not. It played the Savannah Film Festival but I left before it screened!

Will Tom do Origin ?
You all look like kids in a candy store 🥺🥰🤩
LOL, Jake does not look 46 Denzel!
My condolences Tom. You deserve better than this.
You guys are way better than Smartless.
