Alavilla mailla hallan vaara - that's a tough one to translate unless done very literally word by word, and it's gonna lose it's natural flow when doing so. I would say its basically an idiom but cant come up with a related one from English language. Alava = low-lying, alavilla = on low-lying maa = land (multiple other things like ground and earth but i think land is most fitting in this context), mailla =on lands halla(n) = frost (or what ever happens to land (ground) when it gets cool (water freezes) vaara = danger. also the sentence is in potential form so it begins with an unwritten ''there is'', you could input the finnish word ''on'' in there but the idioms (or other sort of older literature) often dont do that. Alavilla mailla hallan vaara = (there is) a danger of frost on low-lying lands. (roughly - *cough*)
