@Mathew Long I love the transition from Sun Killer into Hurt You! I have a 50 minute commute so I just roll the album. Every time I get in the car I start the album
I get migraines at least twice a month. The moment I read your comment, the start and stop bouncing beat makes a ton of sense to me. My migraines feel like my head is pounding in and out, just like that beat does.
Silk in the Strings, Sun Killer, and Eternal Blue are my favorites on the record; I recommend giving those a shot next, they represent the album’s strongest moments imo
the best part about halcyon for me isn't even the breakdown, it's the bridge. the combination of that riff with courtney's intertwining screams and cleans, backed up by that ambient, synth-like sound and that really cool drum beat is just ethereal. it's one of those spongebob ascending moments. burst into tears when I heard it live
@@orzy.2017 Incorrect. Sam went high, Courtney went low. She states she has the lowest screams she's ever managed on this song in her break down of the tracks.
I'm glad you actually went over the lyrics. Because they're soooooo fucking abstract and god-tier. And i'm with Wyatt.... I dunno how Lindevil thought the song was boring..... The production is so good. and the composition is insane.
The chorus is absolutely fantastic, between the vocals harmonizing, the rhythms and chord progressions, the ambient aura of the keyboards. Just brilliant.
Absolutely. It's other wordly like the background ambiance mixed with the instrumentals. It's chaotic but also such a beautiful blend with Courtney's voice bridging like heaven and hell
This song had big Bring Me The Horizon vibes imo, but I've also found that since they've developed that electronic, almoat rave metal sound, its been trending
Rave metal, interesting name for a sub genre. I like the idea. And i get it with the electronic elements coming into a lot of newer bands and even bands that have been around for a while.
@@senditkevin There is a few DJs in the Hardcore/uptempo scene who mixes metal with hardcore very well. Altough its for hardcore fans obv because the metal part is often used as build up
I’m glad you guys gave your honest opinions on the track! I personally enjoyed it a lot but I can say that for the entire album. 2nd best AOTY after Holding Absence. I hope all is well with you guys 🤘🏼🖤
THIS is the reaction I’ve been waiting for!! Actually listening to the song and looking at the lyrics and looking things up!! The sound design is incredible, but when you look into the lyrics it takes it to the next level. That can be said for the whole album. Incredible!
Dopes edit - Yo, I respect linds and her opinion. She just needs to listen to the album fully.. It does hit different when you don't listen to it during the album play, but I wasn't overly blown away from the entire album tbh. it's a good album 100, and It was more than likely my fault.. Blessed be is my favorite tune and nothing to like it was on there. I got hyped up and my expectations were through the roof for this release.
I listened to this album when it dropped as I’m a huge Spiritbox fan and a huge Architects fan. I had no idea, Sam carter was in this song until his vocals came on. I was sitting their just jammin when his verse kept going. easily, my favorite track off this album! Glad you enjoyed, linds wtf, how do you not like this track!
this is an awesome collab cuz its kinda like my childhood mindset towards rock music combined with the new face of rock. which could be a total burn out or a masterpiece. I think ill go with masterpiece
Yes I was waiting for a reaction from you guys on this amazing album!!! The album is just pure 🔥🔥, Honestly with new albums some songs have to grow on me after awhile but every track is a hit for Spirtbox's first album, I just bought my first Spiritbox shirt!!
New wage war An absolute ruler.... heaviest banger from them front to back... Start with death roll...I give one hundred bucks to see your reaction to this one and true colours By the way this one and summit is my personal favourite songs on the album
Ahhhh! You put my feelings on the song in words lol it's crazy, I was most excited to hear this when I saw the track list, but then actually hearing it after Sun Killer and Hurt You.. all I could think was "In theory, this should've worked. Why don't I like it as much as I thought I would?" Still a good song though! All of the songs from the album are solid, this one just happens to stand out the least imo
You guys should check out Asking Alexandria's new album, I'm not sure if it's because I set my expectations low to avoid disappointment but the album blew me away and it's even on repeat, definitely worth a listen.
Such a jam! Took me a minute but it’s great. Idk what happen to them reacting to Asking. That’s my favorite band and these two are my favorite reactors, so it’s a bummer. Like they react to punk stuff so idk why it wouldn’t fit in to their vibe. Wyatt’s said AA is one of his favorite bands in the past so idk what’s up.
Hey I saw u watched Starsets Manifest and if you think that’s good u should react to THE BREACH and LEAVING THIS WORLD BEHIND. They are some of Starsets greatest tracks. And from drummer to drummer, very very fun to play
Not sure if you ever listen to them but Youth Fountain has a new song called scavenger that would make for a sick cover. Also interested to see your reaction to it!
Maybe an unpopular opinion, I love spiritbox and I love architects but I don’t really jam with this song Eternal blue is probably AOTY for me, but this is gonna be my least played track off it
I liked this track but honestly I thought it was arguably the second weakest on the record. I really strongly recommend you check out more from this incredible record! Sunkiller is a particular highlight, as well as Silk in the strings.
Agreed. I was actually disappointed after initially listening to this song and although it's grown on me after several listens, I still prefer other non-single tracks on the album. Like you said, Sunkiller is one that really stands out.
I’m with you Wyatt, my vocabulary is shot when I try reading these lyrics… I’m more confused now then I’ve ever been… but the song is a good, not great IMO. I think I wanted it to be heavier but it’s good though to be on my Spotify list

This track hits different when you listen to the album in order.
Absolutely. I said this on a different video. Start the album from the beginning every time. That's what I do
💯
The transition between Hurt You and this one is GOLD
Fuck yes.
@Mathew Long I love the transition from Sun Killer into Hurt You! I have a 50 minute commute so I just roll the album. Every time I get in the car I start the album
Vocalist Courtney has stated that this song is written about the pain she feels during migraines.
that was a really elaborate way to explain a migraine! :O
God damn, i had it as a teen but it mysteriously vanished. Lucky me
I get migraines and I now have to rethink everything about this song now. Wow.
Summit fucks too
Relax
Never agreed with a comment more
Eternal Blue is the best song on the album.
@@brianbailey9080 it’s my personal favorite 100000% :)
Halcyon is one of my faves. Absolutely underrated track
Yeesss
Yeah the breakdown is out of the blue heavy
the best part about halcyon for me isn't even the breakdown, it's the bridge. the combination of that riff with courtney's intertwining screams and cleans, backed up by that ambient, synth-like sound and that really cool drum beat is just ethereal. it's one of those spongebob ascending moments. burst into tears when I heard it live
But what about Silk in the strings? 🤨
I was weirdly unimpressed the first time I listened to it but now it’s one of my favorites. Whole album is amazing.
I thought the same today
Several listening and it's better
DUDE SAME!!
same it gets better the more you listen to it
The vocal layering in the chorus is insane. I love this one more with every listen.
Can we talk about how low Courtney's screams went in the breakdown though? that was insane
@@orzy.2017 Incorrect. Sam went high, Courtney went low. She states she has the lowest screams she's ever managed on this song in her break down of the tracks.
I'm pretty sure we'll need a Wage War - Manic album review from you two. Keep up the good work, love the channel!
agree with this^

3:00... Lin starts swaying to the music like a metal loving elf...
At the same time Wyatt starts hearing colors and seeing sounds🤣
Best song on the album imo from a lyrical an instrumental aspect is Silk in the Strings! It's a must check out!
I recommend Halcyon and Sun Killer from Eternal Blue!
And The Summit 💙
@@pedropessoa2246 I'm glad people are giving Summit love!!!!

The second part of the chorus when he goes lower carries so much weight in the emotion.
That little curveball there in the chorus really makes it for me, Sam’s tone is perfect

I love when Wyatt puts in the squeaky voice lmao cracks me up everytime
You guys NEED to react to Summit on it... This whole record slaps.
Anyone else think Wyatt would like some of Sleep Token’s stuff?
There new album is so good this album and sleep tokens are my favourite's so far this year
@C Dinwiddie I was thinking High Water. Idk you never know where to start with Sleep Token lol.
@@falitty2871 so true
This is my favorite on the album
Damn that chorus
Must do sun killer, eternal blue song, all of them lol
To me this song feels like architects ft. Courtney. What isn't even a bad thing.
This is literally my favorite album that’s been released this year, and there’s been a lot of good albums released this year….
LOVE THE VIDS MAN...LOVE UR THUMBNAILS AS WELL ALWAYS STAND OUT IN FEED

When Sam came in, I came too. That chorus hit me like a fucking freight train. This song was amazing
Love the deep dive into the lyrics, hope this is the case with the rest of your reviews.
Yo, curious what product you use in your hair? It looks really good.
yeah I need reactions for the whole album.
This very sneakily became my #1 song of 2022.

This whole album is pretty incredible. Keep at it!
I really enjoyed the record too. That being said, I think "See What's On The Inside" by Asking Alexandria released today is better.

Wyatt watching.
You can see the moment the song hits Wyatt 😂😂
Silk In The Strings - Spiritbox! Please! 🔥
WHAT !?! What kinda socks you wear'in? I'm not even wear'in socks !!! LOL you 2 are hilarious >;-) Rock 'n' Roll \m/
“WTF kinda socks are you wearing?!” 😂
I do love this track but Sun Killer and Summit are my def favs
Do you think the name of the track come from the French revolutionnary mouvement "The Yellow jackets" ?
I'm surprised Wyatt didn't have more of a reaction to those drum fills
Please check out “Nights of Malice - Void Bearer” 🙏🏼
Of mice & men mosaic
Ha! Deep Blue...Parkway Drive on the brain!
I would love to see your reaction at Hypnosis by Sleep Token. That breakdown hits hard
Agree with Lindsey, the chorus subverts the aggression and energy of the beginning. Takes the momentum out of the song

What happened to the background beats bro?
Chorus and breakdowns slap but I could deal without Courtney being inside a computer for most of the song. Her screams were dope though!
