I love how Dark Link is rocking on the electric guitar. Such a rebel that one.
Yay boi
Screw you I do what I want -dark link just before going to buy it
And the one in the background 🤟
Ye
Who summoned me
My favorite zelda character is the one with the shirt that says “Jolly”
Lol
Mine is the hand from the toilet that now apparently has a tambourine
but what about
chessica
My fave is the green one actually
ikr
At 5:05 the link Sprite actually merges into the wall making a great transition to a link between world's. I've watched this countless times and only now noticed this detail.
good gosh thats clever also the person playing the melody in the link between worlds section is wearing the same tunic as link
I like the transition from A Link Between Worlds to Ocarina of Time Song of Storms better since it looks like Link went through the wall and smoothly transitioned into another game.
It dangerous to go alone, take a violin, a guitar, a keyboard, a flute, an ocarina, a whole band, and a dude on drums
lol
@@StelltheBear one of the red Links
It’s a clarinet but ok
lol
A pianist a chellist a guitarist a recorder a tambourine a trumpet a MIDI
"No..." -The drum guy when fredde asked him to dress up as tingle.
Also when Dark Link kicked in with that electric guitar I swear I was paralyzed. That was so cool.
Lmao
5:21 can we talk about how godlike that transition is?
Like, in the music AND the background?
Agreed!!
@@ykahveci I didn't even notice that!
3:22 This is awesome too
Linebeck's Theme to Gerudo Valley
Great great
1:55 the music and background transition are also really cool
Link goes full metal, the sky changes red which transitions into the sky for the dark world and the music transitions really well
Playing Tears of the Kingdom right now and had to come back to this iconic video 👏 Excellent job again, FreddeGredde
damn
It almost made me cry lol especially once the songs from wind waker played that was my childhood and first Zelda game
Same here, this medley plays in my mind almost everyday!
Lol I'm still not done the game
@@wace9174 that was the first Zelda game I played too... at 2 and a half yrs old 😅😭
For anyone wonder, the instrument Purple Link plays is a Taishōgoto or Nagoya Harp, a Japanese keyboard harp.
Thanks a lot man
Dark Link with the electric guitar was brilliant. Bravo, sir.
METAL
Everything about this was brilliant
Oddly fitting
When I saw Dark link I knew it was about to go down 😂😂😂👌
I love him as well
More like “cry your eyes out from nostalgia medley”

Can we take a moment to take off our nostalgia tinted glasses and appreciate this amazing medley
Spirit Tracks is criminally underrated

I think that it’s a fine Zelda game but I will admit that the soundtrack is AMAZING and I love it

Skyward Sword HD baby, let's go! I remember playing this game WAY too much as a young lad, hope is still am good at it.

1:58 That headbanging Link is the most amazingly adorable thing I’ve ever seen
I don't get why more people aren't talking about it...
Headbanging Link for the win!
i regret to inform you, you have not seen many cute things
I've lost count how many times I've listened to this video.
Rekogi 2 for me
Yooo, same!
Me too!, this is the best zelda medley ever! :)
Rekogi first time for me
I come back at least once a month.
Somehow he did this without spoiling any of the stories from any game
Gosh this is freaking awesome:
- the music talent
- the drums are incredible, doesn't seem like it but some themes are crazy difficult
- the order of the songs
- the outfits
- the production
Amazing.
Can we just talk about how this man managed to authenticate the sound of a harp (technically a lyre) using a guitar and a piano real quick?
It really is impressive. Harps have a very distinct sound and are kinda hard to synthesize.
@@darkrighteous64 he is playing a Nagoya Harp
Also known as a taishogoto.
he’s using a taishogoto AND a keyboard
but yeah the taishogoto does sound like a guitar
Very hard thing to do but sounds AWESOME
35 Years of History in 7 minutes. This video is a master piece like the franchise that was made for.
Everything just slows down for Fi's theme. Beautiful.
The first 30 seconds of how everything was mashed up together is a testament both to your skill and how iconic and interconnected Zelda music is. Wonderful job!
Dude, those edited transitions from some of the games to another!
Wasn't needed, but very much appreciated
Thanks! :D I had some extra time on my hand while waiting for the drum tracks, hehe.
FreddeGredde ur amazing dude
Especially ballad of the goddesses to LOZ theme!
I think the "Thieves Hideout - Song of Storms" transition was the best. So smooth!
I know! So smooth
Never clicked on a video as fast as i did for this one. Great job as usual, keep up the good work :)
The fact that there's a drummer now truly gives the medley a more-like sphere that there are extra beats to it. Really like the medley.
Same here!!
Followed by a like before vid even gets started haha
Just gonna say it, the palace theme from Zelda 2 low key slaps and is one of the best in the series
True number 2 for me. Number 1 is tal tal heights
I agree
@@nicothehero1430 so true
Man Aryll’s theme gave me such goosebumps! It was the first Zelda game I ever beat and it’s music is so nostalgic!
Same but also that transition to Zelda’s lullaby was amazing too!!

FreddeGredde: “Yes.”
I don't even know what Purple Link is playing!

Never heard that one before -.-
You can only answer yes if you know all instruments and we can clearly see he cant drum
This guy is really talented, he played all of the instruments (except drums) and I can tell it must have taken a long time for it to put together.
I was laughing and smiling and grinning so much while tears came to my eyes, this was amazing, thank you for this nostalgia bomb
We patiently await his return.
Man, seeing this video today was like a second Christmas for me, thank you so much for creating this!

Same
It feels like the old days
I can’t relate but if I was born in that time period then it would be accurate
Love your music
I think these songs are a beautifully elaborate excuse for him to wear lots of cosplay.
Mebbe
I'm okay with that.
More cosplay please!
a lot of the costumes are cleverly green screened on the same shirt or hat so he probably doesn’t have a dozen costumes lying around 😅
Fickle Pickle that’s actually really smart 😂
Fickle Pickle I like your explanation my man👍🏻
I am the same age as TLoZ so much so that my birthday is practically its release date so when I say grew up with it is more a part of my life. I can't believe I am 35 years old, and that the franchise is as well. It will be a crazy experience when I say 50. Thus with the franchise being such a big part of life this just made me cry thinking back on everything.
The blend of Dragon Roost Island and Riding from BoTW at 4:30 gives me chills every time
After Mario and Pokémon, I wait this one for month... And I'm not disapointed !
AMAZING! Your are trully great my friend.

plot twist he has 10 twins
listening to you play aryll's theme was so nostalgic, your wind waker unplugged video is still such an iconic cover and i'm sure this will be too
This melody just proves that the legend of zelda has like no bad songs
I'd like to draw your attention to the phantom hourglass dungeon theme. Like, it's not a terrible piece of music. But it's very repetitive, and in literally every dungeon. Not quite up to the standard of other tracks in the series.
@@animationguy1000 we try to forget at least 50 percent of phantom hourglass, and that falls within that 50 percent margin.
seriously though where the heck is champion mipha's theme
The songs in this video are picked out of hundrets, it doesnt prove anything
Im sure you'll find lots of bleh themes
That said goddamn this medely is awesome
@@danzackblack5829 "has LIKE no bad songs" i didnt say all of zeldas songs are good
5:05 Did you see that when nes Link touches the wall, he turns into a painting and then there is a transition to the Link from a Link between world?
I love this kind of Easter egg, it shows how much effort was put into the video, as much as the music!
Wowie
And the transition from albw to oot
That part just came up for me. Thanks!
And link doing the rock on expression the first time dark link showed up
And at 4:31 the piano riff and then it transitions into the riding theme with the same riff repeated a bunch.
Going back to this video 24h before what we've all been waiting for. It's been a long wait.
No better time to put this masterpiece on repeat for the next month than now.
I feel like this could be improved by a lot if the drummer had a Ganondorf cosplay

Been a fan for over a decade man. Actual goosebumps during this gotta say. A real success
Let’s take a moment to appreciate this man’s talent. Being able to play that many instruments is a big feat, but to be able to play them all that well is incredible. A very, very impressive piece of music.
i mean, if you know one instrument and you have a basic knowledge of music theory its fairly easy. i can play about 20 different instruments but i do agree he is very talented.
Must agree with that. I only learned the drum set but now i can play guitar, marimba, piano and nearly all percussions.
What do you mean, those are his brothers?
and doing them in a buncha costumes
@@superwill_4782 playing many instruments isnt that hard, sure. but to play them all WELL is another matter
Your medlies are awesome!
My theories as to why:
You don't linger on just one game
You don't linger on just a few songs, bouncing from one to another.
Orchestral variety.
Cosplay??
Visuals telling you the song instead of demanding you know every song to recognize it.
You mix the most iconic stuff with some of the lesser known stuff, giving a great representation of the respective series.
Well said 😆
Also transictions
This deserves so much appreciation! The amount of effort with the costumes, the many instruments the compiling it all together, the editing! It’s so incredible 💕
Honestly, i dont know how many times i have listen to this medley. And every time i get multiple chills. ❤
This is a sweet medley. Usually people do Zelda medleys and it'll be like 90% Ocarina of Time music.
Edit: It's not that I don't like Ocarina of Time music, its just that I feel it is commonly overrepresented in Zelda medleys.
True
True history
Nothing wrong with that though.
That's because Ocarina of Time has the best music >
@ Lol, no.
I’ve probably listened to this over 80 times, it’s so good

Over 30 times for me
Same. I have been here since some days after the release and I'm still here to this day.

I can just listen to this over and over again
Especially Outset Island is so adorable
I laughed.
I cried.
I swooned.
I sighed.
All in happiness, every time.
And truly fell, in love once more,
With a magical series, and its epic score.
Thank you so very much, my friend.

Oh God. I imidiettly fell in love with this medley. I mean It's just perfect. Transitions are so satisfying. You've captured the essence of every song perfectly. I must admit that I was on the verge of tears at least five times during this video. It was not only an otherwordly musical experience, it was a journey.

Fourteen years ago I saw your video with Windwaker's theme. It was a big deal for me and still is. Thank you for your amazing work, you're stunning, love you
That's great, i love how you did the songs connect to each other. It's fantastic, i'll show this video if anyone ask me why i like The Legend of Zelda. I need to learn and play some of these songs, i remembered my old dream of having a real Ocarina and playing some songs on it! Great job there!
The ending made me tear up... I’m not kidding, it’s that good. FreddeGredde you mad lad, you’ve done it again!
Yes thx for including Spirit tracks usually it's overlooked
I know rigth? It gives me the most nostalgia of all, mostly because it was my first LOZ game :D
Phantom hourglass too!
Superp222 Yeah, Phantom Hourglass was the first Zelda game I ever played and hearing it in this was a pleasant surprise
Although it wasn’t my first Zelda game it still is one of my favourite Zelda games, glad it gets recognition.

It's incredible how your game medleys are so good and the song order so easy to remember for me
the one thing i'll give spirit tracks credit for is a banger overworld theme
Personally I feel like both Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass deserve a little more credit then they get but I can see where the frustration with these games stems from and I gotta admit, nostalgia probably plays a big part in my opinion.
@@salkii62 i think that those games were a great adaptation to the ds
I must say ( this may be nostalgia talking ) Spirit tracks was a really good game with excellent boss fights. Tho to be honest there weren’t many side quests after the main story
garrN I totally agree. I’m with you on the nostalgia, but those are some of my all time favorite games
And the only thing I give phantom hourglass credit for is linebecks theme, that sheit slaps. The rest of the game was garbage
yo, can we just acknowledge how challenging it is to play just one instrument? This dude is playing like a gazillion and rocking it. such a blessing, thanks Fredde!
And the transition between songs, it's genius.
Absolutely insane and it's also absolutely insane that these iconic songs were (partially) composed in 8-bit "just" for a game. I wonder if any of the devs or composers ever thought that these would last for generations. They just wanted to musically introduce areas in the game, yet here we are humming the song of storms or the gerudo valley theme over 20 years later, crazy.
He’s playing six, dumbarse
once you learn one instrument, the next are easier (i would assume) and also you already understand things like reading music
It's an incredible mix, keeping the essence of the songs and enhancing them.
