    The best use case scenario I can see is for ppl who need to combine public transport with a long walk - which is where the H1 comes in. A 20-30 min walk would work well. The fact you can fold/unfold it in 30 sec and carry it like a backpack is pretty unique.

    I've ordered one of these and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
    I think you may have missed what I'm hoping is one good use for these. I'm 79 years old and have quite bad knee arthritis. I don't want speed, or to go anywhere demanding. I want to be able to go out with my friends who are going for a walk, or even just to walk from my car to a cafe. Maybe even to get around a mall. These are all things that are beyond me at present and I'm hoping that this device will improve my mobility and allow me to do some of the things that are currently too hard or too painful for me. For example, I took my car in for service today and needed to leave it for the afternoon while it was worked on. The workshop is probably about a kilometre from where I live and back when my knees were better I would walk home and back to pick up the car when it was ready. I can't do that anymore and while they gave me a loaner car to get home I would have preferred the walk, or the ride.
    So for me I'm looking for a mobility device! And I don't want or need a full on 3 or 4 wheeler disablility ride on! Nor can you put one of those in the boot (trunk) of the car so it's there when I need it.
    Most of the reviews that I've seen done on these are by people comparing them to e-bikes or e-scooters. I have a foldable e-bike that I use regularly - but it's heavy (30kg's) and while it fits in the car it's not something you'd ever leave in there full time. Hopefully the Himo H1 will do this. And it might only do 18kmh but that's a lot faster than walking so none of my friends will be able to keep up with me! Hopefully I'm going to be able to re-join my wife and friends for outings, including most places that require the ability to walk more than 10 or 20 metres! Have a think about the places you go and how most of them require the ablilty to be able to walk at least 100 metres or so. If you can't do that it is quite limiting. Hopefully the Himo H1 will broaden my horizons considerably!
    Cheers!

  • @bfarm44

    The absolute foldability of this makes it perfect for the RV and we are going to get four to cruise the campgrounds after a tire change to something a little better on dirt or maybe they will work fine

    • @JesseDriftwood
      @JesseDriftwood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely struggles when you try and take it off road, and I'm really not sure you could do much in terms of swapping the tire since those exact tires are part of what allows it to fold in on itself. But let me know if you figure something out!

  • @YourMajesty143
    @YourMajesty143 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Milo is what you need. It's a folding electric trike. Yes, you heard me. A trike. But that's good bc the front 2 wheels offer awesome stabilization & will bend low with every turn. You don't have to worry about theft bc you just lug it with you the same way you roll luggage. It can come with you on a train, in a coffee shop, in your trunk, etc. The only thing is the top speed & range is pretty weak, as is the voltage. But for a commuter bike, it's not bad. A guy tested it off-terrain and up a hill, and it didn't do too bad. I'm waiting to see if the next iteration has any improvements, but the current model is still a great option & worth testing if you're curious.

    Does it offer to show the speedometer/range in MPH as well as KPH?

I've never been a skateboarder or snowboarder, and I was wondering how intuitive and easy to pick up you think it would be. I live in Toronto, and I was wondering what you knew about the road (or sidewalk?) rules about the Onewheel in Ontario. And how do they do in the winter with cold temperatures and snow? Thanks for being a filmmaking and general inspiration and Canadian icon.

    After watching this review, my first thoughts are I hope this gets backed and they sell a lot of them because I think Version 2 & 3 will be substantial better. Lots of greats ideas in this, I just don’t think it’s executed to its best yet.

      Yeah I completely agree. What’s strange though is that better hub motors exist, and xiami (who I think technically makes this) has several scooters with better specs. So I’m not sure why they didn’t use that here.

    I bought this tiny vehicle as a "last mile" electronically propelled mobility device for use with my Miata! I need the mobility assistance but the Miata is so small, it is difficult to find the perfect mobility device. The price is right too!

      Isn't the Miata your last mile transporter? Pretty sure they can fit under a desk. LOL!

    I have an electric unicycle and I really love it, but I think my next PEV will be an electric bike, a folding one.
