Yeah, I forgot how awesome this album was...but thinking about the lyrics is kinda upsetting.
Every single song has kinda a 'molestation' element to it. It's throughout all of Second Stage Turbine. I'm not exactly sure what he is trying to say. I want to like these songs, because they are incredible, but the lyrics are kinda icky when you think about them.

They are truly masters of their craft. They take their music and imagery so seriously. They use tight click tracks live too, the band is so fucking tight live its beautiful. Everyone screaming the end of IKSOSE3 is some of my favorite moments ever
My GOD I just randomly had this pop up and haven't clicked on anything so fast in my life. I used to adore this song, and it hasn't gotten any worse in the years it's been. This song will forever hold a special place in my heart, even when I unintentionally let it slip my mind.

There’s a pharmaceutical commercial with a side effect of parasitic cysts, and I can’t help but screaming “I can’t stand to watch, it’s coming up and out of your chest!” every single time I hear the damn commercial. I love this song.

I think I got one of Claudio’s drumsticks at a show, soma back in the day in SD. The bass of this song. The darkness, the dysfunctional chaotic energy is authentic but upbeat enough to live and even talk out to God… 🥀🌹

There both amazing! This song sounds so mysterious and Welcome Home has that great solo in the beginning. But yeah this song is probably way better and just overall more beautiful.

Discovered good apollo im burning star IV first and listened to that nonstop, now I've made my way back to the start and this whole album is fucking mindblowing. The drums on this song in particular are so mesmerizing. I love the tight garbage sounding snare, and the double snare hits in that chorus are just amazing!

The drums in this song never cease to amaze me. Time Consumer will always be my favorite because it’s the first thing I heard, but this has to be the best Coheed song.
You should also check out the drummers hip hop project ...Weerd Science ..college friend of mine grew up in the same town as Coheed and he’s particularly close with Josh

I heard this song 20 years ago, and I was like, who the fuck are these guys? Fantastic! One of my favorite bands,
So interesting story. Someone did a mashup of all the Alien movies(Prometheus included) and put this song to it. The song fit so we'll the lyrics followed the scenes with every word, for example "Parasitic cyst, I can't. Stand to watch. It's coming up and out of your chest. " As the chest burster emerged from one of the crew members in the first Alien. Well it's Gone! Some asshole took it down for what reason I don't know but I desperately want it back
I've always pictured that Alien scene in my head listening to this song lol
I'm pretty sure Claudio Sanchez stated that this song was written to be about the first Alien movie and was later re-contextualised as an Amory Wars song.

No, tons of bands ahead of C&C. Especially if we are talking about "ever". Ahead of C&C are bands like Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Grateful Dead, Metallica, Voi Vod, Iron Maiden, Ministry, certainly TOOL, and more. And, this is just bands under the genre of "progressive". C&C's music is tight as hell, but they are lyrically shallow. I like them, but they are way down on my list. Top 50, maybe. lol One of the greatest of the last 30 years, sure, I can go along with that.
