Singapore lose 4-1 to 10-man China after controversial penalty in World Cup qualifier

- Singapore gave China a scare before going down 4-1 in their World Cup qualifying match in Tianjin. The Lions had produced a heroic comeback in the first half, but were undone by a controversial penalty after the break. Even with China down to 10 men after a red card, the home side scored two more goals to leave Singapore stuck at the bottom of Group C with just one point. Singapore's remaining two matches are against South Korea and Thailand in June.
To be honest, our Singapore team was quite rowdy and unsportsmanlike.

Unlucky to concede the softest of penalties, but damn we had a one man advantage and the coach made the suicidal tactical error bringing in zulfahmi. Had a sinking feeling when he came on and sure enough, we conceded 2 consecutive needless goals thanks to him. Seriously though it's time for players like zulfahmi, hariss, anu, nazrul and even to a certain extent faris, to be dropped out of the national squad to make way for other players to try and fill in the roles. Credit to faris in the last two games though, his goals made the difference.
What controversial penalty? It was clear-cut shirt-pulling of opponent inside own penalty box! What controversy you talking about? That's why Jacob Mahler was substituted for his stupid mistake!

That's why i don't understand why people said we played better than last coach. I don't follow the lions. I only looked at the basics. Ball skills, technique, awareness of opponents n players. Zero. All don't have. Still primary school standard. Singapore players are not tall but keeper kept pumping high ball up to lose it again. Players only know how to use back to shield the balls but doesn't know how to push n move the ball to maintain possession?
Only faris maybe was the more consistent one over the years. The rest? Don't even have basic technical skills n frankly, fandi's kids are all overrated n not anywhere near his dad.
