The craziest easter egg hunt I've ever heard of was the Cipher Hunt. It started with a small one-second clip of a statue in the final episode of the show Gravity Falls. Then the shows creator revealed that the statue is real and hidden somewhere on Earth. What followed was a massive series of challanging clues hidden on all kinds of places, from the California Institute of Arts, to Russia and Japan. It was designed so that only the world wide fan-community of Gravity Falls could find all clues and that large groups must work together to solve them. It took weeks but in the end the statue was found. I couldn't participate personally but I followed it through livestreams and Twitter. It was one hell of an experience! XD

The whole easter egg is resolved anyways. There is no such thing as a jetpack or an alien egg. The locations in the small boxes are for the locations of the four hidden UFOs in the game, the alien being the UFO above the alien camp in Senora Desert, Jetpack being the UFO above the military base, the small alien being the one you see on top of mt Chilliad. Oh, those lightning rays? The weather conditions needed to see the 100% UFO on there. That's all there is to it, but people just... refuse to accept it.
Unless the riddle isn't solved yet. "Sat" doesn't have to mean saturday and "Aug" doesn't have to mean August. Under the Eiffel tower doesnt have to mean the actual Eiffel tower. It could mean a smaller replica somewhere else. I also find it odd how deliberately they wrote "1st" instead of first but wrote out "One of Five" with words instead of numbers. The use of capital letters is also odd as well. Midday was the first word of the sentence, so it makes sense to be capital, but why capitalize "Five" and "Year." Why write "Midday" instead of noon or even 12:00. I also noticed a " . " immediately after "2113" yet its the only dot in the message. So is it meant to be a period to end a sentence or is it meant as a decimal. There could be another code hidden in the message that came with the keys. Perhaps it has to do with getting a set of coordinates from this message. The way its written seems too suspicious to mean that we are supposed to wait 90+ years for a specific day.

the difference with modern games is that before if you wanted to include a secret you'd have to put everything the moment the game ships. Nowadays developers can just instantly patch a game to have some easter egg like they have done in GTA V, Portal, etc. The problem with the mount chiliad one in GTAV is that Take 2 is currently making lots of money with GTA online so they don't want to disturb that for the moment.

I know this vídeo i older than a year now but I have to say that the Battlefield 1 easter egg is super difficult and has so many things you have to do and so many variables it's incredible.
It's not quite an Easter Egg so much, but the Outbreak Prime quest and discovery in Destiny's Rise of Iron was an incredible thing that blew my mind when it happened. I'm glad it was #1 and it totally deserves it. But you forgot to mention that since there were only four keys found, and it said one of five keys, that one key was missing. It turned out that by putting certain obstacles in certain places in the level creator with the start and end in specific places, you were able to see under the ground in-game or something, and there was a hidden key, that once you clicked it, gave you an achievement called something like "The Fifth Key".
What's in the box? Why, another box, of course. ....actually wouldn't be surprised if its 5 nested boxes, each needing a key. The '1 key' from the clue is just the last key to be used, so all 5 keys are needed. Then put in a DL code for Trials into the innermost box.....

I looked up Dragon Valley Easter egg servers like 3 weeks after the map came out and found a really small server open among many, in the server there were 3 people. Someone getting the skin an 2 people helping him. I waited like 10 mins for them to finish and then they started helping me. I thought I was going to be there for like 2 hours or something like that, but it only took us around 45 minutes I kid you not 45 minutes. They must have had the lanterns thing memorized or something. And the camo makes you invisible to thermal scopes except for your gun and your skin on your face.

the difference with modern games is that before if you wanted to include a secret you'd have to put everything the moment the game ships. Nowadays developers can just instantly patch a game to have some easter egg like they have done in GTA V, Portal, etc.
The problem with the mount chiliad one in GTAV is that Take 2 is currently making lots of money with GTA online so they don't want to disturb that for the moment.
I did the dragon valley Easter egg. It was very hard. The camo you get is invisible to thermal and when you have it, people accuse you of cheating allot.

That should be one of your top priorities, as you are also a content creator, and should know how annoying it would be if any of your work was reposted, and that other person was credited for it. I know this vídeo i older than a year now but I have to say that the Battlefield 1 easter egg is super difficult and has so many things you have to do and so many variables it's incredible.
It's not quite an Easter Egg so much, but the Outbreak Prime quest and discovery in Destiny's Rise of Iron was an incredible thing that blew my mind when it happened. That was an amazing thing to watch and much love still goes out to Datto, his clan, and the rest of the Destiny community for finding and solving that! :)

I love the Trials Fusion Easter Egg. Too bad I won't be around to see it end. I'm glad it was #1 and it totally deserves it.
But you forgot to mention that since there were only four keys found, and it said one of five keys, that one key was missing. It turned out that by putting certain obstacles in certain places in the level creator with the start and end in specific places, you were able to see under the ground in-game or something, and there was a hidden key, that once you clicked it, gave you an achievement called something like "The Fifth Key".

If it were buried underneath the tower as it says, they'd need permission from the french government to bury it there, seeing as it is a huge thing over there.
Would be more believable if there were some sort of bunker under the tower, or the room inside the tower itself where the meeting would take place.

I looked up Dragon Valley Easter egg servers like 3 weeks after the map came out and found a really small server open among many, in the server there were 3 people. Someone getting the skin an 2 people helping him. I waited like 10 mins for them to finish and then they started helping me. I thought I was going to be there for like 2 hours or something like that, but it only took us around 45 minutes I kid you not 45 minutes. They must have had the lanterns thing memorized or something. And the camo makes you invisible to thermal scopes except for your gun and your skin on your face.
