I agree with Lindsey, I really like a lot of the background sounds and effects they included in this album, especially in this song. It adds to the uniquely ominous and ambient sound to the album that I really enjoy
The Grey is a must.
I appreciate the breakdown of lyrics and what the song means. I know it's not the main point of a song, but it adds to it and a lot of reactors ignore or gloss over it.
The rest of the songs are a little less heavy, so I can see why someone might not be into the album as a whole, but they're still vibey and grow on you in my experience.

The most impressive part of this album is not only him opening up his voice and exploring his higher tones, but the fact they PRODUCED this whole album themselves!

What I love about this song is they tie in their older music like Said & Done, Careful What You Wish For, Running In Circles, Never Know, and Enough, Enough Now. They're so good and Noah's voice is extremely phenomenal and by far my favorite band today
When water gets into cracks in the road and turns into ice it expands which cracks more of the pavement and loosens it up. Then when the snowplows roll through they grab the loose pavement, throw it to the side, and make potholes. So you were both right, I'm from Michigan so we gotta deal with that shit too lmao

I was listening to this album while I was replaying Horizon Zero Dawn, and it was particularly this song that played while I was in the ruins of an old city. It felt a little too coincidental

I’m fascinated by the connection between this song’s lyrics and its structure. Before the breakdown, the lyrics are hopeful or at least aware that there should be more we could do to find a different/better life. By the breakdown, the music gets heavier and so does the message. “I’m a fucking king” is where he goes “Oh well, if I’m here I might as well run the show.” Idk, just a cool element of the song, whether it was intentional or not.
Miracle is an amazing song by Bad Omens too. Hope you two check that one out!

the lyrics to this song reminded me of social media and the fake life that it portrays, influencers seem like they live this perfect life but the reality of it is probably far from it, people put on this persona online but dont show their true self, thats the message i got anyways

well actually the weather does cause the roads to be bad. the freezing of the ground causes the road to raise in section and crack the road and then plows come by and plow it off. so plow / freezing are at fault. salt also deteriorates the road
