My favorite thing about spiritbox is that it's not just courtney carrying a bunch of nameless musicians, the band behind her is just as good as she is, and that's what makes spiritbox so special to me, even though they aren't necessarily doing something "new"
100% agree. Mike’s riffs are always killer. No need to re-invent the wheel, just gotta make a damn good one haha
Plus, how she (Courtney) writes lyrics. She just pulls me in emotionally/mentally from the get-go.

Indeed, the band is a talented group. They write music that is so different and unique compared to others.
Bill Crook, Mike and Zev are all really well known musicians and were before Spiritbox.

The greatest female vocalist out there right now. And the hooks they write are just stupid good. I was a session drummer (Nashville, Atlanta and LA) for 25 years and never once did anyone impress me like this band does.
It's even in the details. The paus in between "feedback ------- loop" @4:45 is an example of this. Such a banger!
Floor Jansen is also a great female metal vocalist. Check Nightwish from Finland🙂

Courtney LaPlante is a S tier vocalist in metal period. Women or male her vocal range is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. I’m so happy to see this band blow up the way it is. Glad you guys loved the song and video too 🤘🏼

Dude they just get it _all_ right - I completely agree with what you said about it fits your taste but I feel like it somehow just encapsulates the tastes of everyone that likes this genre so well. They take all the good parts and introduce new takes on them and execute them flawlessly

I feel like there's a "before" you hear this song and an "after" you hear this song I'll never listen to metalcore the same way again haha
I watched this video just to see if you guys would have the same reaction as I did to the outro section and I wasn't disappointed lol. It is layered so perfectly and the vocals fit so well. It's like the entire song builds toward that nasty ass outro and it's everything a song should be.

The chorus 2.0 is amazing, especially leading it into the ending of the song. The song was written in the studio while recording their upcoming full length, and they also did the video while they were down in LA. Formula-wise, it’s so Architects-esque, and like you said, it’s not exclusive to Architects, just that they use it a lot.

There was a woman who came into the store (we were outfitting her husband through a company called Jack Victor - think nicer Calvin Klein - who makes these beautiful 1200$ custom suits).
She was out and it's hot and our AC is AWESOME. Best thing about summer lol
And yeah, the attention to detail was noticeable in her outfit.
The dress, the nails, the shoes, the bag, her glasses, it was genuinely captivating.
Her husband is a wonderful client but getting a custom suit means we don't actually get much out of it. Maybe a fifth of what he'll pay.
Versus off the rack stuff from the same company (and CK, Hilfiger, SJ, S Cohen, DKNY, and others).
But they are my favorite couple, and she's a big part of that.
His suits are great, I'm in fashion because I love it, but yeah.
She steals the show.
She'll even come in by herself (like this particular day) and I just make every excuse to have a conversation with her.
