On July 19, 2022, a deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation in Fond Du Lac, WI. The vehicle refused to pull over and fled at a high rate of speed. During the pursuit, the deputy observed the suspect throw a white back from their vehicle. It was immediately recovered by the following deputy and was later discovered to be a significant amount of illegal drugs.
The purpose of the featured content is to show the law enforcement interaction. It is NOT to publicly shame, ridicule, or degrade the individuals involved. Today’s world is swarmed with politics and conversations that are often misleading about our law enforcement officers. We feel it is vastly significant and imperative to show these interactions in their respective environments to inform and educate the overall public.

I'll never understand why so many people that transport drugs do it in a vehicle that isn't legal, and then drive like idiots.

An out of state plate is a massive red flag, especially a california plate all the way in Wisconsin. i dont think you fully understand how much of a red flag this is to law enforcement. they WILL do a search on an out of state plate. as for why he's driving at excessive speeds, well people get comfortable after hours of driving time on a relatively empty road at night. apparently he wanted to just arrive at his destination fast, but i agree, arriving 20 mins early is just not worth it no matter what the circumstance, even if he wasnt transporting drugs. people just don't understand how little time is saved from speeding. at some point you have to slow down to deal with cars ahead, so a person needs to drive at excessive speeds and weave through traffic just to arrive 5 or 10 mins early. unless you are trying to make a flight, arrive on time for a high priority interview or appointment or having a medical emergency, then logically it makes absolutely no sense to be risky your life just so you can get home and sit on the couch 5 minutes sooner.

This guy is pretty funny with how he speaks to the cops. He seems to think if he says enough kind words, they can be like "You know what man? You're cool, you're free to leave."
You have no clue. This actually does a ton to help your case in court (which is the only things that matters). Showing a judge or jury that you are non-aggressive, calm, and make any and all necessary minimal actions to keep the process as short and simple as possible will get you the minimal sentencing and conviction. Throwing the drugs out of the car and running away from them while denying they are his is the smartest move he made. Can't place the drugs physically on him and he won't get a drug charge.
His lawyer might hug him for doing all the right things in this situation. You just have to hope he is smart enough to not do it again.

Jarvis Starks, 29, pleaded no contest Monday to three counts, including possession with intent to deliver cocaine, recklessly endangering safety and fleeing an officer. Four other counts were also dismissed. Starks was also placed on extended supervision for five years and probation for four years after that by Judge Tricia Walker, according to a court official.
