Just like “The Night the Lights went out in Georgia”, Reba took an old hit and breathed new life into it. But sometimes it’s hard to put perspective into it based on the time it was written.

Technically it's not child trafficking because Fancy was 18 years old, the age of consent. It's just sad but also to show that no matter how bad things are, you do what you have to do to get out of that. It's more of the plight what women have had to go through, since forever, to survive. Little girls being sold out to older men for their own satisfaction. But for Fancy, she became who she was but she still made sure that she made the decisions, they weren't made for her.
