Recently I flew Spirit on their brand new redesigned seats, which are being marketed as an improvement over these seats. Here's a link to the video on those seats: th-cam.com/video/5n81JRkFoLc/w-d-xo.html
remember ur more then likely to die in a car crash then a airplane and spirit is one of the few airports that doesn't have many deaths .just be safe anywhere u go or anything u do
I have flown Spirit about 5-6 times. Boston to Florida, Vegas, BWI, Here are a few comments 1. Make sure the savings is worth the lack of services. All of the routes that I have flown them, also are serviced by other airlines. However many times the savings ARE worth it. Flown to Vegas for just $100. And Fort Myers for around $150 Round trip. 2. Because of how tight their schedules are, and the # of planes they have, weather can completely screw them up. Two times I had my flights canceled on my return from Florida. The first time, I had to wait a day to get back. The second I found a Jet Blue flight and threw away the Spirit return. So in winter if you can't waste a day, you might want to consider alternatives. 3. If all goes right, they are fine. The planes are new, but seats are tight. One thing I noticed is that on the longer flights the seats are better than those shown in this video. I think the longer flights they are using an Airbus plane. (You can find out the plane before booking.) 4. If at all possible, fly with just a back pack. Its free. Once you walk on the plane, no one has ever hassled me when I put it in the overhead bin. 5. Bring an Ipad. And if you have a netflix or a Amazon video down load stuff first. That will make the time go by. Also Kindle books are fine. 6. A nice thing to do, and will make the trip more pleasant is offer your seat mate to buy them a drink. The $3.00 will make the flight much more pleasant. Remember, you are flying on a budget airline. Your flying to get you somewhere, not to have a good time on the plane. When you land, you have saved lots of money to make your visit more fun.
So true. Spirit isn't always the cheapest. However, I like Spirit so much, and they have a lot of service out of DFW, I will fly them even if it's a little more.
Jon Newman Exactly, the planes are not supposed to be ‘’fun’’ they just need to get you where your going. A car is not fun so why should a plane be. I mean its cool to look out the window and stuff but it’s not considered “fun”
There is a fucking reason they are rated 2 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor and 1 star out of 5 on Expedia . They’re literal fucking garbage . My flight just got cancelled and rescheduled in 30 fucking hours . I wanted to fly out to the Dominican Republic for a 7 day vacation and 2 of those days are now lost because of spirit airlines . I can’t get a refund and I just payed the resort $600+ for 2 days all for nothing since I will not be able to enjoy those 2 days . Instead , I’m stuck going back home and coming back the next day . I lost 80$ coming to the airport , another 80$ coming back home and another 80$ coming back the next day to the airport ,not mentioning the $600+ on the resort . $900 lost ... thank you spirit airlines ... you’ll be getting another 1 star review from me to make you one of the worst rated airlines in America . My flight number is 521 to florida and from Florida to Dominican in flight number 738 . If I could give spirit airlines 0 stars I would
I’m a flight attendant with Spirit and I’m so happy for this review! :) Spirit gets a really bad rep but we really aren’t bad! I’m glad you enjoyed your service
I’ve seen many reviews and all of them were, horrible seats, non soft landings, so much turbulence, and much more that are much worse, sorry it’s just spirit airlines is 100% trash 🗑
bossmandm78 I Know Right My Older Sister Had A Great 👍 Experience When She Was Coming From Las Vegas To DFW Also Me And My Family Also Enjoyed It When My Whole Family Went From DFW To San Salvador,El Salvador
@@phinzo7885 we are having a weight distribution issue on the aircraft today so if we have any volunteers please move to the back of the plane thank you
In some ways I would rather fly Spirit in a "Big Front Seat" than fly like Delta in a regular coach seat, even if the price is slightly more on Spirit. Yes I don't get a bag of pretzels or half a can of soda on Spirit but who cares, I'd rather have the bigger seat. I can always bring snacks with me. I can't bring a bigger seat with me. And Spirit doesn't try to hide the fact that everything costs extra. Having said all that I would never fly Spirit in a regular seat. I'd always pay the extra for the BFS.
With Southwest sometimes undercutting Spirit or being very close in price, there's really no reason to fly Spirit in my opinion. At least Southwest has comfortable legroom
I recently needed to fly from Atlanta to New York. Southwest was undercutting everyone - including Spirit - by a lot. I think Spirit was around $180, whereas Southwest was only $120 and then the bags were free on top of that. The other airlines were even more. Absolutely no reason to fly Spirit there!
Let's also compare it on this route... That being San Diego to Las Vegas Looking at February 10th, Spirit is $51 and Southwest can be had for $59. I think the choice is very obvious, especially when you are going to be carrying any form of baggage. You're way ahead with that extra $8!
aaaah Spirit. Their slogan should be "Spirit! The Greyhound of the sky!" Wait no thats offensive to Greyhound Bus Lines. How bout "Spirit! We're faster than walking! Sometimes"
@Sccratlanta ?? To get to the Legacies, you have to go to the regional carriers first! The one nice thing about the ULCC (Allegiant, Frontier, Spirit), when I buy a ticket on them I know what airline I'm flying! Do you know what airline you fly when you buy a ticket in UA, AA, DL?? You could be flying mainline, or one of many independent regional airlines.
@nightstalker You are a bit of douche.....I'm a Spirit Captain. 7.5 years at the regionals after 9-11. 3 years at Emirates flying the 777. Need to come home bc Mom and Dad got sick, Dad died. The most important thing for me was not commuting to work. My hometown has 3 major airlines that have a domicile here. Spirit called first. Remember the best airline to work for is the one that hires you. And I actually love working at NK. My QoL is awesome. Have fun fighting fatigue the rest of your career. Coming on here and knocking down a proud Mom goes to show your true character. I mean really? Are you that desperate to be validated and have your ego stroked? Also you'll be the first one out of a job when pilotless a/c arrive.
spirit just started operations in Columbus a year ago and I love it. I have flown them twice from my home 614 since operations began. CMH to FLL for a cruise and most recently 2 weeks ago to see my grandpa in Fort Myers who has cancer so CMH to RSW. Besides that I run track for college and we fly spirit to our meets in LA, (dtw to LAX/ CLE to LAX)Texas, (DTW to AUS) Florida (CLE to MIA)... I never had a problem with service or any bougie complaining as I am a minimalist and practical person who does not waste money on materialistic things or illogical expensive things such as flights. Both flights from Cbus were under $90 round trip were actually ahead of schedule and comfortable. That being said, Columbus is quickly becoming one of Spirit's raising star airports. People need to stop acting shock about LCCs. Yes I have heard the stories about other airports and the passenger complaints about LCCs such as spirit, but if you do your reading you shouldn't be surprised. They Charge for extras not a shock, be smart and play their game, learn to pack light and you will be fine: buy food at the airport (yes its is more expensive, but you get more than paying for a $5 muffin on spirit). you can actually bring an empty gallon jug through security fill it up with water before boarding. Play their game and don't be dumb, they try to save operating costs and so can you. The planes in fact for LCCs are newer fleets with better safety regulations and standards than bigger carriers, LCCs usually have the same fleet on lease to save costs with maintenance and staff. The seats are fine I am 6'1 Athlete an above average guy and i sit pretty comfortably for 3 hour flights on spirit. stop complaining learn how to play their game and enjoy life, I would rather save money any chance i can rather than paying a $500 round trip ticket for 1.5 inches more of leg room and a bag of peanuts. I will admit being able to have a carry on and a personal item is a luxury for me but you can fit a lot into a book bag sized personal item (hotels have washing machines and dryers). People fly LCCs to get somewhere cheap to get away and escape talk to new people on the plane play a game on your phone, LCCs have changed the dynamics of the travel industry for the better. WOW Airlines are connecting the US and Europe for round trip tickets averaging $600 or less, and it stops in a country people once never heard of or wished to go to before they die (Iceland) and the connecting flight is a bonus to the itinerary. And props for LCCs for having direct routes instead of layovers and multiple stops. People stop being dramatic and bougie all the time, dont waste money on more expensive things and dont let consumerism ruin your life. Spirit is fine despite the complaints.
$227 for a 2 way ticket to Dominican Republic... that's a gift... It typically costs $500 on other airlines. I don't care about comfortable seats. I just put my headphones, listen good music, close my eyes and in 4 hours I'm done. :)
My family and I flew Spirit from Charlotte to Orlando and back. (Disney Vacation) It was 2 really good flights. Airbus A320 both ways and they looked new both ways. We did have a 30 min delay departing Charlotte because our plane was delayed in Baltimore, but we actually made up a lot of that time. Read their policies. For a 1.5 hour flight, they were fine. The flight crews were very, very nice and smiled the whole time. Counter people at check-in were great. No problems for us.
If you need any kind of special assistance, Spirit is probably not for you. If you can travel light, print your own boarding pass, and arrive at the airport in a timely manner, they can be a great deal.
I use Spirit a lot between Fort Lauderdale and Newark & Atlantic City. I had used Alaska Airlines from Los Angeles to Las Vegas which was pretty cool. I paid $165 for a one-way first class seat back in June 2018. I took Spirit from Las Vegas to Fort Lauderdale via Dallas (30-minute layover) which I try to avoid on flights regardless but it was cheaper so I took it. The flight was full and sat in a regular seat. It was a little uncomfortable but it was worth it. I usually sit in the Big Front seats but for some reason, their website was showing available but it was not granting my request (Technical issue). Overall that flight was pretty good. I had no issues with any of my eastern seaboard flights. I took an Amtrak back to Orlando where I originated to pick up my car. The fare was only $40 from Fort Lauderdale and a 4-hour train ride which was nice. Something different and very relaxing. They did have a dining car to boot. Seats were much better than the first class seat on the 757 Delta flight that I took from Orlando to Los Angeles. I bought the first class Delta based on the cheap price at the time. It was a nonstop flight. So, depending upon the day one flies will depend upon the cost as well. Price wise overall. It was affordable and no issues. Delta, Alaska, Spirit, and Amtrak.
Plenty of new planes throughout the history of aviation have had tragic accidents due to engineering oversights. Doesn’t mean they are automatically dangerous forever, they get recalled like cars do for the same reason. You just see more press on an airplane crash than the 600 car accidents due to a faulty “xxx” part.
Nice man! Great review. I’ve found Spirit isn’t a bad carrier to fly for. I fly Frontier a ton and they are similar service. I love Frontier and like Spirit.
I enjoy your video very much! Believe it or not I'm 64 yrs old it was the 1st time in my life I got to fly on a plane, It was a good experience for being my 1st time..I have no complaints flying spirit and will do it soon again, I would recommend it as well..I felt like I had been on a plane before thank God.
We fly Spirit from CLE to Myrtle Beach (90 min flight). Normally fly 2 to 3 round trips a year. Flight and cabin crews always seem very pleasant in fact a few times during the safety review the flight attendant was quite humorous. As I tell my friends if you accept Sprit for what it is “ A nice bus with wings” you’ll get by just fine. Spirit has been a great time saver for us, instead of driving 11 hours to Charleston SC, we now do a 90 minute flight, rent a car in Myrtle and drive 90 minutes to Charleston. I’ll trade a 3 hour trip vs an 11 hour drive any day. Only down side is Myrtle Beach from Cleveland is a seasonal route.
We flew them to Jamaica from BWI and it was fine. On time, clean, and affordable. No problem. Now I am only 5’4” and my wife is 5,2” so we fit on all planes but if you are over 6’ you may want the exit row.
We flew home from Jamaica to BWI. We changed planes in Fort Lauderdale. No issues. If with the carry on fee. It was still cheaper than any other airline. We're flying with them again in February, going back to Jamaica. One way $88.29. Can't beat it💯
Took this on my first time ever travelling 2 the USA.. living here now. I was a bit scared when taking off and landing was relaxing. I regretted one thing. That pain in my ear I left when the plane was about to descend
Lol I fly Spirit from BWI to LAS next week; 5 Hour flight but was the cheapest option! Luckily I also bought the emergency row seat and I don’t require much space but still, wish me luck
So far I have had no bad experience with Spirit. I go ahead and pay the extra $50+ for the bigger front seat. I did that on a flight from Panama City, Panama to Fort Lauderdale and it was worth it. Aside from more elbow and leg room, I got on and off the plane first. I got another flight going from Chicago to Panama again on Spirit. Again I springed the extra money for the front seats. Hopefully it will go as smooth and seamless as before.
Well I just recently flew to San Diego for the annual NCFR conference. My group flew back on Spirit Airlines. The flight was originally at 1:29pm, it got delayed to 2:29 pm. However we did not take off until 3:30 due to plane malfunctions, the engine would not turn on and neither would the air conditioning system. The flight was not smooth at all, and neither was the landing. Also before take off, I am pretty sure one of the wheels was flat because it was making the squeaky flat wheel sound! However, the only good thing about my flight was that the attendants made it good. So after my paragraph, I will NEVER be flying with Spirit Airlines again. I would rather take Southwest, American, JetBlue...more reputable and safer airlines.
I flew IAG to MCO a few years ago on Spirit. I really liked it! If you do your homework on if, you can save TONS of money! People complain about how you don’t get anything, but it really isn’t “free” on legacy carriers. It just means higher tickets. I would totally fly them again!
Im taking my 1st ever flight (NERVOUS AF) to vegas this week from newark, nj. Supposed to be an almost 6 hr flight nonstop & according to the website, my free personal item cant exceed 18×14×4 or i'll be charged. Luckily, the bag i bought is just under that measurement so i should be good to go.
Awesome video, I flew on Spirit Airlines from Cleveland to Fort Myers a few times but it was an uncomfortable flight because there was little legroom at my seat, little tray tables, and no IFE.
I just flew Spirit MCO-SJU-MCO with the Airbus 321 also, the same in the video. No complaints other than the slimline seat, very uncomfortable for an almost 3 hours flight. Pros: on time departures, new aircraft, very clean inside. Cons: slimline seats.
Your videos are unique. You type your comments in on the video. I like it. It's different. I noticed you were flying to Las Vegas on Spirit. It reminds me of one of my coworkers. I live and work in Milwaukee so the two airlines that offer direct fight service to Las Vegas is Southwest or Frontier. He chose Frontier because it was much cheaper and I told him you're probably going to regret it because it's ranked down with Spirit Airlines. He sure did. His fight was booked at the wrong time and when they tried switching out his tickets, he might have missed his flight. I told him you're better off flying with Southwest even if you have to pay an extra hundred or two so you can avoid the headaches. It's sad how many airline carriers have declined over the years. At least with Southwest you get more spacing between seats and the two free checked bags which you can't beat. Spirit, if you bring a carry on bag, you have to pay for it and their pitch seating I heard is one of the worst. The only three big regrets with Southwest is as following: 1. If you have to book last minute, please don't make your business select in fare only so over priced. If I'm paying that kind of money, I'd at least like business or first class benefits. 2. Please offer assigned seats. I like to know where I'm sitting prior to flight. 3. Please offer some food and additional snack options on board. Out of all the air carriers, I really miss Midwest Airlines. They were the best, especially with their warm cookies.
Great video! Fun, lighthearted, good humor, smart tips. I travel regular airlines for business, but go Spirit for leisure travel whenever possible. Do your research, know what to expect, and you will be happy!
Frontier has the exact same seats and tray tables, I flew on their A321 to and from Florida from Cleveland twice. Never Flew Spirit. Advice: fly Southwest- comfortable seats, decent legroom, free bags, free refreshments, free live TV and entertainment on your own device. Wifi for a nominal fee ($8)
The seats are super tight and no leg room. Pay the extra bucks for up front rows or ask for emergency exit row. Two seats in first two rows are same width as 3 seats in row 3 and back
Most people that fly spirit either drive a 1998 Camry, 2001 Chevy Cavalier, or a 2003 Honda Civic. Southwest is only slightly more expensive than spirit but, you get free overhead bins, free checked bags, complimentary beverages, and comfortable E leather seats. E-Leather is a bonded metarial leather but, it's way more durable than Ashley's Furniture durablend bonded leather material.
Its Its only a Cayenne hahaha those are considered chick cars and just a vw engine. You had me somewhat excited since I own a 2010 911Carrera s and I was thinking he was going to have a real Porsche but no you got my hopes up for nothing
I've flown with Spirit from LAX to DC a few times, not comfortable at all, so I agree with you, they are great for short haul flights but nothing more unless you have a back made of steel.
Guess I’m in luxury with Delta. Built In Screen for games and movies even with a flight tracker so you can see where you are in the air, free wi-fi, even a place to charge your phone. AND REALLY GOOD THINGS TO EAT FOR EVERYBODY NOT JUST FIRST CLASS :)! But that take off sounded pretty smooth
I flew spirit from Newark to Fort Lauderdale all the time. I’m a 380 lbs 5,11 tall man and tbh, I never really had a problem. However, my uncle recently allowed me to be his travel companion for the airline he works for which I’d say is 10 times better haha. I wouldn’t fly any farther than Newark to Florida tbh. It’s great for a short flight especially since it’s cheap. Grab a book bag and have a great weekend somewhere.
Khamari Brett: LOL. Listen up, I heard and read 'bout Spirit's dismal rep before I flew with them last year. However, a couple of friends and I who would always take an annual leisure trip together, ended up experiencing the airline's legendary service. Usually, I would always book our travel arrangements and I would get reimbursed afterwards. Well, last year I decided to volunteer someone else to make the arrangements since folk would always come up a day late and a dollar short with paying me back. Well that was the first mistake because the friend who ended up booking the arrangements booked our flight on you know who which turned out to be the trip from Hell. I tried to back out, but I got accused of being "bougie," so to keep the peace I went anyway. I will thank Spirit; nevertheless, because the experience forced me to re-evaluate and end friendships, and now I happily travel solo. I understand the company's business model as an LLC. But it needs to re-assess its service delivery and soft product sell because it seriously lags. Its "Skytrax" 2 stars rating is well-deserved.
Love your work. Best flight video I've seen. I just did one on a frontier flight of 4.5 hours. Wasn't that bad till my ass went numb. Always bring a pillow. And for what I saved over the other carriers I paid for my hotel room
i actually like spirit. i paid 300 bucks for a 3 person round trip to nyc with a carry on. the cheapest other airline was $600. it was a nice flight, but im tiny so i was fine with the small seats and legroom. i also was really entertained when i looked out the window and saw "howdy" staring back at me. wouldn't recommend for any flights over maybe 5 hours though.
I'm only doing a one way spirit trip to Orlando for $74 then taking a plane back on another airline. You get what you pay for essentially. :) I can survive 2 hours on a spirit plane I think it'll be okay.
I've taken Spirit a total of 15 times including five round trips to Guayaquil Ecuador and never had a problem , never had to pay anything extra and apart from the lack of chargers for my phone and tablet ill rate them a B ....also the cheapest fares along with Norwegian airlines my two favorite airlines by far.
I've never flown Spirit but I've done LAS-SAN via Southwest and it's a fun hop. LAS is a fun airport to fly in/out of and have a layover.....Coming into SAN is an awesome experience
Steven W I flew once on Southwest from Newark to Orlando. Of course Spirit has the cheapest flights on that route by quite a bit. Anyhow Southwest at least has notably better legroom and crews are pretty consistent. Biggest difference is the SWA crews love their company more than most other airlines. That’s a good indicator.
Flew Spirit in May, found them better than Ryanair (slightly). BoB is better value than RYA. I'm not that tall so the seat was great pitch. But that tray table size really bugged me!
as a big dude. i need that big front seat. and to where im traveling, its over $500 round trip. which isnt bad, (250 for each way). but first class american was 1300. so im happy with it.
I flew Spirit to Chicago and other than the small spacing on the seats I was pretty comfortable. Luckily my friends and I occupied the whole row so it was only us there
people hate spirit why? it's just cheap, you get what you pay for. i wouldn't do any kind of long haul but it's really not bad. it's like being on a bus, but in the sky.
I flew them from MIA-LAS (long flight) and several times from Pennsylvania to FLL I it was great, lovely crew, brand new planes, we made it on time...I don't get the hate! Yes it is a low fare carrier...what do you expect?? your own suite like a Emirates flight? If you pay less than 100 buck...this is what you get. I rather the cut cost on IFE or seat recline pitch than secutiry and plane maintenance---NK never had an accident. They must be doing something right.
i flew MSP to PHL last year with them and it cost for both my wife and myself including 2 checked bags $113.00 which is $56.50 per person. really cant beat that price to be honest. It wasn't a terrible experience either flights were ontime and the plane was clean. couldn't ask for more
Ludo Saenz werent there real flight attendant with some hooter employees on the flight? Or were the flight attendants just employeed through hooters and certified for that job through the FAA?
Complaining about the heat in San Diego? I live in the Houston area, supposed to be just over 100 degrees by the weekend, heat index even higher--Would think San Diego, being on the Pacific coast, would be cooler and breezier--I'm assuming you have dual citizenship? I'm guessing you live in Carlsbad and commute to SAN for flights, based on previous videos, wondering why the need for a Mexico passport for a domestic hop? Is that Porsche Cayenne yours? Porsches are not cheap cars,no matter what the model! Only downside of flying Spirit is not obtaining FF mileage unless you have an airline-branded credit card--did you stay in Sin City for any length of time?
Yes I do have dual citizenship, and commute to SAN whenever I hace a flight. I just carry my Mexican passport as an ID... its just something im used to doing. We stayed in Sin City for the weekend. And yes it was much hotter in vegas Than it was in cali
I flew on Spirit Airline from Baltimore Washington Int. (BWI) to Los Angeles Int. (LAX) and I found Spirit is just a fine airline for such a low cost ticket. You just have to do research on what is free and what has a cost to it then everything should be OK. I actually like the boarding time; it was very fast since it is a smaller plane with medium amount of passengers. Leg room is OK for me since I am not a big person. There is no charger for cell phone, USB for a laptop, movie to watch but hey what do you expect for such a cheap fare plus it's a 5 hours flight, I don't need these.
i love them love the flight attendant i fly once every 6 weeks ,pilots are the greats , ,i never have any problems with spirit Airlines , i gut round trip 98 Dollar houston /oaklands ,where wood you fine that price ? no where ,now all Airlines are jealous witch Good for all of us competition works ,home someone start competition against Comcast that will make my day
welcome to spirit airline s we have bad legroom so in case of emergency you won't escape,we don't have seat belts sleep you need to buy them for $200000 or you die :) (don't take this seriously just for entertaining and spirit airlines is not that bad)
Recently I flew Spirit on their brand new redesigned seats, which are being marketed as an improvement over these seats.
Here's a link to the video on those seats:

Hey, so long as I get from point A to point B safely, that's all that matters!! 👍
You can count on Spirit to get you from point A to point B in one or two pieces
@@e39v88 lol
I would be more concerned about getting to the airport safely
remember ur more then likely to die in a car crash then a airplane and spirit is one of the few airports that doesn't have many deaths .just be safe anywhere u go or anything u do
*gets out of a Porsche, flies Spirit*
Spent all his money on the car. Didn't have enough money left over for a ticket with a decent airline :)
I mean... Just because you have the money, doesn't mean you should be stupid with it. For a flight that short, Spirit will get the job done.
Aidan Gendreau I was actually like bruuuuuuuhhhhh
who said the car was his?
Haha I’m dead😂😂🤦🏻♂️
I have flown Spirit about 5-6 times. Boston to Florida, Vegas, BWI, Here are a few comments
(You can find out the plane before booking.)
Jon Newman I need help can you text me ?
Jon thank you for this comment!!! So true!
I love how they say howdy on the inner winglet
Miles Campbell that was my view on window🙃
I flew with them to Colorado and I don’t understand why people hate them so much. Just do your damn research and you’ll understand why it’s so cheap.
Yes you don’t get things that you get on Delta or something but it’s really cheap
If I could give spirit airlines 0 stars I would
Plot Dot that’s pretty shit tbh hope everything goes well.
Agreed
I’m going in a few days to Colorado too
“Should’ve bought the soft landing fee” 😂😂
I’m a flight attendant with Spirit and I’m so happy for this review! :) Spirit gets a really bad rep but we really aren’t bad! I’m glad you enjoyed your service
Some people don't research right
I’ve seen many reviews and all of them were, horrible seats, non soft landings, so much turbulence, and much more that are much worse, sorry it’s just spirit airlines is 100% trash 🗑
Emma Mactavish hey there, I’m not a spirit fan but turbulence isn’t the airlines fault, weather and precipitation’s fault
Kelsie Cuba Iam flying with spirit tomorrow Iam going to Dallas Texas for flight attendant it looks awesome

I don't have a problem with Spirit. They were on time and got me to my destination 20 minutes earlier. Spirit isn't bad at all.

Thank you for this video. I’m afraid of flying but want to travel and this video has helped to ease some of that anxiety.
Kevin Leach
Yeah but Delta has screens in the seats with movies and games
You explained Spirit perfect, big front seats or something else
The Big Seat is worth it even if it's a little more than DL or AA!!
With Southwest sometimes undercutting Spirit or being very close in price, there's really no reason to fly Spirit in my opinion.
At least Southwest has comfortable legroom
Liam Walshe and Southwest Airlines seats do recline as well.
@@davidperry4013 not much but at least they do.
There's no doubt in my mind I would be using Southwest for this route
Southwest is a much better airline and %90 of the time when i fly there's almost never a full flight and I get a row to myself.
That being San Diego to Las Vegas
Looking at February 10th, Spirit is $51 and Southwest can be had for $59.

@Captain Matt Destroyed?? C'mon can't people just have a discussion?
@@Desertkid2000 he got served, probably find him in the local burn unit.
Spirit doesn't seem too bad, although my flight will be two hours from Atlanta to Chicago. Hope it's the same way during my flight.
Holy crap, those seat backs look incredibly cheap and flimsy. I’d feel safer in a plastic lawn chair
Lmaoooooooooo 😂
You can bring a lawn chair along with you on your next spirit flight, but it will cost you...spirit will charge you for that as well.
Here's something...pay an extra 300 bucks for your free snacks and 13 degree recline and dont fly Spirit.
I just flew spirit trust me plastic lawn chairs are more comfortable smh
I flew the same route
Wait. Spirit Airlines actually charges extra just to land smoothly?
I tried them. Plane was on time the workers were great and they have no 737 MAX 8s.
H B Spirit only flies with airbus, like the a319, a320, and a321
Plenty of new planes throughout the history of aviation have had tragic accidents due to engineering oversights. Doesn’t mean they are automatically dangerous forever, they get recalled like cars do for the same reason. You just see more press on an airplane crash than the 600 car accidents due to a faulty “xxx” part.
I'm getting on a plane for the first time, three weeks from now. This is what I'm taking. Makes me feel better 👍
Nice man! Great review. I’ve found Spirit isn’t a bad carrier to fly for. I fly Frontier a ton and they are similar service. I love Frontier and like Spirit.
You need a good spirit to fly with Spirit.
I enjoy your video very much! With how boring airplane reviews can be, you make them entertaining and funny! Keep it up man! 👍🏽
Best way to travel ! I heard they getting WiFi and new seats !!! Crew so friendly !!! It’s like southwest back in days !!!
I know im so excited!
I feel like for spirit, you either like them or you hate them
Pilot did NOT butter that bread at the end...
I love how they review it and edit it

“Honey, I saw that man get out of a Porsche, why’s he flying spirit?” “I have no clue”
Never flown it but, i don’t know why people hate it.(probably legroom
Edit* why do i keep forgetting to put the end perenthcies.
I flowing in Spirit Airlines before, it was sheep but had to get up real early.
I love ur channel! Ur vids r awesome
Great video! Fun, lighthearted, good humor, smart tips. I travel regular airlines for business, but go Spirit for leisure travel whenever possible. Do your research, know what to expect, and you will be happy!
Never had a problem, love them!
Two seats in first two rows are same width as 3 seats in row 3 and back
Le Taxi... interesting to see you flying them. Spirit is still a ULCC, but I feel they're trying and slowly improving
Where ya been? Its been a while. As usual another great trip report.
Love your Porsche😜
I wonder how many passengers on that flight drove to the airport in a Porsche.
James Clendon Probaly Him😂😂
Most people that fly spirit either drive a 1998 Camry, 2001 Chevy Cavalier, or a 2003 Honda Civic.

Spirit airlines used to have the most perfect paint jobs for their aircraft, until someone started peeing on their planes.
😆😆😆😆 The yellow livery ha ha
I was on Spirit from San Diego to Baltimore! R.I.P on the trip back to San Diego my flight got canceled
I'd rather have a root canal without novocaine, or endure an IRS audit than fly with Spirit.
I'd rather drive from New Jersey to Vegas than fly there on Spirit. I learned my lesson after a short hop to Boston recently.
Well then you didn't learn that lesson on Spirit as they don't fly that route.
They don't fly LGA-BOS either... I think you're making this up to try and drive home a point that has no factual basis.
mvbo31 damn!
Great video! If you don’t mind me asking, how do you get to board the plane first to get those great cabin shots? Thanks!
Ive got a 4 hour flight from detroit to vegas tommoro! Never took spirit before so we shall see how this goes!
EquestrianMarie please share your experience. I’m thinking about taking Spirit to get to NY
I agree with your opinion on Spirit, I flew them once from CLE-BOS and it wasn't terrible but the legroom was really really bad
as a big dude. i need that big front seat. and to where im traveling, its over $500 round trip. which isnt bad, (250 for each way). but first class american was 1300. so im happy with it.
Love your videos !!! Man awsoke quality!

When the pilot said 105 degrees F in Las Vegas, it is 107 degrees F in Phoenix, Arizona which is where I am currently at right now.
Thanks for showing me the inside of the plane because I haven't flown on a Spirit Airplane.
i flew MSP to PHL last year with them and it cost for both my wife and myself including 2 checked bags $113.00 which is $56.50 per person. really cant beat that price to be honest. It wasn't a terrible experience either flights were ontime and the plane was clean. couldn't ask for more

Por que no gusta Spirit? (No habla Espanol !) :) Por que Jetblue?
Looks like a decent airline if your flight is
18:06 Why did you need to close the window shades once landed? In Europe you always have to keep it open on the ground.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Awesome video. You said that Spirit airlines seat have a 28 inch seat pitch. Does Frontier Airlines have the same?
3:03 , it can also be the school bus of the sky
i love them love the flight attendant i fly once every 6 weeks ,pilots are the greats , ,i never have any problems with spirit Airlines , i gut round trip 98 Dollar houston /oaklands ,where wood you fine that price ? no where ,now all Airlines are jealous witch Good for all of us competition works ,home someone start competition against Comcast that will make my day
I was on a spirt flight from Fort Lauderdale to laugaurdia
It was hell
Jaedan Spirit doesn’t fly to Miami or JFK
welcome to spirit airline s we have bad legroom so in case of emergency you won't escape,we don't have seat belts sleep you need to buy them for $200000 or you die :) (don't take this seriously just for entertaining and spirit airlines is not that bad)
Turkish Airlines Fan no it’s bad.
but it takes you from point A to B so
