I've been on ACTEMRA for over 4 years via infusion. It's amazing. (Consult your doctor prior to taking) This stuff is so good at suppressing swelling; I can workout the same muscles groups everyday at the gym and never experience soreness or pain. I had severe RA in 27 joints. I couldn't walk in the mornings very well. In 2-3 weeks after starting this drug, my joint pain decreased by ~80%. One issue I noticed is that this drug makes healing skin significantly longer. There is a blood test available that can measure one's IL6 protein levels. This was initially what caused me to consider taking an IL6 blocker type drug. The Vectra DA Test is from Crescendo Bioscience.
You can they have other functions as well other than anti-inflammatory. Have you checked whether your IL-4 has gone berserk. Your antiviral response goes down as well.
@@lokkaf3526 I'm not sure how I would measure IL-4 protein levels? I haven taken VectraDA for IL-6 levels, but I do not know of a test result that has ever shown me IL-4. Can you recommend?
@@Natenezz12 What I meant was, when you block IL-6 receptor. You basically interfere with TH1 response and it leaves you vulnerable because IL-6 (healthy level) helps in adaptive response involving LPS bacteria and viruses. Ask you doctor will suppressing IL-6 dominate the TH2 response in my body and do let me know.
@@lokkaf3526 I will ask at my next Drs appt. But my IL6 are at normal levels. Its when the IL6 levels are high and systemic I have an issue with my joints - all of them.
Great video!! I just discovered that Alpha-Lipoic Acid can reduce inflammation markers such as such as C-reactive protein, interlekin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha. Worth checking into!
