Love is an intangible notion. If someone has childhood trauma love means very little because the very people who were supposed to love us caused massive amounts of suffering. An intelligent and charming man once told me that he valued me. For some reason that resonated better than being loved.

You can't expect love or truth from someone that can't even do that for themselves.
The way people treat you and see the world is a direct reflection of how they view and treat themselves.

Eye opening and extremely hard to hear. In relation to a parental narcissist, this is evident, especially when you dont follow the plan or you go against their wishes. It turns fairly quickly to sulking, silent treatmnets, stompimg round, and katty remarks. Love is the last thing you feel from them.

Correct. They are incapable. it's hard to look back over an entire lifetime and realize, through no fault of your own (normal kid, did well in school and sports, no drugs or criminal activity, etc) there was never ONE act of love by the narcissistic parent.
This video sounds harsh, but it is absolutely correct.

    The Narcissist CANNOT L❤️VE.
    * No Emotional Empathy = No Love.
    * Love involves patience, respect,
    support, compassion, honesty,
    sharing time, interests, resources,
    the ability to listen etc.,
    🔺 Narcissists Emulate These
Qualities To Get To The Prime Aims.
    * Most songs, lyrics, poems etc.,
    reflect narcissistic ideals. 🎶🌷📖
    🖤 Thank You HG Tudor.

I bet you could sell out some large tour venues just by reading song lyrics in that tone of voice, HG. Such a delight!

HG, your video underscores the critical reality that a narcissist cannot truly love in the way most people define or experience love. This is why it’s imperative for a victim to escape such a dynamic-false love wreaks havoc on an individual in ways that are deeply damaging, both emotionally and psychologically.
When someone is caught in the illusion of love with a narcissist, they invest their heart, trust, and identity into something that doesn’t truly exist. This creates a profound sense of betrayal and loss, leaving them questioning their own worth and reality. The longer they remain entangled, the more their sense of self erodes, making recovery even more difficult.
Educating oneself about these dynamics and finding the strength to leave is not just an act of survival-it’s an act of reclaiming one’s authenticity and freedom. False love imprisons, but real self-awareness and healing offer liberation.
Thank you for shedding light on this reality. It’s a harsh truth, but one that needs to be understood so people can make empowered decisions for their well-being.

This was very hard to hear, knowing that my matrinarc, my brother, my uncle and my husband are not able to love. This answered a couple of questions as to their behaviors as narcs. Thank goodness my father was not a narcissist. He was the voice of reason. He and I were close.

Interesting that the 'voice' identifies as having narcissistic personality disorder. The truth about grandiose gestures was present. I had several extremely narcissistic spouses. Your red flag warnings are understood. To me a relationship begins quietly. Time well spent. Alot of communication, not the showy gifts. That said some people write poetry. Just make sure you are on the same page. Thanks for an interesting presentation. Well done! Thought provoking.

The man admitted low self esteem. He didn't hate himself. He constantly found fault sith me, was exhaustive in his chronic arguments over ridiculous things. He was never satisfied nor happy. They are disconnected, with no empathy. Covert narcissism is the very worst. Never assume anything. If you were watching this you are trying to understand... We are completely different than a narcissistic personality. We process everything differently. If you cant have healthy discussions there is no relationship! I was always denied discussions. I was treated like an object. I was denied my voice. I was just a convenience. My personal needs did not matter. I was constantly in his zone of criticism. He kept me separated from others. He denied every comfort. Yet seemingly provided. He chose everything, and my opinion or preferences never mattered. He was extremely demeaning in everything. Constant chronic negation was my daily norm. The children learned hos negativity. The walls of my home seemed to drip with my unexpressed sorrow. I didnt matter. I had to remain in this lifestyle for years. Definitely be CAUTIOUS and never let yourself lose the ability to self protect. The narcissist forms alliances against you. They will manipulate in a group to get satisfaction...can be quite obnoxious. You cannot manage them. Avoidance is the only solution. Be strong in your awareness and individuate. Dont be needy.

I suppose asking the narcissist to not hurt us is too much.
... Haddaway had a hunch of the whole narcissistic "love," I guess... and Shelley was a narc too, sigh

HG 2 questions which I doubt you'll reply to but I'll ask anyway.
1/ Do you do the " heavy breathing thing" deliberately as a form of control when doing your videos? It reminds me of someone looking down their nose at "narcissistic victim" feeling Superior!
2/ Is your "Matrinarc" the main cause of your own behaviour/npd and cynical view of Love due to not receiving it from her from the moment you came into this world?

    Another fantastic video.
HG - May I challenge you for your next video to research why narcissist's do not have emotional empathy? I have read things such as it is believed to be partly genetic and partly environmental.I have also heard from a neuroscientist that some think it is related to vitamin D deficiency in a mother when carrying the narcissist in the womb. Vitamin D is responsible for crucial brain development. Do you have any personal theory's as to why some do not have empathy? Thanks again, great video.
