The Real NeNe Leakes Behind Real Housewives of Atlanta Star | Video Podcast

  • Listen to my conversation with the real NeNe Leakes. Neither one of us have ever been known to shy away from calling it as we see it. So you can imagine the truths being dropped.
    We go back to NeNe’s childhood and explore her life as she found fame. There was a drastic change for NeNe as she felt the pressure to be glam, rich and compete with the other women.
    Then we go into detailing the infamous #rhoa closet scene to discuss the ups and downs of what’s REAL, who was wrong and what can still be made right.

      The only way we would be getting a truth is if both sides of the argument were involved in this conversation. Let's keep it real, there is a bit of a disgruntled worker bias going on right now, that's not really proportionately representative of the now over 150 housewives (not including additional bravo talent) - most of whom are no longer even associated with the network, and would be able to talk without repercussion. Second, the income these women generated in a couple short years is equivalent to SEVERAL LIFETIMES of working class income - the bulk of the population who face far more problematic working conditions and experience a far lower quality of life/health as a result. The real reason these women like Nene stuck around for so long is because this gig is better than literally any other in today's job market comparatively. Come on people - this is not where worker reform needs prioritization right now!

      @gayleholmes9081 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Absolutely, but she was also responsible for the ratings slipping too. Her last season had fans completely tiring of her antics and her diva mentality. There wasn't one cast member that year, that she didn't attack, disrespect and treat badly. Making Atlanta housewives number one for so many years, could have been her legacy, but instead, NeNe has become the poster child for what NOT TO DO, when you're on top of the world and you let your ego get the best of you!!

    Every time Bethenny does a housewives interview, I end up shocked by how much I come away with such admiration, respect, empathy and grace for women who eventually became some of my least favorite HWs in the franchise. Bethenny has a way of allowing them to reveal the true side of themselves that we could not enjoy during their housewife tenure. I now realize that much of their toxic behaviors were induced by the toxic environment Bravo created. I actually feel ashamed for judging both Jill and Nene as harshly as I eventually did. I swear, Bethenny is the HW whisperer. I just pray that she never gets an epiphany to interview Erica Gerardi, Lisa Rinna, Kelly Bensimon , or Teresa Guidice because I'm fully invested in always disliking them, lol.

She also forgets to mention that she came for Kandi in Season 2 and tried to get Cynthia fired from the show. Nene can't look at herself objectively. Nene is obviously been Blacklisted due to her attempts to recieve equal pay and equal treatment. Tale as old as time. Bethenney who has also been my favorite housewife kudos to her for being a true ally. Black women need more Bethenneys in this world. B you did the damn thing. Absolutely phenomenal. I agree with Bethaney YES they exploited both she and NENE’s childhood traumas by purposely placing them in toxic and triggering environments/situations setting up their crews and cameras to catch the fallout and make MUST SEE TV! NOTE TO NENE: while you still have drawing power, get your own podcast and eventually your own TV show - YOU HAVE A BUILT-IN AUDIENCE (remember how many tuned in to see you on Carlos’ podcast), and at the end of the day, its a RATINGS GAME and you will get the ratings and some network will be enticed to give you another shot! Nene seems to be in denial and very guarded during this interview. She still wants to work for bravo but she went about it the wrong way. Bethany tried to get her to face some hard truths and she wasnt trying to hear it. For instance, when bethany says that she " left and burned the house down" nene went back and forth with bethany as if she didn't burn that bridge and said that bravo basically black balled her. Bethany tried to explained that no corporation will want to touch her because they view her as litigious. Then nene said that her or any white girl wouldn't face the backlash she did. Like bethany said, she didn't file a complaint in court so she won't suffer those same consequences as nene AND bethany generates her own income, she not looking to be hired by anyone. Those are huge differences. Vicky may have spoken to an attorney behind the scene but nene was on front street with Benjamin Crump, a civil rights activist/attorney bashing bravo. Had she just closed her computer and took the six episode offer (or not) she would still have gotten many opportunities. Once you file a complaint opportunities will dry up and no one will want to mess with you in any capacity, doesnt matter if you are black or white. Bethany stop giving her high hopes talking about, "maybe bravo will call you and talk to you". They are not calling her. When this first started nene hired a civil rights activist attorney and went against bravo on her youtube channel. The bravo door is closed with a double bolt lock. Shes a great personality and business savy and could generate her own money just like bethany. She doesnt need bravo at this point.

    The fact that she discussed Kim in this interview and not one negative thing was said, shows just how un real these shows are. She didn't show an ounce of hate towards the women that she has been seen "fighting" with. Love her or hate her, she is entertaining, and that is undeniable. Anything she is in would be amazing! I wish the best for her.

    Nene made Bravo what it is today. The Housewives honestly became way more interesting when she came on. She is naturally good on camera and I think she would be dynamic with her own platform. I hope she gets on TH-cam and creates her own show. You don’t need these Networks. They’re all outdated anyway. Be well Nene ❤

    I want to see Nene win! She is talented. I believe she did bring along the other cast members, not only for a show bit for the women around her to grow. She created an avenue for Sheree who was in a dependent and abusive relationship and Kim who was in a similar position. I really appreciated when she attempted to counsel Porscha. I agree with everyone. She deserves her own show.

    The first show I was introduced to was Atlanta and Nene was a standout to me. It’s clear a lot of the criticism she received was by a lot of tone policing, backwards, narrow-minded individuals that had it in there minds that Nene(a strong, confident, vivacious and personable) character was someone to fear. No one dared to check their biases because all Nene really wanted to do was shine.

      Yes they could pay for the production (filming), but shows require backing, distribution, sponsorship etc; you really can't do it alone. Also, Bethenny isn't being entirely honest, and talk is cheap ... from the look on NeNe's face when she brought it up, something tells me that Bethenny has yet to make any official offer/pitch to NeNe or her people. The truth is NeNe is now a liability, and a lot of people would be afraid to work with her for fear that she would sue them too.

    Y’all I can’t with this interview. Anyone who ACTUALLY watched RHOA over the years and watched over and over and over… nene is full of it. Y’all know that nene is a VERY jealous person and a bully. That season where they tried therapy with her, she was IMPOSSIBLE. Maybe her husband was sick, but you can’t be a menace and not expect to get kicked. ALSO, Nene stayed on Kim’s ass. That physical finger pointing on the bus and calling Kim a racist, that was so out of pocket. That was sweeties battle to fight. Nene is irrelevant when the housewives were over for her. Honestly who’s going to hire Nene when she’s known to be so combative. And to do what? Host? Host what? She went crazy on the show bragging about her “Donald trump checks” and was a huge jerk about her opportunities. I bet people saw that too. Girl you’re just not as relevant anymore. She got the broadway shows and other stuff because of RHOA, the guy on Glee was a fan of RHOA. So now what? You’ve got to work outside of being handed an appearance by fans who happen to have hiring ability. I’ve always loved Nene a A LOT. She’s very funny but she is mean as a snake. Honey has a lot of trauma that makes her that way. But honestly, go watch the old seasons back. Y’all will see this 100%. I hope she finds clarity and finds work to branch outside of meaningless guest appearances. Maybe she’ll be inspired by Bethenny who built a company unrelated to reality tv. THATS a hard worker

    I don't believe Nene. She could have done anything like TH-cam, podcast, social media show like they are not going to close every single damn door. That is impossible. Nene wants to be queen and wants queen things. If it aint top tier production, her name as the lead star, etc then it's a no from her. Until later she realized damn I got nothing and still don't want to do her own work. It's not hard to do a podcast, its not hard to do a TH-cam channel, review show, etc.

He’s long time abc news guy working behind the scenes even from day 1 he was a fan girl of glamour, richness and fame. The Housewives developed because he wanted an in into wealth and fame because he never had either! The show gained him fame money but most importantly control over wealthy women and their friend circles. He is the ultimate pimp and Debbie desperato. We seem to have a generation of citizens who are completely ignorant about democracy, government, citizenship etc. I think the school curriculum had changed and it was no longer required for a high school diploma.
