Aviso Surfboards Ding Repair Video (part 2)
มุมมอง 81K17 ปีที่แล้ว
Part 2 of 2.. Fixing your Aviso Carbon Fiber surfboard is just as easy as fixing your old poly surfboard. You can remove the drain plug. Dry it out completely. There is no foam to rot or wood to break. If fixed properly Aviso surfboards will keep all of there integrity. This lets the board have the same ride and feel it had the first day you rode it...

Kook yuppie
what a waste of time. thanks for showing the most important part on how to finish the board to look decent. muppets.
Hello. The one with pink colour is it a plastic? How did u peel it of?
Is seems Aviso is non-existent/out of business. I've been looking for help and can't seem to contact you guys. My board is taking in water. Can you help?
they suck
That buckle goes across the whole deck. why only repairing the rail section of it ?
Hi how do you do to avoid the pink nylon get stuck when removed ?
It looks like pink, anti-static, polypropylene/polyethylene bags we use in electronics. Fiberglassing kayaks, I can tell you even simple saran wrap peels away pretty easily when done. The thicker plastic bags are probably just a little less wrinkly, and don't tear as easily.
At 4:08 you clearly say that "here the foam is damaged and loose" , yet in the description you state that "there is no foam"........WTF??? Oh, and by the way......ANSWER YOUR DAMN PHONE!!!!!
The last paper , is that wax paper or what ? you don't mention it . Sure we don't want it to stick
Frodo!!!!
WARDOOOOO!!!
Mask and gloves. Carbon fibber is dangerous. In aviation we use some epoxy resin with K20 to fill the gaps, and then we use carbon fibber, fibber glass or aramid (Kevlar) plays.
these things must be light as a twelve year old bulimic
get yourself another camera person or learn how to use you camera!
Yea th Aviso carbon fiber boards are marketed towards new surfers who are willing to blow money. The board is too rigid and floaty. Being so floaty, the board is too far above the water. So when you turn hard , the rails and fins feel like they don't grip the water. Also the rigidness gives the board less flex and it just feels stiff and junk. That's the cons. The pro is the material can take a beating. But if anyone tells you Carbon, FireWire or Epoxy boards are indestructible. Remember the T
where can i get one of these boards???? im looking fo a black lost rnf
You should let your son find his own Surf Broad.
if you have a damage carbon lets say a crack or a hole how progressive is it for a composite?
No one rides Aviso. Wardo just ride it cause Matt B pays him...So to me thats not a good sign
No one rides Aviso....So to me thats not a good sign
no hot coat?
suppose it's possible, but there are other issues: dark colored boards get very hot , very easily...wax melts and just slides off even on my red tuflite. Going from PU to other tech is a major pain because they float differently and demos are rare, so you have to buy what you hope might be the right size...it usually isn't. Too much float is just as bad as not enough.
Well, thanks for the advice, I will indeed get him both! He'll be so amazed. Again, thanks for the insight, very much appreciated!
What the fuck is up with this music
sounds like more of a pain in the ass than having to fix a dinged PU board :P
sounds like a pain in the ass to maintain
whats the song?
aviso is supposedly the stiffest board on the market...much stiffer than original tuflites. Haven't ridden aviso, but guess they would be sketchy on cutbacks
Should I get my son a surf broad for his birthday?
i got a small ding in the side of my board, not too bad with a hole about the size of a pinprick. at the time i didnt realise it needed to be fixed straight away and its been in the water for aboput 3 hours since. can anyone tell me whether its still just a simple ding repair job or do i need to do anythign else?
worst wardo surfing i've ever seen, pretty sure it's the board. i had an aviso RNF for a while...didn't seem to work until it got bowly/juicy.
Plug installation... So important video... never ever could imagine, that the plug installation such a hard work. Do you have any videos about how to correct close car's fuel tank cap, after refueling in gas station? Might be very useful as well.
fuck i wish i could afford that!
if your doing a perfect perfect perfect job like im doing right now it doesnt matter what way you do it in... *camara man laughing*
Well said 12 years later
because Aviso's are sick as fuck!
he didnt say it was!
i just wanna go surf! -why should i buy a board that i need to worry about temputature differences, drainage plugs and lubricated x-rings for? please someone answer that.
Nias is still one of my favorites; sick clip!!
Thanks God it is not an airplane wing (you are missing some mayor steps)
waste of bills if you ask me. plenty of other boards to shred on. all show : /
very sick...Too bad he's going to jail now.
its not the same board
So that red stuff is Peel Ply? I'm guessing better than saran wrap?
wait how did u do to get ir that shiny
its the plastic stuff ..peel-ply
Awesome- that's how they get it so slick and shiny. That red plastic stuff- what would you use if you were repairing a PU board?
