I have been following you for a year and enjoy your videos. When you hit five balls and compared between the Opti Shot vs the Garmin there is one issue with the experiment. You hit all 10 balls perfect . The Opti Shot calculates the launch angle based on you selecting the club where the Garmin calculates true golf launch angle. If you duff on the Opti Shot but the club head speed is good and will calculate the distance as a good shot. If you duff on the Garmin it will show a true miss hit. I had the Opti Shot and upgraded to the Garmin for this reason.
Same here! Which is pretty ironic for me because I was born in Rochester, NY and by all accounts SHOULD be a Bills fan, but hell no! :D Parents and I have some pretty epic text battles twice a season as you can well imagine. Keep up the good content on the channel. Like what i'm seeing so far especially being an R10, simplified (so far) garage sim guy using a spornia net and such. Very similar to your setup and experiences so going to be good to follow you guys along and see how things develop for you going forward. @@dub-golf
We have an arrangement my wife & I. The main floor and first floor are hers. She can do whatever she wants with them. The basement and garage are 100% mine though.
Great question. We had a blast using the Opti for years before the R10 was released and the newer launch models came out. With that said, we definitely like the Garmin R10 better. More realistic, more options of play, and easy setup with really reliable numbers!!
Thanks for the videos! Have you ever tried Almost Golf balls, 30% balls or Sci-Core golf balls with the Garmin R10? I realize the yardage might be off but only really care about shot shape for a couple of beginners I want to set this up for. Don't want them using real balls inside. Thanks for any input!
Big difference is the optishot is not measuring any ball data…no spin…nothing. You can actually use the optishot with no ball at all. The Garmin is going to give far more realistic data; especially when using the radar marked balls.

Set up couches and beds in the garage. Cannot leave until Ace. I believe in you guys getting it quick.

Thanks @stevem5323
You are definitely correct w that statement! A shank w the Opti and you can still get away w it (by just the club speed!)
I personally feel that the Garmin creates a more realistic experience for golfers like myself.
oh shit Dub...didn't realize you were a Fins fan too!
Yes sir! Growing up in Northeast Ohio … we didn’t have the Browns for 5 years, during my childhood. Was a big Fins and Marino fan!

That dude's wife must be chill if she let him park her car outside! Nice video!
Cold cold night 🥶 outside.

So which one do you like better??

What type of laptop are you using?
Laptop is olddddddd. Don’t know exact model. But it is running Windows software.
How was the deviation(left and right yardage)?

We have not tried those balls. Yeah, we have definitely sent a golf ball into the drywall!
Can you hit real balls with the optishot?
Yes sir. The good ol’ Opti read foam and real balls… well actually reads the club face.

I believe all 495 subs would agree with me.
which is actually a more credible measurement????
Garmin R10 - by far
Hole in one challenge please.
Would love to. We have to include you though! ⛳️
That would be awesome!
Not sure the R10 gives you spin data
Correct - r10 ‘calculates’ spin, does not measure spin.
I may have misspoke.
