The best game in the history of football. It had everything. Late drama, tough play, exciting high quality involvement from every player on the pitch including the goalkeepers, two of the world's best players at the top of their game and both scoring from open play. The whole thing was an epic battle between two totally equal teams for the biggest prize in football. It would've been absolutely perfect if the result had come from a straightforward goal advantage rather than the lottery of penalties but ultimately it wouldn't've mattered which team won; it was still a magnificent match.

Argentina needed quite a bit of luck to win the final. At certain points of the match, the Arg defence seem to be non-existent. It needed a huge save from E Martin in the 121st min to carry the game to penalties.
And the Arg penalties were almost all wrong, including the one by Messi!! But luckily for Arg, Fra has a goalkeeper whose penalty skills is totally BS!!!
