I have issues during the music/worship time at church. At home I can sing the same songs and be full of praise and zeal. But when in a large congregation, it feels disingenuous and manufactured. Like “insert praise time here”. Sometimes the worship can translate…but sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know what it is. I want to be full of praise and zeal. But it just feel like a forced thing that’s not there. I find moments with Spirit-filled brothers and sisters (usually speaking about bible things, edifying things) in personal moments much more satisfying than in a large room of people in a church building. Maybe it’s the church setting…it’s a bigger church and not everyone is in regular attendance and in the same place. They’re all strangers. It’s so sad because the church is supposed to be greeting each other “with a sacred kiss”. There should be a feeling of family, bond, togetherness. And it simply isn’t there. I think that’s what’s wrong with the modern church…that real sense of community is lacking. Much of it feels manufactured. It’s like conveyerbelt, fast food christianity. They’re on a time crunch and they have to dish it out quick, so people can go out to their Sunday lunch.
I can definitely relate! You are on my soap box. My experience hasn't been like the early church. I am the only believer in my family and it is hard to nearly impossible to break into the clicks. I am in need of family support.
This video speaks directly to me. I've been so discouraged and spiritually lazy. I haven't been attending church for few weeks now. My only reason is my body pains 😩 😫. I had a prayer this morning while driving to work. I asked God to help me with spiritual encouragement 🙏🏽
Man, she always brings it!! Woooweee 👏🏻✝️💪🏻 My biggest struggles... 1. Finding time to read the Bible 2. When I get really mad at my husband, I shut everyone out (emotionally)...mostly including God. It’s when I turn into a brat inside. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ The first one is easier to fix but the second one seems nearly impossible. The many hurts in my lifetime has turned into a bad habit of shutting down. ...but it has improved...a little ☺️😬 I’m thankful being a Christian doesn’t mean I am perfect but a work in progress 👌😁👍🏻
😢😔🙏 wish we didn't didn't have these issues and not just to do with laziness... and the issues that created it (and the spirits that keep cause this laziness messing up in it all) Is this a real big issue that effects everything! And like how sin seems to get entangled with everything depending on your mindset/convictions etc 😔 is it also a narsissitic characteristic? And where we also get mad but where the love of The true loving God should be is what stops the Lazyness and also the spirit of LOVE especially with the true loving God Spirit needs to fill us and fix and heals and overcome everything! But then we get caught up in other issues fears/anger and excuses and other things or spirits make it so challenging for us or it seems like how much pressure its put on us and our beliefs or what needs to motivate us 😞 (making ourselves so weak and hopeless to make us more needy for God or others... but then can also get to a stage where want/not wanting to do things better or a false humility and ego self esteem issues. Being so imbalanced in roles or Energies😔 and wanted/needing the true loving spirit of God in us to work together and through us to be motivated in love and not fear or negative force or because you "have to" ... and where the issues of love and serving others/self needed balance or when the negative spirits Energies mess up the mindsets with slavery/freedom issues 😞 or the clashes of the spiritual beliefs battles and other things that became negative and overwhelmed you or also showing the illusion and also your spiritual state issues of your heart and mind and connected with God issues... with questioning the faith or haveing the lack of it and the Loving spirit etc. But still blame and believe it is all due to the negative evil spirits that got to us too easily or the spells but it also could be part or the "changes" that we are going through or should be also seeing the illusions lies we also got caught up in certain beliefs especially in church/religiously in the laws and standards... or what we also make part of the true truth or lies or what we see in ourselves we avoided or causing us to be lazy. Or then others veiws how we ok and don't need fixing and to believe and have that level of faith or connection/relationship that it's already done and healing healed of our issues and especially with the spiritual laziness or weakness. For some "lazy" pleasures or staying home more being simple and avoiding people because or your issues and reactions or what's been going and building up and also being destructive 😔etc (but then also in a cycle of dealing not wanting to deal with issues especially with the negative Spirits getting to your thoughts and heart or getting mad with issues and being more self focused and not so positive relationship towards others 😔) Still believe how we all need help with it all and we wouldnt be as lazy if we are al made good given the power and the right Loving spirit and balanced spirit (and not to judge compare our roles in who does more or better adds to the laziness issues etc) And also the pressure of doing more or enough or that issues of overwhelming feeling that its too much and then an shut down and avoiding to do things or using it as excuses of not good enough or someone can do it better than me etc 😔 And the "work" slave mentally issues... or needing different mindset (or how the negative demonic energies or spirit gets you so out of balance too of not enough or too much and the challenge of all areas of life to keep up with and the bible saying what Jesus told us to do or specific to some people how to leave all and follow him etc... 😔) and some do seem enjoy or have the spirit to get through it all. And believe in Christ. And then also biblical beliefs that clash or get distorted too. Like with works life and faith issues and endtimes events... and pressures of always needed to be ready and prepared and also when negative spirits took over the love of God issues and challenges 😔
And also seeing laziness vs clashes with beliefs biblically and and the flesh issues where not to live out as worldly or as a slave to the world or negative dark forces energies or the "pleasures of the world" issues 😔 and seen as lazy when you don't work on gaining more or better and issues with the true blessings and balance of life and love connection with true loving God and others etc...
The true light Jesus/Christos saviour the true loving God source Spirit Creator is still "King" and rule but the true loving and the Spirit that still wins saves and restores all no matter what... the true light forces and saving all from being evil or fallen to the dark negative forces energies and agendas.... and the balance of the family energies (male/female) us all be people of God. And that the spirit fill in all of us makes us One and with God.... but also where it seems to get out of balance where "working" and division and spending more time to keep up working and not being "lazy" to be still moments or enjoying life too becomes an issue. And especially how more enslaved (to work and get more money and as things seem to get more expensive etc 😔) we get to just live and survive especially with any type of lifestyle that needs more time and effort (or also get caught up not doing much and seem to get lazy) 😔 And where it should not be hard work or you must push yourself especially if you are in the True Loving God Spirit (or the Spirit taking "Control" in the lead) it won't be so hard and also not lazy 😔

God is kind for answering my prayer: 5 & 6 is something I'm learning to fully submit to Him. admit that I followed circumstances more than His truth that never changes. prayers so appreciated!
I struggle most with that last part and the "Buts" as well. I never hide it from God and I tell him about it but then immediately I get answer on what to do. I know what we are comanded to do daily but I always think to myself "Is there something else God wants me to do"? Is kinda causes me to have anxiety. I always make excuses then I'm immediately convicted and I confess them to God. Right now I am at a season of stillness and maybe that's what God wants me to do. Wait on him and continue to listen. In the mean time I have been praying alot more and just spilling everything out but it doesn't help I struggle with falling into a certain temptation. I know God will free me of this but I need to use the word more when I'm getting into temptation. Thankfully I know for a fact It'll be over with eventually and God will get the glory of it. He won't let me stay in this position forever. I know he won't because I keep repenting and seeking him. Also, I think I use my in own strength rather than Jesus... Which I need to stop doing.
Everyday ! We don't have Time to be Lazy ... recovering from a Lot and don't reach out to People unless it's for a Prayer of agreement from Ministry Partners ... not Anyone around Me.
I speak for myself and appreciate that others feel differently. I have found active, loud worship very distracting, making my participation superficial. This led to a lot of guilt about not worshipping Yahweh wholeheartedly. I was also in a church that emphasised worship via music that was not biblically and doctrinally accurate. Therefore the whole ‘package’ of worship seemed false to me. I started focusing on daily worship in my inner room and daily time with the Father. I was also led to question what corporate worship looked like biblically in the early church. I know that in the Old Testament, King David clapped and danced before God, but not as part of corporate worship. I have no problem with this and believe we should all express our appreciation and love to God. But I am not convinced that the loud ‘smoke and drums’ type of worship is represented anywhere in Scripture as an example of worship. I do not want to be spiritually lazy and I an looking to the Word and to the Father, to clarify this matter of worship for me. In the meantime, my daily worship time with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit is my deepest joy.
I encourage you to start every new day with this thought: “God loves me and gave His only Son for me. Jesus is all for me today. I am saved, healed, favored, righteous, and accepted in Christ the Beloved.” Start your day by occupying your mind with Jesus. For a season in my life, before I even got out of bed, I would repeat to myself over and over again, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Some mornings I would say it more than fifty times. I wanted it to be a revelation pulsating in my heart, an unshakable belief that God is for me and with me. When you occupy your mind with Jesus, every struggle, fear, and bondage that you are entangled with will lose its evil grasp on you! There is a beautiful picture of Jesus hidden in the Old Testament. Under the old covenant of the law, those who sinned were told to bring a sheep that was without blemish, wrinkle, or spot to the priest. The priest does not examine the person to see if he is perfect (without sin), because he has sinned. So the priest examines the sheep. If the sheep is indeed perfect, the person who has sinned lays his hands on the sheep in an act of transferring his sins to the innocent sheep. At the same time, the innocence and perfection of the sheep are transferred to the person. The sheep is then killed, and the person leaves with his conscience cleared and his sin debt forgiven. He walks away under an open heaven of God’s favor and blessing. Can you see Jesus in this Old Testament practice? The sheep without blemish, spot, or wrinkle is a picture of the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ Himself, who takes away the sins of the world. The priest is a picture of God. He doesn’t examine you for your sins. Instead, He examines Jesus, and because Jesus is gloriously perfect, you can live today with your conscience cleared and your sin debt forgiven. You can walk under an open heaven and expect God’s favor and blessings in your life. What a beautiful picture of God’s abundant and lavish grace. Today, turn your eyes away from yourself and stop the self-introspection! Look to Jesus, the Lamb of God, and see His perfection as your perfection. See His innocence as your innocence, His righteousness as your righteousness. Be occupied with Him, and be transformed from the inside out. There is so much wrong believing today about who Jesus is. I am asking you to throw out every idea, concept, and picture that you may have of a “religious” Jesus. Allow me to introduce the real Jesus to you, for this is where it all begins. I’m not talking about the religious Jesus you may have heard about growing up, but the real Jesus who walked along the dusty streets of Jerusalem and upon the raging waters of the Galilee. He was the one whom the sick, the poor, the sinful, the down and out, and the outcast instinctively gravitated to and felt at ease with. He was God in the flesh and He manifested God’s tangible love. In His presence, those who were imperfect didn’t feel fearful of Him, or sense judgment or condemnation from Him. To those who sought Him for healing, restoration, and supply-no matter what their past or background-He always extended a loving, compassionate heart and hand to them and oversupplied their need. Contrary to what a lot of people think, you don’t have to be “religious” to have access to God and His help. In fact, the less “religious” you are, the better. The real Jesus didn’t come to bring a new religion. He didn’t come to be served and waited upon. No, He came to serve, and serve He did. The real Jesus created the universe with one command and orchestrated the paths of each planet so that none would collide. He had every right to demand service from those He created, yet He supplied service. He bowed down and with His own hands washed the grime and filth from His disciples’ feet. Those same hands would later be pierced with coarse nails at the cross, and He would with His own blood wash us of the grime and filth of all our sins by taking them upon His own body. What a far cry from the condemning, judgmental, faultfinding God whom many have portrayed Him to be! This is the true Jesus-totally unlike what many of us have been taught about God. He is willing and able to meet your need today and love you into wholeness. If You Only Knew “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water…. Anyone who drinks this water [from the well] will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:10, 13-14 NLT John 4 tells the story of a shunned Samaritan woman who encountered Jesus when she came to draw water at a well. When she asked Jesus why He (a Jew) would ask her (a despised Samaritan) for a drink of water, this was His amazing response: that she would ask Him for living water, the only thing that would satisfy her from within and slake her deep thirst for acceptance and love forever. What an amazing Savior! Although this woman had a past of looking for love in all the wrong places that imprisoned her in shame and self-loathing, Jesus met her at her point of greatest need with the offer of Himself, the living water. He knew all that she had ever done and yet offered her the true intimacy that fully satisfies every aching need. He invited her to discover, taste, and experience His perfect and unconditional love. Jesus is saying the same thing to you today: If you only knew who it is who comes to you in your darkest and weakest moments. If you only knew this gift of God who will never leave you nor forsake you, who has gone before you and who comes to you in the midst of your storms. If you only knew the One who reaches out to you even when you have failed and who doesn’t hold your past mistakes or present failures against you. Beloved, if you only knew this gift of God who offers the living water of His unconditional, endless love to you and you drink of that love, you will never thirst again. You won’t need to look for love or acceptance in all the wrong places, have your heart broken and fearful about the future, and have your life derailed. You can wake up with a fresh expectation of good every day. Jesus was essentially inviting the woman to ask Him for the living water of His love. Will you do that today? Your life will never be the same again when you personally experience His love! The Good Shepherd He will protect His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom; He will gently and carefully lead those nursing their young. Isaiah 40:11 AMP I want to show you how there are no insignificant details in the Bible by uncovering hidden truths concealed in the names of the six cities of refuge found in Joshua 20. Read along with me and let’s see what the Lord has for us: “So they appointed Kedesh in Galilee, in the mountains of Naphtali, Shechem in the mountains of Ephraim, and Kirjath Arba (which is Hebron) in the mountains of Judah. And on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness on the plain, from the tribe of Reuben, Ramoth in Gilead, from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan, from the tribe of Manasseh” (Josh. 20:7-8, boldface mine). Let me give you the meaning of the names in order of their appearance. Kedesh means holy place or sanctuary. In the cities of refuge, people sought asylum in the sanctuaries. Joseph was buried in Shechem and his tomb is still there. Next, we have Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron. Hebron means friendship or fellowship, and is the place where Abraham and Sarah were buried. Then, on the east side of the Jordan River, we have Bezer, which means fortress, followed by Ramoth, which means heights or highly exalted. We end with Golan, which means rejoicing or joy. Now, let’s put these names together to see the message for us: You can find sanctuary (Kedesh) on the Lord’s strong shoulders (Shechem), which He offers in fellowship (Hebron). He is our fortress (Bezer) and He highly exalts (Ramoth) us above all our troubles with great rejoicing (Golan). Hallelujah, all praise and glory to the Name above all names! The names paint a stunning picture of our Lord Jesus, stooping down to where we are, and offering His stronger shoulders to us when we are fearful and weary. What a beautiful picture of the Good Shepherd rescuing His lost sheep! Beloved, when we have failed and are completely worn out by the fights of life, He offers His shoulders in fellowship. He is our sanctuary. He is our holy place, where we are set apart from the world. When we respond to His desire for fellowship and climb on His broad shoulders, He lifts us up. The Lord bless you and the Lord keep you. The blessings of God will manifest in your life throughout this week. You’ll see them pop, one by one. Acknowledge them, and thank the Lord for them. Amen. The Definition of Repentance the Greek word metanoia, which literally means “to change the mind.” Repentance fundamentally means to change your mind about something. It has to do with the way you think about something. You’ve been thinking one way, but now you think the opposite way. That’s repentance - the changing of the mind. Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:14-15 For all the talk of “nuclear disarmament,” are you aware that there is someone more sinister who has already been disarmed of his power over your life? The Bible says that God has “disarmed principalities and powers,” referring to Satan and his cohorts (Eph. 6:12). So the devil has already been disarmed. But do you know what weapon he was wielding before his forced disarmament? Today’s Scripture gives us the answer clearly: the devil was armed with the “handwriting of requirements that was against us.” On Mount Sinai, God wrote the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone. The “handwriting of requirements” was thus a reference to the law that was written by the finger of God. Let me stress that the law is holy, just, and good. It was designed by God to expose man’s weaknesses, sins, and inability to be holy, just, and good so that man would see his need for a Savior. You need to understand that no amount of keeping the law can make you holy. Only the blood of Jesus can do that. The devil then armed himself with the law to accuse and condemn man. Now, listen carefully to this: God didn’t give the law to arm the devil, but the devil, knowing that the law was against us, took advantage of it and has been using it as his weapon to further alienate us from God. Once the law was nailed to the cross of Jesus, God knew that the law no longer had the power to condemn us as long as we believed on Jesus. Therefore, when you know and believe that Jesus has fulfilled completely the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf, the devil cannot use the law to condemn you every time you fail. Today, if the enemy uses the law to point out your sins, look to the cross of Jesus and reject the condemnation. You may say, “No one can blot out God’s handwriting.” Yes, you are right. No man can, but God can! And God did it righteously. My friend, you have been redeemed from the curse of the law. The devil and his crew have been disarmed. Hallelujah! Refuse to subject yourself any longer to the old covenant system of the law. Don’t put the weapon of the law back into the devil’s hands. Every teaching that says, “You have to keep the law to be blessed by God,” is doing just that. Reject such legalistic teachings and rest in the truth of God’s disarmament and grace. The more you believe and embrace the truth of His grace, the more you are empowered to experience victory over your failings and challenges. This is how you reign, and when you reign, the devil doesn’t! 🌈🌊🔥🍷🥖✝️❣💯🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ When we fail and fall short of the law’s perfect standard, that is the time we should exercise our faith to say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” At that very moment when you are seething in anger at your spouse, or when you have just lost your cool on the road, it takes faith to say that you are righteous because you know that you have missed it. And you know what? The moment you say it, even if you are still in the midst of your anger, you will feel like you have ushered something good into that situation. You take a step back and start to relax, and the anger dissipates as you begin to realize your true identity in Christ. Men, if you see a scantily clad woman on television or on the cover of a magazine and you are tempted, what is your first response? Are you sin-conscious or righteousness-conscious? Sin-consciousness will draw you to succumb to your temptation, whereas righteousness-consciousness gives you the power to overcome every temptation. That is why the enemy wants to keep you sin-conscious. Confessing your sins all the time keeps you sin-conscious. It is as if Jesus did not become your sin on the cross. Righteousness-consciousness keeps you conscious of Jesus. Every time you speak it, you magnify the work of Jesus on the cross. So believe and speak the truth: “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Then, you cannot help but see the results of magnifying the Lord Jesus and His finished work! For some "lazy" pleasures or staying home more being simple and avoiding people because or your issues and reactions or what's been going and building up and also being destructive 😔etc (but then also in a cycle of dealing not wanting to deal with issues especially with the negative Spirits getting to your thoughts and heart or getting mad with issues and being more self focused and not so positive relationship towards others 😔) Still believe how we all need help with it all and we wouldnt be as lazy if we are al made good given the power and the right Loving spirit and balanced spirit (and not to judge compare our roles in who does more or better adds to the laziness issues etc)
And also the pressure of doing more or enough or that issues of overwhelming feeling that its too much and then an shut down and avoiding to do things or using it as excuses of not good enough or someone can do it better than me etc 😔
And the "work" slave mentally issues... or needing different mindset (or how the negative demonic energies or spirit gets you so out of balance too of not enough or too much and the challenge of all areas of life to keep up with and the bible saying what Jesus told us to do or specific to some people how to leave all and follow him etc... 😔) and some do seem enjoy or have the spirit to get through it all. And believe in Christ.
And then also biblical beliefs that clash or get distorted too.
Like with works life and faith issues and endtimes events... and pressures of always needed to be ready and prepared and also when negative spirits took over the love of God issues and challenges 😔
And also seeing laziness vs clashes with beliefs biblically and and the flesh issues where not to live out as worldly or as a slave to the world or negative dark forces energies or the "pleasures of the world" issues 😔 and seen as lazy when you don't work on gaining more or better and issues with the true blessings and balance of life and love connection with true loving God and others etc...
The true light Jesus/Christos saviour the true loving God source Spirit Creator is still "King" and rule but the true loving and the Spirit that still wins saves and restores all no matter what... the true light forces and saving all from being evil or fallen to the dark negative forces energies and agendas....
and the balance of the family energies (male/female) us all be people of God. And that the spirit fill in all of us makes us One and with God.... but also where it seems to get out of balance where "working" and division and spending more time to keep up working and not being "lazy" to be still moments or enjoying life too becomes an issue. And especially how more enslaved (to work and get more money and as things seem to get more expensive etc 😔) we get to just live and survive especially with any type of lifestyle that needs more time and effort (or also get caught up not doing much and seem to get lazy) 😔
And where it should not be hard work or you must push yourself especially if you are in the True Loving God Spirit (or the Spirit taking "Control" in the lead) it won't be so hard and also not lazy 😔

I struggle most with that last part and the "Buts" as well. I never hide it from God and I tell him about it but then immediately I get answer on what to do. I know what we are comanded to do daily but I always think to myself "Is there something else God wants me to do"? Is kinda causes me to have anxiety. I always make excuses then I'm immediately convicted and I confess them to God. Right now I am at a season of stillness and maybe that's what God wants me to do. Wait on him and continue to listen. In the mean time I have been praying alot more and just spilling everything out but it doesn't help I struggle with falling into a certain temptation. I know God will free me of this but I need to use the word more when I'm getting into temptation. Thankfully I know for a fact It'll be over with eventually and God will get the glory of it. He won't let me stay in this position forever. I know he won't because I keep repenting and seeking him. Also, I think I use my in own strength rather than Jesus... Which I need to stop doing.

I speak for myself and appreciate that others feel differently. I have found active, loud worship very distracting, making my participation superficial. This led to a lot of guilt about not worshipping Yahweh wholeheartedly. I was also in a church that emphasised worship via music that was not biblically and doctrinally accurate. Therefore the whole ‘package’ of worship seemed false to me. I started focusing on daily worship in my inner room and daily time with the Father. I was also led to question what corporate worship looked like biblically in the early church. I know that in the Old Testament, King David clapped and danced before God, but not as part of corporate worship. I have no problem with this and believe we should all express our appreciation and love to God. But I am not convinced that the loud ‘smoke and drums’ type of worship is represented anywhere in Scripture as an example of worship. I do not want to be spiritually lazy and I an looking to the Word and to the Father, to clarify this matter of worship for me. In the meantime, my daily worship time with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit is my deepest joy.

Galatians 5:22-23
I encourage you to start every new day with this thought: “God loves me and gave His only Son for me. Jesus is all for me today. I am saved, healed, favored, righteous, and accepted in Christ the Beloved.”
Start your day by occupying your mind with Jesus. For a season in my life, before I even got out of bed, I would repeat to myself over and over again, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Some mornings I would say it more than fifty times. I wanted it to be a revelation pulsating in my heart, an unshakable belief that God is for me and with me. When you occupy your mind with Jesus, every struggle, fear, and bondage that you are entangled with will lose its evil grasp on you!
There is a beautiful picture of Jesus hidden in the Old Testament. Under the old covenant of the law, those who sinned were told to bring a sheep that was without blemish, wrinkle, or spot to the priest. The priest does not examine the person to see if he is perfect (without sin), because he has sinned. So the priest examines the sheep.
If the sheep is indeed perfect, the person who has sinned lays his hands on the sheep in an act of transferring his sins to the innocent sheep. At the same time, the innocence and perfection of the sheep are transferred to the person. The sheep is then killed, and the person leaves with his conscience cleared and his sin debt forgiven. He walks away under an open heaven of God’s favor and blessing.
Can you see Jesus in this Old Testament practice? The sheep without blemish, spot, or wrinkle is a picture of the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ Himself, who takes away the sins of the world. The priest is a picture of God. He doesn’t examine you for your sins. Instead, He examines Jesus, and because Jesus is gloriously perfect, you can live today with your conscience cleared and your sin debt forgiven. You can walk under an open heaven and expect God’s favor and blessings in your life. What a beautiful picture of God’s abundant and lavish grace.
Today, turn your eyes away from yourself and stop the self-introspection! Look to Jesus, the Lamb of God, and see His perfection as your perfection. See His innocence as your innocence, His righteousness as your righteousness. Be occupied with Him, and be transformed from the inside out.
There is so much wrong believing today about who Jesus is. I am asking you to throw out every idea, concept, and picture that you may have of a “religious” Jesus. Allow me to introduce the real Jesus to you, for this is where it all begins. I’m not talking about the religious Jesus you may have heard about growing up, but the real Jesus who walked along the dusty streets of Jerusalem and upon the raging waters of the Galilee.
He was the one whom the sick, the poor, the sinful, the down and out, and the outcast instinctively gravitated to and felt at ease with. He was God in the flesh and He manifested God’s tangible love. In His presence, those who were imperfect didn’t feel fearful of Him, or sense judgment or condemnation from Him. To those who sought Him for healing, restoration, and supply-no matter what their past or background-He always extended a loving, compassionate heart and hand to them and oversupplied their need.
Contrary to what a lot of people think, you don’t have to be “religious” to have access to God and His help. In fact, the less “religious” you are, the better. The real Jesus didn’t come to bring a new religion. He didn’t come to be served and waited upon. No, He came to serve, and serve He did.
The real Jesus created the universe with one command and orchestrated the paths of each planet so that none would collide. He had every right to demand service from those He created, yet He supplied service. He bowed down and with His own hands washed the grime and filth from His disciples’ feet. Those same hands would later be pierced with coarse nails at the cross, and He would with His own blood wash us of the grime and filth of all our sins by taking them upon His own body. What a far cry from the condemning, judgmental, faultfinding God whom many have portrayed Him to be!
This is the true Jesus-totally unlike what many of us have been taught about God. He is willing and able to meet your need today and love you into wholeness.
If You Only Knew
“If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water…. Anyone who drinks this water [from the well] will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
John 4:10, 13-14 NLT
John 4 tells the story of a shunned Samaritan woman who encountered Jesus when she came to draw water at a well. When she asked Jesus why He (a Jew) would ask her (a despised Samaritan) for a drink of water, this was His amazing response: that she would ask Him for living water, the only thing that would satisfy her from within and slake her deep thirst for acceptance and love forever.
What an amazing Savior! Although this woman had a past of looking for love in all the wrong places that imprisoned her in shame and self-loathing, Jesus met her at her point of greatest need with the offer of Himself, the living water. He knew all that she had ever done and yet offered her the true intimacy that fully satisfies every aching need. He invited her to discover, taste, and experience His perfect and unconditional love.
Jesus is saying the same thing to you today: If you only knew who it is who comes to you in your darkest and weakest moments. If you only knew this gift of God who will never leave you nor forsake you, who has gone before you and who comes to you in the midst of your storms. If you only knew the One who reaches out to you even when you have failed and who doesn’t hold your past mistakes or present failures against you.
Beloved, if you only knew this gift of God who offers the living water of His unconditional, endless love to you and you drink of that love, you will never thirst again. You won’t need to look for love or acceptance in all the wrong places, have your heart broken and fearful about the future, and have your life derailed. You can wake up with a fresh expectation of good every day.
Jesus was essentially inviting the woman to ask Him for the living water of His love. Will you do that today? Your life will never be the same again when you personally experience His love!
The Good Shepherd
He will protect His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom; He will gently and carefully lead those nursing their young.

I want to show you how there are no insignificant details in the Bible by uncovering hidden truths concealed in the names of the six cities of refuge found in Joshua 20. Read along with me and let’s see what the Lord has for us: “So they appointed Kedesh in Galilee, in the mountains of Naphtali, Shechem in the mountains of Ephraim, and Kirjath Arba (which is Hebron) in the mountains of Judah. And on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness on the plain, from the tribe of Reuben, Ramoth in Gilead, from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan, from the tribe of Manasseh” (Josh. 20:7-8, boldface mine).
Let me give you the meaning of the names in order of their appearance. Kedesh means holy place or sanctuary. In the cities of refuge, people sought asylum in the sanctuaries. Then we have Shechem, which means shoulder. Shechem, by the way, is where Jacob’s well is. Our Lord Jesus met the woman at the well in Shechem. Joseph was buried in Shechem and his tomb is still there. Next, we have Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron. Hebron means friendship or fellowship, and is the place where Abraham and Sarah were buried. Then, on the east side of the Jordan River, we have Bezer, which means fortress, followed by Ramoth, which means heights or highly exalted. We end with Golan, which means rejoicing or joy.
Now, let’s put these names together to see the message for us: You can find sanctuary (Kedesh) on the Lord’s strong shoulders (Shechem), which He offers in fellowship (Hebron). He is our fortress (Bezer) and He highly exalts (Ramoth) us above all our troubles with great rejoicing (Golan).
Hallelujah, all praise and glory to the Name above all names! The names paint a stunning picture of our Lord Jesus, stooping down to where we are, and offering His stronger shoulders to us when we are fearful and weary. What a beautiful picture of the Good Shepherd rescuing His lost sheep!
Beloved, when we have failed and are completely worn out by the fights of life, He offers His shoulders in fellowship. He is our sanctuary. He is our holy place, where we are set apart from the world. When we respond to His desire for fellowship and climb on His broad shoulders, He lifts us up.
The Lord bless you and the Lord keep you. The blessings of God will manifest in your life throughout this week. You’ll see them pop, one by one. Acknowledge them, and thank the Lord for them. The Lord keep you, preserve, protect you and your loved ones throughout this week from the COVID-19 virus, and from every disease, and from every danger, harm, and from all the powers of darkness. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord make His face to shine on you. Behold Him as He is, so are you. His face is full of glory, shining on you, granting you His favor everywhere you go this week. Favor surrounds you like a shield. The Definition of Repentance
the Greek word metanoia, which literally means “to change the mind.” Repentance fundamentally means to change your mind about something. It has to do with the way you think about something. You’ve been thinking one way, but now you think the opposite way. That’s repentance - the changing of the mind.
Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Colossians 2:14-15
For all the talk of “nuclear disarmament,” are you aware that there is someone more sinister who has already been disarmed of his power over your life? The Bible says that God has “disarmed principalities and powers,” referring to Satan and his cohorts (Eph. 6:12). So the devil has already been disarmed. But do you know what weapon he was wielding before his forced disarmament?
Today’s Scripture gives us the answer clearly: the devil was armed with the “handwriting of requirements that was against us.” On Mount Sinai, God wrote the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone. The “handwriting of requirements” was thus a reference to the law that was written by the finger of God. Let me stress that the law is holy, just, and good. It was designed by God to expose man’s weaknesses, sins, and inability to be holy, just, and good so that man would see his need for a Savior. You need to understand that no amount of keeping the law can make you holy. Only the blood of Jesus can do that.
The devil then armed himself with the law to accuse and condemn man. Now, listen carefully to this: God didn’t give the law to arm the devil, but the devil, knowing that the law was against us, took advantage of it and has been using it as his weapon to further alienate us from God. That’s why when God nailed the law to the cross, He made a public spectacle of the devil and all the powers of darkness! Once the law was nailed to the cross of Jesus, God knew that the law no longer had the power to condemn us as long as we believed on Jesus. Therefore, when you know and believe that Jesus has fulfilled completely the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf, the devil cannot use the law to condemn you every time you fail.
Today, if the enemy uses the law to point out your sins, look to the cross of Jesus and reject the condemnation. You may say, “No one can blot out God’s handwriting.” Yes, you are right. No man can, but God can! And God did it righteously. My friend, you have been redeemed from the curse of the law. The devil and his crew have been disarmed. Hallelujah!
Refuse to subject yourself any longer to the old covenant system of the law. Don’t put the weapon of the law back into the devil’s hands. Every teaching that says, “You have to keep the law to be blessed by God,” is doing just that. Reject such legalistic teachings and rest in the truth of God’s disarmament and grace. The more you believe and embrace the truth of His grace, the more you are empowered to experience victory over your failings and challenges. This is how you reign, and when you reign, the devil doesn’t!

When we fail and fall short of the law’s perfect standard, that is the time we should exercise our faith to say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” At that very moment when you are seething in anger at your spouse, or when you have just lost your cool on the road, it takes faith to say that you are righteous because you know that you have missed it. And you know what? The moment you say it, even if you are still in the midst of your anger, you will feel like you have ushered something good into that situation. You take a step back and start to relax, and the anger dissipates as you begin to realize your true identity in Christ.
Men, if you see a scantily clad woman on television or on the cover of a magazine and you are tempted, what is your first response? Are you sin-conscious or righteousness-conscious? Sin-consciousness will draw you to succumb to your temptation, whereas righteousness-consciousness gives you the power to overcome every temptation. That is why the enemy wants to keep you sin-conscious. Confessing your sins all the time keeps you sin-conscious. It is as if Jesus did not become your sin on the cross. Righteousness-consciousness keeps you conscious of Jesus. Every time you speak it, you magnify the work of Jesus on the cross. So believe and speak the truth: “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Then, you cannot help but see the results of magnifying the Lord Jesus and His finished work!
