Edit: something happened recently dont know what didnt do anything to my setup but now its not uncommon to see my download speeds be 200+ mb a second
Also now depending on the time of day and if it's an update that everyone is downloading sometimes I only get 20 mb a second it really is rare though and its because of heavy traffic over on Microsofts servers.
Edit 2023: updated my internet provider plan speeds i now get a solid 800mbps to 1000mbps steady

I’ve always had a little above 100 download speed on my Xbox but when downloading updates and stuff like that it’s be at about 7 mbps. Now that I used the DNS in #7 I’m getting around 80-90 mbps. Thank you so much!!

This could just be me i don’t really know anything about this topic but if you go to storage devices, then go to whichever storage you use that has the most space available overall and press on it, then go to uninstall things, and then uninstall any games you don’t play or won’t be playing for a while. Don’t flame me bc I didn’t really watch the vid I just wanted to help but clearing up space on my storages helped a lot.

Man i was updating cod and my download speed went from 60-80mbps all the way down to less than 1 and i tried the dns thing and now its staying at around 70! Thx alot that really helped

First of all this is a year old comment😅. But yeah when I made this comment I was living off my moms internet and that totally fixed it

It's you isp. They throttle high traffic sites and servers, which means all gaming servers. And they don't have to tell you. It's fucked up that we pay for high speed internet, but they throttle it to 20 mbps

Thanks a lot for your Vid, Jacob R. Unfortunately none of these tips seem to work for me (apart from using an ethernet cable, which I haven't tried as there's no socket/port close enough to my Xbox). No matter what I do, I'm stuck with a download speed below 1 mbps. The only thing that gets me a constant download speed of about 50 mbps is disconnecting my wifi-connection in the Xbox settings and re-entering my wifi-connection password. Shouldn’t be too much of a deal, but I need to do that each time I start my Xbox, which is super-annoying. Weird, isn’t it? Have you got any idea what’s wrong with my console? Might it have something to to with the latest update?

Last tip worked for me. It's not 100 to 300 Mps amazing but around 30 to 50 Mps most considering that i would drop to Kbps constantly I'll take the win.

First DNS setting definitely helps
Another thing to check if you’re still having trouble with a wired connection is the Ethernet cable you’re using, make sure it’s a CAT6, it’s the only way you’ll get all your Mbps.
For the record that second DNS you suggested sent my download speeds through the roof. Straight to max.
