    Having the mentality of it being our duty to help our men is what leaves many of us victimized, vulnerable, and unprotected. It is the men’s duty to protect us, even from themselves if necessary.

    Heal our men by raising healthy and safe boys. Heal the future generations. You are in no way obligated to go back and get someone that abused you. Heal and release the anger and pain that was caused and release him from your spirit, mind and body. Not all women are called to do the work that they’re speaking of. Ladies, don’t take this as your calling if it isn’t yours. Don’t misinterpret their message and stay with your abuser or return to your abuser. Stay safe, stay alive. If you still love that man, ask God to heal him, that’s not your job. Get out and stay out.

    Go back to help him. HELL NO!!!! I AM BLESSED TO BE ALIVE. I came out the restroom in his elderly mother's bathroom taking care of her. Walk past him and he damn near killed me. I will never go back. I don't need to have any conversations with him. I gave 13 years to that. I don't give 2 fcks on why. Save yourself, heal yourself protect yourself Love and forgive yourself. Hold your head up never be ashamed you are ALIVE. God is real!!!!!!

      First and foremost I am so glad that you made it out! Secondly, i am so sorry that you had to experience that. Lastly, thank you for this valuable advice. It is not the responsibility of the victim/ survivor to save or help absolve their perpetrator of their guilt. That is such terrible and dangerous advice that they gave. I hope anyone currently experiencing it has survived domestic violence comes across your comment.

    These ladies should have been invited on the show shortly after Tory Lanez was found guilty. That was a very public example of a woman finding herself in a deadly situation with a man she was intimate with and being publicly mocked and shunned by some of her peers as a result of naming her abuser. If it could happen to someone as famous as Meg in public what chance does the average woman have of being taken seriously?

    • @BlackMenAreDope
      @BlackMenAreDope 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Domestic violence in many cases is simply a relinquishment of power by the woman to a man. And in some cases vice versa. Women yield to men for support purposes. Whether it be financially, sex induced, drug induced, or emotional support. And in many of those cases, the men they choose are obviously trash. Do some men hide their character behind nice suits, good jobs, and psychopathic behavior…sure. But these cases are way more basic than you think. Most times it’s simply low class women dealing with low class men and the women for whatever reason disregard the character of the man. If he sells drugs, works only two days a week, sags his pants, cheats on you, has 4 and 5 kids, doesn’t have a bank account, deals only in cash, comes home late, smokes weed all the time, doesn’t keep a clean home, doesn’t have a home, has a toxic relationship with his mama, don’t know his daddy, clothes cost more than the amount he pays in child support, still goes to the club, ain’t been to church in years, never saw him pray, plays video games multiple hours each day, etc…….he might hit you. Why…..because his life is unstable. Therefore he is unstable and anything can happen when a table’s legs are wobbly. Duuuuuuhhh!!!

  • @BlackMenAreDope
    @BlackMenAreDope 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    In addressing Envy's question regarding Domestic Violence (DV) cases being deprioritized, one contributing factor is that some victims may not consistently engage with the legal process. While they might initially contact the police out of fear and anger, they may not always follow through by attending court proceedings. It's essential to recognize that in many instances, these cases involve Black women who find themselves in precarious situations, engaging with individuals for various reasons, such as financial support, substance abuse, or, at times, naivety.
    When these individuals exhibit violent behavior, consistent with their prior actions, these women suddenly find themselves in distressing circumstances. With the prevalence of DV cases, it can be challenging for the courts to allocate the necessary attention to those who may not prioritize their own well-being. State attorneys' offices and prosecutors are often burdened with heavy caseloads, making it difficult to address this issue on a more empathetic and human level.
