  • Part 2 of 2.. Fixing your Aviso Carbon Fiber surfboard is just as easy as fixing your old poly surfboard.
You can remove the drain plug. Dry it out completely. There is no foam to rot or wood to break.
If fixed properly Aviso surfboards will keep all of there integrity. This lets the board have the same ride
and feel it had the first day you rode it...

i got a small ding in the side of my board, not too bad with a hole about the size of a pinprick. at the time i didnt realise it needed to be fixed straight away and its been in the water for aboput 3 hours since. can anyone tell me whether its still just a simple ding repair job or do i need to do anythign else?

That buckle goes across the whole deck. why only repairing the rail section of it ?

Awesome- that's how they get it so slick and shiny. That red plastic stuff- what would you use if you were repairing a PU board?

So that red stuff is Peel Ply? I'm guessing better than saran wrap?

It looks like pink, anti-static, polypropylene/polyethylene bags we use in electronics. Fiberglassing kayaks, I can tell you even simple saran wrap peels away pretty easily when done. The thicker plastic bags are probably just a little less wrinkly, and don't tear as easily.
