I studied in Sikh school in India but I have experienced it in my entire school life. Same with University in Punjab. We talk about Khalistan but there are so many problems within our own community. I have never experienced such things from other communities as much as I have seen it in our Sikh community.

I don’t know about Hindu community, but in Sikh it is too common and prevalent in every nation they live. Not everyone is bad in any community, but Jatts look down upon Khatri Sikhs (bhape) more than S/C or S/T. All the castes play a role in demeaning the other castes but since Jatts are majority, they feel entitled to everything.

The whole reason clashes happened between Hindus and Muslims during partition was because Upper caste Hindus were too affluent and they literally owned 80% of wealth of all major town like Lahore and Multan. Go check 1931 census before blabbering in comment section. Khatris-Aroras were way too educated and wealthy. Second to them were Bania and Brahmins but way below them. Middle castes like Jatts and Rajputs were literally around 2% literacy rate. Jatts are only upper caste in their pinds infront of Gujjar, Saini, Yadavs and other obcs. In front of real upper urban caste, you guys are nothing. What we do now, you guys do it after 50 years. Forget about Muslims. They were trash back then, they are trash now

I lived in UK most of my life and I got to say UK is best as people tend to be more educated there especially south Asians. But Canada is full of it. Car number plates using their surname to show off. Why not use Singh or Kaur? why ashamed of using it? Main reason is migration from uneducated back grounds.
