Never scrub carpet in circles, only back and forth. Otherwise you will untwist the fibers.

Don’t rub it all around that much, your carpet fibres are going to end up a messy fuzzy patch and the area will stand out forever.

Omg thank you so much. Me and my friend tried to hide the same for my mom that we didn’t even know where it came from. And we tried your method added a little bit of toothpaste works so well. It was very dark putty but it still worked on my light carpet my mom doesn’t even care, if we get another stain cuz we can clean it our self

I just used alcohol, a rag/washcloth, and A LOT of elbow grease. I squirted the alchohol directly on the silly putty stain.

OMG!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much. My puppy spilled Neon Pink putty on the rug in our new house. My parents would have killed me. But it worked, took a lot of scrubbing to get that Neon Pink out it’s gone. I’m so glad.
