Effective way to get silly putty out of carpet

I used 91% alcohol, rag,soapy water and cotton balls. Take a cotton ball that has alcohol rub until it separates the putty from carpet. Last use rag with soapy water to finish cleaning.

My friend had this iridescent putty and her friends stuck it to my sweatshirt. I cried so hard and looked up how to get it off. Yours had the best. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WORKED! I was playing with my putty and my mom called me to come downstairs to eat dinner, and I left the putty... ON THE FLOOR! When came back I hid it by putting some old junk on it and went to search for a way to get it off and I saw this. Now here's the thing, my parents are more laid-back, but if you destroy something, you'll get the grounding of a lifetime! So I had to sneak in some rubbing alcohol and waited till Everyone was asleep. And I did it and it worked! But the smell is awful! So I had to also sneak in some air freshener. Well here is the thing I have added way to much shaving cream to make it softer but it got too runny and stuck. I only had to use the alcohol but it worked amazing. Usually to clean I use alcohol but I was just panicking so I got on TH-cam to look up how to get putty off of a desk and I saw this and I am not regretting I watched it. life hack: i got my slime on my moms expensive rug i did not have alcohol so i used nail polish remover and scrubbed it worked for me

Nail polish remover will delaminate the glue on the back of the rug (bad) and remove the fibers leaving a bald spot

I know your method works, but another good one is oven cleaner, spray on and let dry then come back with hot water and a grill brush, it all comes off easier. Has worked for me

if you get slime on your bed sheets soak the area that the slime is stuck on in water and rub it with your hands or nails(I used me nails)until I got some off then use a towel and scrub it and I should come out and you won't have to tell your parents👍
