One thing I've always loved about this album is how the themes and the tones rarely match. This song for instance, is rather upbeat, kinda sweet sounding, and the chorus sounds positive. In reality it's a song about children being tortured and killed by other children before being fed into a machine that will shred their corpses. Chondra just confirmed this album is getting a comic book release and I for one could not be more excited.
Man I haven’t heard this song in a long time, I remember when it came out I was like 15 I’m 28 now. I’ve been listening to coheed since I was 11 or 12 and I’ll be a fan for the rest of my life. There will probably never be another band like them...
Dude I completely understand. I'm 29 now and my daughter Amory is pushing 1st grade. It's hard not to reminiscent on the times we had with this song and album. Hope is well, with a year sense your post.
Same, I was 11 when I heard this and now I'm 27, going to see them on they're tour, then SS Neverender, then on the PFI tour. I'll have seen Claudio perform like 11 times, I feel honestly pretty fortunate to be able to enjoy this music.
I accidentally met this dude at a comic convention. He gave me a signed version of his comic and we talked for a good 20 some minutes about it... it wasnt until after I showed the comic to a friend I did I find out this guy was actually famous.
This song is my song for moments when I want peace have peace want to relax...already relaxed.....this is just the greatest song ever never a bad time to hear this
Claudio seems like a friendly guy playing the guitar with that big ol smile... meanwhile he’s making Amish slaves burry his unwanted children.? Then goes and gets hammered on absinthe? What kind of video is this
Claudio claims "When we were called Shabűtie, the initial idea for Coheed and Cambria was to be an acoustic/electronic side project this is were i heard the info from
It's true that No World for Tomorrow is the end of the story but The Prize Fighter takes place long before the amory wars and follows the path of Jesse, Coheed's brother, Claudio's uncle, also know as the Inferno or the Prize fighter because of his boxing career so since it is basically a prequel who knows how much Claudio could write for it. Claudio is also planning on making future Coheed albums as prequels as well so just because the story is over doesn't mean that it can't have a start :)
ugh you lucky bastard ... i would do just about anything to meet coheed and cambria or claudio... this is the first ive ever heard this band and i like it
i cant get enough of claudio or coheed and cambria, idk what it is. but its all so good.thank god for these people, noone else couldve made wht they made Co&Ca 4life
Nope, it's just the end of the Armory Wars. They're doing a prequel album which will be released about a year after NWFT - so sometime soon. Their site atm has a teaser for a new album atm actually. After that they are probs gonna change their genre and style and do something new.
alright i was just checkin, but yeah no doubt co&ca, prize fighter inferno, and the english panther are all awesome, co & ca are one of the best bands of our time i think
i met Claudio twice in my life at the NY Comic Con. he signed all my comics and my All Hope Is Gone tour ticket from the thursday before Comic Con this year.
lol sorry, i meant to reply to someones comment, but i guess i 4got to press reply. don't mark me as a hater of the Prize Fighter Inferno because i love them and Coheed and Cambria is my favorite band in the world. i saw them live and they're like 1 of the only bands thats actually worth watching live because they sound GREAT live.
The vibe of this album is insane. Need to check out more of the PFI stuff but from what I heard just didn't have this kinda folky mix to the electronic sounds. The first album is just 👨🍳😘👌
well there are comic books called the Amory Wars, their about Coheed's and Cambria's(his wife) "dilema"(i dont want to give anything away), and their based on the albums. Their writin by Claudio himself so they stay true to the story and they are really well illustrated, i would reccomend picking them up if you dont like C&C because their just really good sci-fi fiction. I also believe there is a novel written by claudio but its out of print so im still trying to get my hands on one.
It's great how the sound is so different from Co&Ca despite Claudio's voice being so distinctive. Some side projects sound like a stripped down version of their main band. In the uk, I can't find this cd anywhere!
It's weird that Inferno is a big burly man and this album was supposed to be Inferno but it's so, "bubbly". I also heard they announced at Comic Con they're making an Armory Wars movie. All I know is that I love this song and every song Claudio is apart of.
@johndrummerman but isn't it also current day, as opposed to the Amory Wars' setting of the "near future", technically saying he was incarnated back in time?? or am i fucking things up here? haha
It is actually an IRO-bot named Jesse, who is referred to as Coheed's brother. He is also a boxer and goes by the name of The Prize Fighter Inferno, hence the name of the "band."
this is so awesome. i have the same acoustic sitting here right next to me :D so far this video of Claudio and the Mars Volta are the only two bands that ive seen using the same acoustic as me.
Claudio Sanchez is a god. Forever will I support him and everything he does, he deserves it fully after making this song, best on the album in my opinion.
jakeskillz omg same. You remember that one website where you could make a playlist of songs to play then embed it into your profile? I cant for the life of me remember what the site is or if its even around. It was like the og spotify.
I re-read your comment....and I'm sorry, I misread it. LOL!! I thought you said why DOESN'T the word LAME come up....Yeah, no he's never lame. He is just himself and that is awesome. I love it!
Ah good ol' Claudio. The man is a musical GENIOUS (as well as an excellent story teller)! I bought this album the day it was released and cant wait for the next installment... just hope it doesnt take 7 years like this one did lol
Yeah I know... Im not expecting a new album every two years like Coheed but I just dont want to wait 7 years LOL speaking of Coheed they are due for a new album this fall... Think they'll stick to their trend?
@loxodontafetation well the boomstick line is on at the start of the acoustic demo of junesong provision , so it wouldn't surprise me if it was the cabin
One thing I've always loved about this album is how the themes and the tones rarely match. This song for instance, is rather upbeat, kinda sweet sounding, and the chorus sounds positive. HELL YEA!
Yeah this entire album is basically the Texas chainsaw massacre, but set on the Fence instead of Texas
10 years later and I still love this song
Literally my most favorite song of my whole entire life
17 years now for me
Man I haven’t heard this song in a long time, I remember when it came out I was like 15 I’m 28 now. I’ve been listening to coheed since I was 11 or 12 and I’ll be a fan for the rest of my life. There will probably never be another band like them...
Same here my man, brings back the feels. Where the fuck did the time go.

Claudio is cool in his Colonel Sanders' cosplay.

I like how Claudio is this big hairy bearded guy with a voice that you would not expect to come from him, and a very talented musician.
If you deny Claudio in front of his fans, he will deny you in front of his music. Claudio = God.
This song is my song for moments when I want peace have peace want to relax...already relaxed.....this is just the greatest song ever never a bad time to hear this
"If it's me, then it isn't you"
He has the deduction powers of a god.
? They never broke up. Where'd you hear that? They've had line-up changes in the past, but right now they're goin' solid.
I like how Claudio gets all butthurt and goes and gets a shot of absinthe from that other Claudio
Claudio seems like a friendly guy playing the guitar with that big ol smile... meanwhile he’s making Amish slaves burry his unwanted children.? Then goes and gets hammered on absinthe? What kind of video is this

God, "MY BROTHERS BLOOD MACHINE" by The Prize Fighter Inferno is flawless. Perfect album!
Co&Ca 4life
ya dude the first song i heard cladio sing in was blood red summer. shocked the hell out of me
It might be the guitarists side project but it would be nothing without claudio's helium voice. its perfect for that kind of music
Nope, it's just the end of the Armory Wars.

such a badass with a heart of gold. No joke I met him and got to talk to him. Such a killer song.
Great song. It's so mellow and easy-going. I love watching Claudio sing, especially when he's smiling. :)
i believe claudio is a lion at heart
So is this what genuine bliss feels like? This is my go to song if I need a mood boost. One of your best Claudio.
they are working on a prequel album, set before second stage turbine blade
cant wait! due 2010 i think!
I love this tune.
Nothing says rock more than amish people building a house. I love this song.
This song just sounds so tragic and sad. But I love it.
