A think a massive thing that needs to be done as part of sex education is making it more inclusive. To teach sex ed from a hetero-normative rhetoric is really invalidating for young queer people, sex needs to be taught in a way that is safe and accessible for everyone. Queer people can still get STIs and they need know know that just cus they ain't having p in v sex doesn't mean they are automatically safe! Also how to properly recognise STIs and what to do if you think you have one! People are often left to find this out for themselves, when in reality every one who is sexually active should be learning how to do it safelyyyy
