Love how you said you're still learning. When you think about it, even experts are still learning. And if ever anyone says there's nothing more I could possibly be taught, then they've gotten way too sure of themselves.
I don't want to be that "uhm akchually" guy, but today is that day for me; and for that, I am sorry. The resulting image has the same issues as the original, although on a smaller scale. At 5:09 we see the direction of the light, but missing the Z component. Now if we look at the resulting cell-shading (around 7:27), the face indicates light coming from the front, the neck indicates light coming from the back, the pants indicate light coming either really far from the back or from some completely wrong angle. I mean, it got better, and there were plenty of good advises in the video, but still, I'm somewhat sad about the result...
No you're wrong actually. Remember that things block light. The top right is where the light is coming from. So the face is correct. The face is blocking some light from hitting the neck, and the pants have the table blocking some of the light.
Well, since two people mentioned it, I guess a reply is in order.. Yes, the table casts a shadow onto the leg of the character. No, the shadows for the pants/boots are still off the mark. The guy sits with his legs at a tangent - almost away even - from an edge of a round table. At most you should get some cast shadow on the hip (that touches the edge of the table) and the thigh or the leg - everything from the knee and below is inaccurate. Why is it inaccurate - because the shadows - which I claim to be the core shadow of the legs, not cast shadow - are on the right side of the leg, implying the light source coming from the left. This clearly does not match lighting of the rest of the body parts, where the light comes from the right.
i really suck at drawing clothing folds. xD I guess it's just practice in my case. ^^; funnily enough - ribbons, and the other frills is fine with me, but as soon i come to actual clothes my brain deactivates itself like solving a math equation.
Goddamn I'm taking this knowledge with me, only thing is that the guy have have been looking for a more open body language but who cares he can make it now
To anyone reading this, please repent and believe the gospel! There is a loving God who wants to save you. And because He loves us, He (Jesus) died on the cross and resurrected 3 days later so we can be forgiven of our sins and be saved. Please think about the state of your soul, don't let this chance pass you by. Believe in Jesus and follow Him so you may have salvation. Life is short, please make the right choice today before its too late. Jesus loves you.
What in the indoctrination… get out, this is an art tutorial video, go complain in a church or something 😭😭😭 forcing people into your religion is a sin
To your first point: "What in the indoctrination" I'm not indoctrinating anyone. I'm sharing the gospel which we are commanded to do in the Bible. I'm sharing a message and inviting others to join. You frame it as if I'm forcing you. Its your choice, I've given you the Good news and now its up to you to choose to believe in Christ or to turn from Him. To your second point: "this is an art tutorial video" I know that, I'm an artist and I'm here to learn, but I'm above all a Christian and a comment section is a great place for dozens if not hundreds of people to see the gospel message which can save their souls. You third point: "go complain in a church or something" Where in my message was I complaining? I'm spreading the gospel message, a message meant for unbelievers, that through believing in Jesus Christ they can be saved. So why would I preach that message in a church full of people who already believe in Jesus? If I found a cure for cancer I wouldn't take it to the healthy but to those who need it. And the world needs Jesus. Your forth: "forcing people into your religion is a sin" At which point did I force you to join the faith? I'm spreading the gospel message and describing Jesus' love for you so that you understand that He wants to save you and build a relationship with you. Jesus commands us to share the gospel to all creation, so how is that a sin? Yes it would be sin if I hurt you or forced you, but all I have done is spread the Good news, that Christ our savior loves us so much that in our sin He died for us, resurrected 3 days later and ascended to heaven to make a path for us to be brought back to Him. And all we have to do is believe in Him, then follow Him. That sounds like an act of pure love to me, that such a great and righteous God, would love His creation that turned against Him so much that He would come and die for us. When it would be as easy as a thought to wipe us all out for our sins. Jesus commands us to love everyone. So I want you to be saved, please don't make all these assumptions without at all trying to understand Christ or know Him. Please heed the gospel message and give your life to Christ. Jesus loves you. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
@@xdmomentum8346 you do understand that by sticking your goddamn gospel everywhere you go, even in places completely unrelated to religion, you automatically piss people off, thus driving them further away from your "Christianity?" And yes, using every opportunity you have to speak about your "god" is indoctrination and it is forceful. Go talk about him when people actually want to listen to you. Life is not meant to be spent on worrying about your afterlife and if there’s any imaginary person watching your every action. Live it freely and have no regrets, don’t focus on stupid stuff that takes time away from your precious moments that are fleeting. By all means, believe in whatever you want, but stop being annoying and sticking it everywhere. That’s not how "converting" people works, no one here wants to be converted.

Isn’t the table blocking part of the legs though? So that part is accurate
