Just wanted to say, after looking at every review I could possibly could on this bike, yours has been the best. Your opinion is very intelligently articulated and answered pretty much every question I had. Thank you! Bonus points for being in O-town as well!

So nice to see a black saddle on this bike. The brown one breaks up the visual flow. I rode one and liked it but for the heat coming off of it. Cool little cruiser.

I enjoy your reviews; you're very succinct and provide reall information/analysis. You're actually much better at it then "professional" reviewers that try a little too hard to be witty, while at the same time trying not to offend the manufacturers and bike owners. Keep up the good work :-)

Great review, as usual. I'm not a cruiser expert either but the Harley floorboards have the same rubber mount underneath the pad so the pad moves with your foot instead of its base. Been like that for at least a few years that I know of. If you had to choose between this and the road king special which would you choose?

Very informative review as always!! You should seriously consider doing a bike show on cable tv . What riding gear are you wearing in this video. Summer is almost here in NY and I need a good jacket and pair of gloves.

Nice bike. I bought a '44 Indian Chief in 1968 for $100 from holiday income while still high school. Have always had a soft-spot for this style of motorcycle, more so the '47 Chief. This new one preserves and enhances that great line and look, though I don't like the muffler's shape or placement at all. That item would be the first (& probably the only thing) aesthetically I'd want to change. Thanks for posting. P.S. What's with all the lines in the sky you guys seem to have state-side? You know of course this is geo-engineering, supposedly to reduce radiation from the sun, that's why no more blue skies... just saying. It's actually nano-particles in aerosol form derived from inside coal-fired power-stations (CFPS). Yep, soon you'll be hearing from 'your' government that they'll be shutting down power stations 'due to' massive soil, water & airborne toxicity caused by CFPS. But of course it isn't/ wasn't, that's just another fat lie; your government paid & sprayed this poison while you were sleeping.

Had a Road King and I did exactly what you mentioned in the video, took a corner next thing I know I'm pulling up asphalt with the kick stand and down I go. No more Harley and 12 weeks in a neck brace. I've got a 2018 Chieftain Dark Horse now and there isn't a Harley made I would trade it for..

Love this bike, my only complaint about it is there's too much chrome on it, don't get why it doesn't come with all black trim from the factory. Awesome review!

  • @yogi2.057
    @yogi2.057 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Great review man. What an ultimate Indian Chief beast! Hater's be damned. This is a badazz big moto. And hey, matte black paint jobs can be clear-coated in matte clear, but that's an extra step. I've done it with no problems, which eliminates base coat scratches.

  • @servicarrider

The Dark Horse doesn't have an oil cooler standard. Some thing to think about in Florida. The oil cooler is a $320.00 option. The throttle is fly by wire. Good review.

I see there is a $2K difference between the Dark Horse & Classic. I agree with you that I like the chrome model a bit more, looks wise. Gonna be test riding as many as I can in a couple of weeks at a bike show nearby. Still gotta get down to SoCal & looks at that ES though. Great reviews! Hope you found the problem with the GoPro's, sounds maddening.

TwoWheelObsession I have a wicked idea: offer this bike or another variant of the Classic with a three-speed transmission (omitting the 1st, 3rd and 5th gears) and price it at about $15Gs.

Nice Bike...I note that cars (Cagers) do the creep-out on "Right-of-Way" MCs at intersections in Florida too. Like "I'm in a car...you should stop for me" attitude.

Great review, very thorough! I don't think rubber mounted floorboards are unusual. Harley Touring bikes have them at least. I've helped lead demo rides when the Indian demo crew comes through Greenville and the motor on these is great.
Re: Matte Paint job - There may be some variation as to how manufacturers paint a flat paint job but most flat paint jobs have a clear coat, it's just designed to be flat rather than shiny. I've got a Triumph with a flat paint job and I keep it protected with a spray wax that's designed to add no gloss to a flat paint job which makes it easy to remove dirt and debris without having to rub on the paint. Unfortunately, if you polish on a flat paint, it will polish up to an extent. At least with my Triumph the paint has been very durable.

Have you done a re view on the CTX 700 n or the Triumph rocket 3 or Rocet 3 touring .You are without a doubt the best motorcycle reviewer I have ever seen .My wife can ride the hell out of a bike but has tremendous problems with the clutch hence the interest in the CTX Automatic bike and I am interested in the Rocket 3 or the thunderbird 1700

    Bryan,
Nice review video man, as you know I'm a Harley guy but I'm not gonna lie I really want to test ride a couple of these Indians, I'm hoping to get a chance to test ride the Chieftain and the Roadmaster.
I'd like to see how they compare to the new model Harleys. I need to find an event around here this summer!

God, that is a beautiful bike!! This is the first TwoWheelObsession video I've watched, and I was waiting for "Hi, I'm Bryan Glynn with TwoWheelObsession dot com. Today we're taking a look at this Indian, in Churchill, comes in 103.5 by 46.3, with this beautiful dark and oily Maduro wrapper. Tight and visible seams. Doesn't put off a lot of smoke, which is good. So let's puncture the tires and start toasting, I'll come back and update you after the first third!"
