Went into a local Yamaha dealership yesterday, I asked the salesman if he'd seen the new CFMoto 450MT. He said, "yes, I've bought one & pick it up next week." That tells me all I need to know about this bike. Enjoy mate!

@@Free_Ranger_CT110 Mate, I don't want to upset you, but this 450cc block already has a ton of problems (SR450). Idle problems, Oil leaks, radiator failures, and overheating engine are common issues. You can get a used T7 for this price (USD 8990, Sterling 5699).
I think the Yamaha guy doesn't know what bike he's talking about. You can't compare the legendary CP2 engine with a Chinese engine block. I've already seen too many problems with the 450cc CF Moto engine. It's almost impossible to trust this engine for long distances (1000+ miles, tours).

@@GNDracing you're not upsetting me I'm not the one who's bought the bike. I'm waiting to see how they go long term. I really don't care who buys what it's none of my business, they probably think I'm crazy for riding a CT110 into the outback. Maybe I am.

Finally! A bike with a solid twin cylinder engine and reasonable light weight. This is the combination to have for adventure riding, in Australia at least and should put a shot up the other manufacturers to produce this type of bike (and hopefully even lighter).

@@untrainedprofessionals2374 100% agree. I would have had a go myself but I have already spent zillions on my T7 doing that, and intend getting my moneys worth out of it. Maybe when my T7 wears out (which might take a while).

I really hope Adam Riemann gets to test one of these, he uploaded a video a couple of months ago, and he talked about brand and bike reliability, he said that it wasn't a good idea to buy cheap bikes, that it was worth paying the extra price for brand name bikes because they deserve your money for their Research and Development, that chinese manufacturers make too nany copies and blablabla, which i think it's not fair to say because every manufacturer deserves a shot at being taken seriously, and CFMoto is by far the most serious Chinese manufacturer right now, and the 450 MT seems to be like a Teneré for the masses, here in Costa Rica a Teneré 700 is upwards of 21.000 USD, and the 450 MT is pretty much 10K USD, they're very expensive, but not as stupidly expensive as Honda and their Sahara 300 for 9.000$, which is pretty much a Honda XRE300 with 6th gear, ABS and some fairings for an unreasonably expensive price, it doesn't even have a windshield! It doesn't even make sense to get that over the CRF 300 Rally, yet, they will sell a few to those brand name enthusiasts that love their brands so much.
As an owner of a Versys x300, this 450 MT is the bike i wish the x300 was.

Well they are using Bosch ABS, KYB suspension and fuel injection is pretty well sorted in this day and age. They have done their research in they have identified a segment of the market that are sick of not being heard.
Time will be the judge of reliability.

Adam Riemann can say that because he gets his bikes for nothing, us mortals have to earn the money to buy them, I currently ride a 2022 KTM690 but I think the cfmoto450 is more suited to my riding style and here is Australia they are $9500 ride away with a 3 year warranty you can’t go wrong, I have lost that much on my 690

    • @Al.j.Vasquez
      @Al.j.Vasquez หลายเดือนก่อน

@@jackchristodoulou197 Oh wow, how did you lost that much on your 690?
I just can't see myself buying a middleweight KTM bike because they look awkward to me, the 1290 looks great with its muscular design and the bug head, but the bikes under 1 liter just look weird with thin looking torsos and a huge alien bug head pertruding at the front, and to think KTM has always had cool designs in every category.

That road from about 8:00min in is one well groomed track, nice!
All the videos I have watched with the Aussies riding, I can see everyone is sticking to the break in rev range of 4000rpm or below for first 500km and 6000rpm or below for the next 500km until first service at 1000km.
I found this in the owners manual, but I suppose that is just a guide.
I myself found I was struggling to keep it under 5500rpm just riding normal back streets in town getting my first 100km up while testing how my ergo set up felt.
Yes, I have been checking out what tyres I will get next for dirt tracks.
    Good stuff.

@@kevinarmstrong478 Rode ours for the first time today, they sound like a supercharged V8 engine - those tractor pulling V8s that run on nitrous. Without earplugs they are too noisy (for us) but with plugs it sounds just right. No idea how they replicate a V8 sound using 2 cylinders, but that's what it sound like to me when driving. Still breaking in the engine so fluctuating the revs between 3200 and 4500. They are amazing to ride - a mini-Africa Twin (we sold ours because too heavy, too big), which is exactly what we wanted. These drive and feel a LOT lighter than the Twins.
