Absolutely, the onions were really good.
The zoom in on the food is a fantastic feature! Really helps to see things up close. This sandwich looked weak right from the get-go - the bun should have been well toasted. In fact if you "butter-toast" a sandwich or a burger bun on a flat-top or in a skillet, it can transform the sandwich.
This was nothing for toasting.
Takes the video to a new voyeuristic level for me! That sounded weird. I watch videos like this to get an idea of what the item looks like. Not from their ads, but what we would actually get buying the item.
I make these kind of 'burgers' all the time at home when I run out of buns. They are gross lol

I was so upset when I got this I was expecting a nice crispy bread. I did enjoy the flavours though. I'm going to try buying this again and putting it on the flat iron to see if I can save it

Burger paddies between sandwich bread is the same sadness as being poor and using sandwich bread for hotdogs.

I remember in the early 70s, we use to get Whoppers for .99 cents and they were loaded and awesome. This Whopper on bread is a sad piece of work, isn't it ? I would have smashed that disaster without even taking a bite of it ! 😀😀😀😀😀😀
They were 1.49 when I was growing up and 1.79 with cheese.
What the fuck is that thing? Nothing to do with a Whopper. A sandwich (not even toasted) with a beef patty inside 😟

I wouldn't have even tasted it, do they not know what a patty melt is? I would hate to see what they would try to do if they offered a grilled cheese. I think you need to take the hammer of doom right into the store and leave the mess for them to clean up.

Stacker sauce is not good.. replace with roadhouse sauce and we have something ill eat

At least if they used the "normal" bun it would make sense having the whopper brand. Never did like the whopper. I call it the "flopper" as it's been a messy burger the few times I've ordered it.

That pinapple looks a bit green, you should pick ones that are yellow on the skin and the leaves pick off easily.
I have had some yellow ones that were way too ripe. I'll let it sit in the heat all day and should be good later.
Yeah that's a definite fail on the sourdough (which they usually do a good job with). That's not toasted AT ALL, whereas it is in all of their advertising. Someone dropped the ball.
My BK botch it with the Sourdough King as well.
@@JFRJesse Seriously? That sucks. Whenever they bring the sourdough back, I ask my local location to substitute the sourdough for the bun on my cheeseburgers, BK Fish, Rodeo burgers, and anything else it'll fit - because they get it right every time. Sorry to hear that yours does not.
What is up with the bread? They gotta be toasted and crispy to be a melt. Hardies is about the only one I like for a melt.

That literally looks like a burger on a normal slice of bread. Burger King has fallen and broken their crown. "Humpty dumpty didn't fall, he was pushed." I don't know what happened with them.
The ad clearly has the bread toasted, fail.
Reminds me of my Mom's interpretation of hamburgers at home...the poor woman couldn't ever organize buns, so burgers were on bread...McGavin's white sandwich bread. Hey Mom, you rollin' in your parking spot?
i give it a 3/10 mine was soggy after waiting 5 minutes on my way home. Extra toasted would have saved this for sure

Jack In The Box in the states toasts their sour dough buns so nicely. Doesn't even look like BK toasts them at all.

looks good i actually wouldnt want the bread cooked or toasted i personally hate toast tbh maybe the slightest toast possible is the most id take. it should have 2 slices of cheese. one on the bottom. wish the bottom of some burgers had something i mean anything. a lil ketchup maybe? lol.

@@JFRJesse Here's a thought...Why dont you make the Harvey's burger according to the recipe and then review the creation (obviously) and if it's any good, call the dude/dudette who gave you the recipe and show your praise and then post it...However if it sucks, then pound away on the burger... obviously the pounding wont work on the recipe so I suggest "flame broiling" it with a trusty lighter!!..Like I said..just a thought.🤓

@@JFRJesse The description on the Burger King website clearly says- "Whopper Melt: Features two slices of toasted bread, layered with two Whopper Jr. Patties for ¼. lb*. of flame-grilled beef, melty American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce." Would it have been better is the sourdough had been thoroughly toasted? Take the picture from the BK website in with you and PLEASE try again. The picture shows the sourdough clearly well toasted on BOTH sides.
1:20 no shit not much toast on the bread, or at all. Their pics in the email makes it look like it was in a panini machine damn near. That's bullshit. Why call it a Whopper Melt when the ONLY thing it has in common with a Whopper is the patty? Pfft... A 6?! Really? Wow.

Those buns don't even look toasted. Did they make it right? Or has it always been like this? I know BK brought this into Canada before. These should come pre-toasted so that there's consistency every time. The Jack in the box sourdough jack looks way better than this.
They were the sourdough kings and I remember them having the same problem.

Yeah definitely looks like they never toasted that sourdough. Too bad because I love sourdough. My favourite sandwich is from White Spot and it's the clubhouse sandwich with sourdough. Turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo & chili sauce on your choice of toasted white, multigrain or sourdough.
That's gotta be $30 these days.
wow can anyone on this planet make something that looks good to eat for 8 bucks :) lol the last thing i tried was papa johns 899 med pizzas not bad but the butter sauce is gross and to get the creamy one they charge u now what a shame

@@JFRJesse even a good pizza now these days papa johns was my go-to place when i went to the falls or when i went to bc now its expensive and ya blah but u can spend 40 on a good one but is that worth it nope so just get a good pizza oven eat frozen and make your own burgers u know whats in them :) one last thing if your ever in loblaws u see meat balls from all over the world try them 10 out of 10 :)
Absolutely GARBAGE!!!!! Why can't any of these fast food joints make there food to the way its advertised. Free or not I would've brought that sandwich back. 98% of the problem is nobody cares about there job...

@@JFRJesse Choose wisely. Especially with floods BC had in Merritt and Abbotsford.. They say, pull out the drivers seatbelt as far as it will go, and if there is mold at the bottom, it's a flood car.

It was washed, but I hang it to dry to protect the logo and I forgot to grab it.
Burger King when good is pretty good IMO but unfortunately the one near my house never tastes like they make the food fresh. This one will be a pass for me

To be honest, maybe a gift card to Molly Maid would better so you don't have to clean up the smash messes either lol. Thanks for everything you do... :) - BTW the zoom in is good, even if it takes extra edit time. Learned that the last video where I saw little bits of bacon on the thick pizza. Those bacon fragments looked like something you'd sprinkle on an aquarium for the fish. No wonder you didn't taste the bacon.hehe
