At least according to the slightly older lore, Venom was also a being that, due to its will previously having been controlled by an exceptionally evil being, a genocidal warlord that it was fused to and basically force fed a lot of negative thoughts and impulses by, it was also a being with a mindset between the normal and abnormal. This is basically why the symbiote can at times carry out long and sophisticated dialogue with its host and then the second it gets even the slightest bit injured it goes right back to screaming about how much it would really like to eat your brain. As an aside, in the original comics Eddie Brock actually figured out that Theobromine, the active substance in cocoa beans, could replace the neurotransmitters Venom was craving, so the symbiote would actually pig out on chocolate and then almost but not quite trip balls.
An underrated moment from the DoneDevimon episode from 2020 was when the Machinedramon outline explodes with light, DoneDevimon is pulled upward by the miasma arms by the force of the explosion, & when he sees it's WarGreymon - he launches every attack he has, as if he's absolutely terrified to see WarGreymon - as he should have been considering the outcome (& just because it's WarGreymon). "My dear old friend" 😂
My perspective is that the description giving to digimon only refers to one specific digimon. Either the first or a famous on will be described. However, once one exists of a certain digimon, an entire line of potential evolutions gains the possibility of exisiting. In short, Devimon’s evolution first appeared once Angelmon first turned into Devimon

I really like the idea of all Digimon having many different digivolution lines and going down them depending on their environment, personal decisions, how the data virus vaccine thing is being handled, training and their partner if they have one, etc. Because of this I tend to think of all its forms as possible routes. Virus would be more pure evil mons like Bakemon/Soulmon who drag opponents to hell, the bully Evilmon or "no other Digimon as evil as it is" Devidramon if the partner really screws up and focuses on increasing their power at all costs like that one anime episode with SkullGreymon. Vaccine is more neutral, power hungry or just conflict avoiding like the cowardly Boogiemon, cruel but detached IceDevimon. Data are more good, peaceful (or in this case the lesser of 3 evils or formerly good) like Devimon or the good guys Wizardmon and Sorcerimon. it could even be fully redeemed with the help of a kind-hearted partner and become an Angemon. Maybe it becomes Flawizardmon with a Digiegg of Courage. A data, or any, digivolution wouldn't necessarily change them to a that attribute but bring them closer to a "kinder" path and would probably be up to the opinion of whoever is making the evolution chart but I really like that room for creativity. The branching paths are a part of what sets Digimon apart from other mon series like Pokemon. These examples are just how I see the possible evolution lines from rookie to champion.
I recently found your videos a little over a week ago, I've gone through a few of them now. And in a few videos, you mentioned the Bancho Team, and named 3 of its 5 members. A little digging on my part, something I haven't done in some time, indicated that the last 2 are part of the Mamemon line and Golemon line. Checking your backlog, I was not able to find any videos on either lines, so it would be nice to see videos on those two soon so you can move on to a video discussing the Bancho Team proper.
For demidevimon, I feel like it digivolving to Bakemon then Myotismon is pretty fitting. Myotismon performed a similar act in getting Gatomon as his follower, which could be seen as another attempt at an angel digimon in Angewomon. Demidevimon's attacks 'Demi Darts' and 'Evil Whisper' fit the blood sucking and "seductive" manipulation that are associated with vampires such as Myotismon and GranDracmon. As for DoneDevimon, i get the feeling that it could potentially be as powerful as Lucemon Chaos Mode or Shadowlord. Completely theorizing, but I feel as if DoneDevimon is the result of a failed ploy to revive/recreate Lucemon CM or an equivalent by Daemon. Its stated the Daemon wants to revive Lucemon because it was the strongest of the dark digimon. If we take this Devimon as an Angemon that was made to fall (and not a creation of Apocalymon) then artificially enhanced it could be in an attempt to generate a new digimon outside of its "normal line". It could give a who and a why for how NeoDevimon was created. I say this because technically there isn't a divolution line after Devimon since Daemon is a fallen Seraphimon, meaning that it went through the normal patamon line to Seraphimon and then fell. NeoDevimon was artificially strengthened and restrained so it is not a natural 'fallen MagnaAngemon' but is instead an experiment to empower a digimon but maintain control of it. By that, even though they are 'equivalent' digivolving Devimon shouldn't automatically lead to Daemon. So DoneDevimon could be the result of that artificial enhancement loading it with so much negative data attempting to create ultimate Fallen Angel digimon. But instead of Lucemon, the glitched corrupt data yielded DoneDevimon; a powerhouse but at the cost of intelligence. Again completely theorized and not totally fool-proofed.
This is a pretty solid theory, but is this ignoring the actual origin of neodevimon just being a devimon enhanced with the data of arcadimon in V-Tamers by Neo Saiba. Though the daemon part would still be accurate I guess since daemon is the cause of all these events in that series
Exactly. Canonically Lucemon is the strongest Rookie by a landslide. No other Rookie, Champion or even Ultra level comes close, unless I'm missing something. If we go by Frontier Lore even Mega level Digimon aren't a challenge for Lucemon (Rookie) since it's described as being stronger than Seraphimon, Ophanimon and Cherubimon. Though I'd personally object to that since there are definitely Mega level Digimon who are stronger than Lucemon Satan Mode, so by logic far superior to his Rookie level. But yeah, Lucemon is by far the most powerful Rookie Digimon in the franchise seen so far.

Super-Mega level Digimon (apparently Ultra in english) completely wipe the floor with Lucemon, I'd argue even Satan Mode wouldn't be a challenge for UlforceVeedramon Future Mode or Arkadimon Ultra. As I said there are even "normal" Mega level Digimon who surpass Lucemon in power regardless of his Digivolution Stage. GranDracmon for example, who is lorewise above all Seven Deadly Sins in terms of power.
I agree, while War Greymon was technically able to defeat him it was only due to being in a supercharged semi digivoled state which has been seen to increase a digimon's strength further than normal and even then DoneDevimon was also facing "Prototype" Machinedramon thus being weakened and not 100% battle ready.
Question so is Don devimon to the Devimon line is what slashangmon is to the patamon line not the true mega form but a alternate mega form because I really like daemon

You talking about evil digimon here reminded me about something i dont think you've talked about yet, could be worth a video. What's the deal with dragomon, that giant cthulu like digimon towering in dark ocean seen in that dropped story line with kari? I mean the dark ocean was built up to be a big deal then we see this almost god like being rising from it, yet literally nothing came out of it? After looking it up on the wiki years later i find it crazy how its listed as just an ultimate, if basically cthulu is just an ultimate then what's the mega, or what about the rest of it's line? I just feel like this character could have been something so much more significant and needs more exploring and theorising =P

That however does digivolve from gesomon who would fit as a champion for dragomon, but i still find it very odd how this giant cthulu creature is listed as just an ultimate when it was built up to be a new significant villain/plot before it was dropped. Just because Dragomon is based on Cthulhu doesn't mean it should be Mega automatically. Cthulhu is a big deal from a human perspective but he's really low on the scale of Lovecraftian beings. Like an ant compared to a star low. Considering how stupid powerful Megas and Ultras can get, I'd say Ultimate is an appropriate stage for it as that's generally the natural peak of Digimon life with naturally occurring Megas being quite rare. Incredibly powerful by the standards of the average digimon but still a far cry from the peaks of power just like Cthulhu. As for why that plot went nowhere? Trouble in the writer's room, there were multiple creative voices pushing in multiple directions. Which is why 02 has so much filler, they could never decide on a set plot after the Emperor arc and kept changing their minds on what to do going forward. Leading to a ton of episodes about destroying spires as no actual plot happens while the writers fought over it. The guy who wrote and directed Tamers was responsible for the Dragomon and Daemon stuff in 02, both plots that went nowhere. Luckily he was given free reign on Tamers.
Honestly, I see many myotismon parallels with dondevimon. With the mega being powerful but not as intelligent being similar to venonmyotismon. So i’m hoping for a malomyotismon equivalent for devimon
I believe it already exists in the form of Daemon given that in most media prior to the new Digimon Adventure Daemon was treated as Devimon's Mega form along with the fact Daemon is said in lore to be a Seraphimon that fell into darkness the same way Devimon is a fallen Angemon. I do admit I could be wrong though. I definitely agree about the Myotismon/ VenomMyotismon comparison.
DemiDevimon is actually my favorite rookie level, both because I like Devimon in general but mostly because it's one of the rookies that can usually digivolve into Wizarmon, my all time favorite Digimon. If I got to choose I'd definitely want this shoulder devil as my Digimon.
For neodevimon being enhanced it depends on if you consider v tamer. The neo in neodevimon is from the human named neo who not only created a bunch of other digimon but is the tamer of arkadimon (spelling maybe wrong it's that digimon that shares a name in all stages and EATS digimon data)

Donedevimon, the owner of the Dimsdale Devidome? Jokes aside I see him as something akin to Venommyotismon. Large and powerful, but a slave to its base instincts. He has the symbol of evil on him so apparently there's an angelic version of him too? I think it'd be interesting to see parallel angel/demon digimon. So far the only ones I know of off the top of my head are: Angemon / Devimon Angewomon / Ladydevimon Seraphimon / Daemon
I assume you are referring to the design featured in Devilman Crybaby, since the original design for Amon, (The demon who Akira possesses) is very different. Funnily enough, the champion form of Devimon arguably looks closer to the 70s version of Deviman, while Done Devimon ressembales the Crybaby version of Devilman.
I have to disagree about the 'don' t mess with demidevi because you mess with myotismon'. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I think that myotismon is too evil to care about his servant. If demidevi gets killed, myotis will do nothing. He would never seek revenge for a useless Demidevi. He even would kill demidevi in case it fails a mission. Demidevi looks more in danger to me, if he stays by myotismon, than roaming freely. Because manipulating the ennemies is a good survival technique but not if a Myotismon threatens to kill you all the time, if you don't serve him. With other Masters, demidevi would be dangerous. But with myotismon or other evil masters, demidevimon is very very very alone, because the ennemies want to kill him and even his Master wants to kill it.
Neodevimon was actually artificially altered by a Digimon tamer named "Neo" that infused Devimon with the power of Arkadimon to create his perfect army and destroy the digital and human world so he could rebuild them in his perfect image.
Little long thought here Thanks to the new addition of Ghostmon who I think is Wizardmon's rookie form given they are both Data Nightmare soldiers, look alike with their witch hats, stitched mouths and their shy nature. But also while looking at Wizardmon again I saw that a lot of his Ultimate forms are all virus: Phantomon, Mistymon, Wisemon, Myostismon except SkullMeramon which is still a data type. I found it odd that he would become up to four virus types two of Mistymon and Wisemon that I once used to think were both data but are not and only have one Data that looks more like a virus. Till I realized that all of them not counting SkullMeramon are forms that showed the lengths Wizardmon went for more knowledge of the magic in the digital world that made him leave Witchelny in the first place. Phantomon -Clairvoyance Mistymon - Both knighthood and witchcraft Wisemon- Space-time magic Myostismon- Dark arts/necromancy All things that were label "Evil" to some. And yet all four forms that carry on that theme, also would put them Witchelny too. I think these four kinds of digimon and some their megas are Wizardmon's nautural forms in Witchelny but are very rare for not every Wizardmon or alt version goes Ultimate at all. But in the digital world it's much easier to reach that stage and made them stronger due to the data there. But SkullMeramon is not in Witchelny is due to it being a form a Wizardmon would only have the digital world in an area when they lack any sources of knowledge to indulge in. Like the Metal Empire. Thus needing to "Mutant" into something that lacks magic and more of having its attack and defense strength higher than magic to handle more savage digimon or the unstable environment. Ghostmon gave me these thoughts because Wizardmon's rookie forms are only Candlemon and Impmon opening even a bigger door I'm sure you want to talk about. I also was looking into Dracmon that could be part of the Myotismon tree due to Sangloupmon now official in games like Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory can be the champion form of Myotismon. Because I do agree with you Devimon not really the "Right form for Myotismon although the cards and anime love pushing the coffin and vampire like traits on Devimon where we have a big blood sucking wolf that is hard to catch/kill like Myotismon.

I'd say you answered your own question when asking who enhanced Devimon turning it into NeoDevimon. It was Neo from the V-Tamers manga as that is where it first appeared, Neo was shown to be very intelligent and was summoned by Demon to raises the Super Ultimate Digimon Arukadimon.
I suppose it could be a situation where after angemon becomes devimon, anytime he reverts to rookie hes demidevimon now. so demidevimons are former devimons, rather than demidevimon *becoming* devimon - with it being "close enough". and lol I didnt think youd talk about a digimon from november 2020
Either that or reincarnated demidevimons. As a punishment for falling for DemiDevimon's trap Devimon is not allowed to reincarnate into the Angemon line and instead can only digivolve from the DemiDevimon line.
Or it the reverse for a demi to digivolve to devimon it needs and angemon there the process is make it fall and fuse the demi mind with the Angelo's power creating devimon

Regarding the Demidevimon - Devimon thing and Devimon being an Angel corrupted by the former... Going a bit by the biblical myth, there's supposed to be only one "Fallen Angel" but in the current digital world there seems to be a fair amount of them with other rookies having the potential to become one, what if in ancient times Devimon was unable to evolve for whatever reason (lack of data, maybe?) but he wanted to do so and soothed to obtain some powerful data, that of an angelic being. So he went to corrupt an Angemon, bringing him down to the Dark Zone where he fused their data to turn them into Devimon while Demidevimon itself took some data for himself to complete whatever he lacked? Maybe another reason Demidevimon acts as a servant of other powerful demonic Digimon is so that he can obtain some "leftover data" from them to allow himself to evolve... I think you mentioned that Gabumon evolved into Garurumon by using some leftover data to alter his evolutionary chain, maybe Demi is the same... For all we know maybe his "hood" is made of material from the other demons to influence his evolution...
Actually, all of Satan's original demons are fallen angels. When Lucifer rebelled against God, he took a third of the heavenly host with him. We see this in parallel in the Book of Revelation when "the great dragon... [sweeps] away a third of the stars in the sky." Good points about DemiDevimon though.
If it has Spawn's abilities, it should be too powerful for even Yggdresil to stop, seeing that Spawn was able to dethrone both God and the devil in the comics. And adding Venom's abilities on top of its own, then I believe Donedevimon is going to be so tough to beat that anyone tasked with stopping it will need a miracle near identical to the power of all 7 of the King of Mages' holy grails combined, from Fate Grand Order.
This is just a theory, but something I thought about while you were talking about demidevimon digivolving into devimon. Perhaps the way he digivolves into devimon is by manipulating an angemon into coming to the dark side. Once he has him under his control, for the lack of a better term, he convinces angemon into killing himself. Demidevimon would then absorb the data of angemon, sort of like beelzemon does to leomon, and gains the digivolution that way. Idk, it seems like a way for him to manipulate someone into giving him the major power boost into his champion form.
I was sorta worried about demi devimon when i first saw it since I figured out immediately that it was devimon’s rookie and was scarred about the second coming of devimon.
He becomes a familiar for high level digimon in order to use them as hus protectors and detours much more powerful digimons from attacking him. Hes a silver tongued jester

Can't it be that Devimon is an extreme side evolution of Angemon and DemiDevimon can also evolve into Devimon because he's already in that extreme? Like data they both possessed, for Angemon's prior form as something to overcome in order to become a holy angel and for DemiDevimon one of his natural evolution lines...
i think it more DemiDevimon created his own next Evolution by turning and Transforming powerful Angemon into his next form. since lore wise creating completely new evolution that did not exist before can happen and Did happen for some Digimons. Example: NeoDevimon evolution itself was created by Neo Saiba in V-tamer storyline through experimentation by Artificially enhanced a Devimon's Power to Ultimate through Arkadimon Data that Evolution itself did not exists before until now.
If we put everything into consideration, I think DoneDevimon is a bit more above Mega and DoneDevimon without the mask is a Burst-Type evolution or waaaaay above Mega, like a Jogress, considering that they come from two other characters--that maybe is the message the writer wants to tell us. It kinda makes. So DoneDevimon (maskless) is a digimon that has gained the power of a Jogress without actually fusing with anything.

I think DonDevimon is definitely a powerful digimon but I don't think he's as powerful as a Demon Lord due to how you described him. His abnormal behavior might be his greatest weakness. He's still new so kind of hard to say really haha
Honestly I see him like a "weaker" belphemon as in he's a powerhouse and would probably outclass the average mega but no where as strong as the more powerful megas like a number of the royal knights like he would be seen as a threat to them but one maybe 2 of them could taken him on with limited trouble.

I said he doesn't out class strong megas though is atleast enough a threat to get the attention of a royal knight. Maybe DemiDevimon is the natural rookie of Devidramon, which might have been one of the original inhabitants of the dark area before Angemon fell. I once read a theory that Devimon’s outfit it made from Devidramon data, like it’s skin. Same with lady Devimon
Devidramon can probably digivolve into NeoDevimon, although another of it's potential Stage 5 forms is Cyberdramon. IceDevimon's potential Ultimates are MarineDevimon, Myotismon, SkullSatamon, & somehow it can become Arcadimon (Stage 5) & LadyDevimon in some of the games. NeoDevimon can become NeoMyotismon as well as DanDevimon.

@@undead4500 Look at Devidramon's Eyes notice that there are 4 of them right? NeoDevimon appears to have 6 Eyes behind its mask. Cyberdramon's head & body structure are similar to that of Devidramon supposing the technology replaced the extra eyes. Both Convergent & Divergent Digivolutions exist, however Devidramon into Cyberdramon or Neodevimon more than make sense. Of course there are several cases for digivolving that are confirmed yet don't quite make sense. Gazimon into Deltamon for example makes no sense.
Donedevimon was such a huge disappointment in the anime. I was really looking forward to Devimon in general getting more of a mastermind role in the new adaptation as I always felt like it was vastly underutilised in the original adventure anime as it is the litteral embodiment of the devil. This especially bugged me because I could never see a vampire digimon like Vamdemon as a lesser form of what Devimon could have been. Yet they couldn't be bothered to design a new ultimate form for Devimon for the new adaptation. As for reference, Neodevimon was originally designed for Digimon Adventure V-Tamer as an artificially remodeled version of Devimon with the role of massproduced henchmen created by a human that had the ability to enhance or create Digimon; hence the mechanical artifically design. And when we finally get a new mega form in Donedevimon it is basically a mindless berserker which can barely stand up to "enhanced" ultimate digimon and is defeated by an incomplete WarGreymon. Totally underwhelming. I would have much rather prefered it to evolve into mantled Daemon and continue pulling the strings from behind the scene if that is how a new evolution of it was going to be handled. Not only was Daemon already established in the digimon adventure 2 to be greatly powerful, but having it semi-defeat Tai and Yamato with them having to retreat would have been so much better than giving it a new mindless form to kill it off in its first actual encounter in physical form with them.
I always thought that DemiDeviom kinda looks like the mark of evil, if vaguely, myself. Also given Angemon's and DemiDevimon's natures it seems likely to me that a Demi used the Angemon as a shield, manipulating it in some way to protect it and over time corrupted it in subtle ways until it egged it into a fight with an evil Digimon it might have been serving. Then once it was weakened from the fight I theorize that DemiDevimon put in the finishing blow, consuming the data of the now weak Angemon and evolving itself into the form of Devimon, using the angelic data it stole and corrupted. Just my thoughts.
Devimon was turned into NeoDevimon by a Digimon tamer called Neo in the V-tamers manga. It was the first official appearance of NeoDevimon, and there were a bunch of them. Thus I can't really call NeoDevimon Devimon's mainline evolution. I think Myotismon is closer to being the true next form for Devimon, as that has been a thing since the first games.
It could be that some DemiDevimon are more cunning than other DemiDevimon. And the one that interacted with DigiDestined was on the lesser side. Also, TK was a very good kidoh so that probably helped.

I buy it as DemiDevimon since Myotismon visually is very similar to Wizardmon, its other champion form. I see that as the proper evolution line for Myotismon. Plus it keeps the Devimon name thus making it closer to the Demidevimon line rather than Tsukaimon

Digimon evolution are not fixed both Demidevimon and Tsukaimon are considered devimon's two rookie forms just like there multiple Devimon champion forms (icedevimon,devimon,Devidramon) and ultimate (Neodevimon, Myotismon, Skullsatamon) etc.
Guardian of time. The dahaka was the guardian of time, not some random monster. It was responsible for maintaining the timeline intact. This was demonstrated when it stopped chasing the price and attacked Kaileena when she was brought to the present, because in that instance she was the one that wasn't supposed to exist in that moment in time. And yes, they should have remastered the whole trilogy, not just Sands of Time. I'm actually still pretty pissed about that. Oh, fun fact. First time I played Warrior Within, my high school physics teacher gave it to me. She was an avid MMO player. She was not young.

Nobody can hope to defeat the power of rock, if the music doesnt compell you then we can always try actual rocks. He has wings so he's part flying type and flying types are weak to rock type attacks. Devimons biggest weakness is a rock, that's how he rolls
In the V-Tamers manga NeoDevimon was created by infusing a Devimon with 1% of Arcadimons Data same for Callismon a Grizzmon infused with 10% of Arcadimons Data.
I have my own personal theory about the demidevimon and devimon species. See, Digimons have lifespans. I believe that Devimon came first, being the corrupted form of angemon, and after it moved to the Dark Area, after reaching the end of its lifespan, it reincarnated, as Digimon do (some versions say, however, that The reincarnation is more like The offspring of the former Digimon comprised of the former digimon's leftover data) and this reincarnation evolved into a new Digimon, which was demidevimon, instead of patamon. Hence creating an entire new Digimon evolutionary family.
I view Wizardmon as being the proper pre-evolution for Myotismon due to how much similar Myotismon looks visually to Wizardmon. The same hair color, skin color, eye color, and the outfit color is mostly the same. Devimon looks more different from Myotismon
my personal option is that on a scale from 1 to 10 (because mega level digimon have a wide variances of strengths) with 1 being something that a small group of top tier ultimate level digimons could reasonably beat to a 10 being on par with the royal knights base forms or base form 7sins, DoneDevimon would be about a 5 or 6 average to slightly above average. this is for two reasons, first is what patamon said when he saw DoneDevimon, "only it's powers evolved, it's mind...". while this could be taken as "he's not the same being as devimon" I personally take this line to mean that DoneDevimon never quite regained the level of intelligence that it had as Devilmon, and that they have a similar level of intelligence as neodevimon. the second is how lost in the anime, which was by an incomplete mega level digimon, after being beaten down by an incomplete dark digivolution. DoneDevimon strengths are in his corruptive misama and his berserker strength , and the anime showed that a mega level who could resist or is immune to the miasma, can fight DoneDevimon on pretty much even grounds and his lack or lower intelligence means that the would be unable to react in time to unexpected events, like the incomplete wargreymon showing up. so summarize DoneDevimon is dangerous yes but his weaknesses prevent him from being anything more than middle of the road
Donedevimon Was created using the Energy form the crystal which is Moonmilleniumon so the power spike he had form that is not surprising at all its also completely mindless (berserk) it has yet to appear anywhere else to get any official ranking and such but even then i don't think he still would be on par with the other demon lord or royal knight he powerful and been one hell of a show in the anime but a incomplete machinedramon was fucking it over then he got finished up by a incomplete wargreymon, i know some will say tis bull but it still is first appearance so its way too soon to judge is Upper power.

My theory about Demi Devimon evolving into a Devimon is that all Digimon have racial memories as well as individual memories. So a Devimon can still has a dim memories about being a Angemon even if it evolved from a Demi Devimon.
I think you could say that Demidevimon is kind of like a child that gets bullied / pushed around a lot. Causing this made demidevimon start planning and scheming against its masters or against others to get their own way. Because it masters the art of manipulation, it evolves into Devimon. From what we see it’s talks in a every educated manner, it knows it has power, but I think it’s restricting its own power as it knows he won’t be able to control it to the entirety. When it digivolves to Neodevimon, that masks it wears and also its skin colour shows that it’s going Ill and insane with all the power it has. It’s on the verge of going crazy however the mask it wears distorts the reality. When the mask gets broken, the true evil and madness is released. In popular culture, sticking out your tongue has various meaning however, however I think it could mean that he is now crazed with power.
I said this before on your other videos and I'll say it again the specific version of the Digimon your drawing from is a individual and an extremely cunning individual so you have to remember not every demidevimon is going to be able to convince a high-ranking Angel Digimon to become a fallen angel it's a case-by-case basis and the majority of them would be unable to pull off that feat or anything close to it.
You know devimon's new evaluation line has reignited a question I once had. Does angamon and devimon have a dna-digi-evalution? Much like Mastemon who is a dna-digi-evalution they are two sides of a coin much like anga-women and lady-devimon. Point is with Mastemon it raises the question of if there's a male counterpart and you know stuff's long sense hit the fan if a Mastemon pop's up so a male variant wouldn't be too out there. I mean a digimon who is destined to well that is not likely to be a only thing.

At least according to the slightly older lore, Venom was also a being that, due to its will previously having been controlled by an exceptionally evil being, a genocidal warlord that it was fused to and basically force fed a lot of negative thoughts and impulses by, it was also a being with a mindset between the normal and abnormal.
This is basically why the symbiote can at times carry out long and sophisticated dialogue with its host and then the second it gets even the slightest bit injured it goes right back to screaming about how much it would really like to eat your brain.
As an aside, in the original comics Eddie Brock actually figured out that Theobromine, the active substance in cocoa beans, could replace the neurotransmitters Venom was craving, so the symbiote would actually pig out on chocolate and then almost but not quite trip balls.
An underrated moment from the DoneDevimon episode from 2020 was when the Machinedramon outline explodes with light, DoneDevimon is pulled upward by the miasma arms by the force of the explosion, & when he sees it's WarGreymon - he launches every attack he has, as if he's absolutely terrified to see WarGreymon - as he should have been considering the outcome (& just because it's WarGreymon).

My perspective is that the description giving to digimon only refers to one specific digimon. Either the first or a famous on will be described. However, once one exists of a certain digimon, an entire line of potential evolutions gains the possibility of exisiting. In short, Devimon’s evolution first appeared once Angelmon first turned into Devimon

I really like the idea of all Digimon having many different digivolution lines and going down them depending on their environment, personal decisions, how the data virus vaccine thing is being handled, training and their partner if they have one, etc. Because of this I tend to think of all its forms as possible routes.
Virus would be more pure evil mons like Bakemon/Soulmon who drag opponents to hell, the bully Evilmon or "no other Digimon as evil as it is" Devidramon if the partner really screws up and focuses on increasing their power at all costs like that one anime episode with SkullGreymon.
Vaccine is more neutral, power hungry or just conflict avoiding like the cowardly Boogiemon, cruel but detached IceDevimon.
Data are more good, peaceful (or in this case the lesser of 3 evils or formerly good) like Devimon or the good guys Wizardmon and Sorcerimon. it could even be fully redeemed with the help of a kind-hearted partner and become an Angemon.
Maybe it becomes Flawizardmon with a Digiegg of Courage.
A data, or any, digivolution wouldn't necessarily change them to a that attribute but bring them closer to a "kinder" path and would probably be up to the opinion of whoever is making the evolution chart but I really like that room for creativity. The branching paths are a part of what sets Digimon apart from other mon series like Pokemon. These examples are just how I see the possible evolution lines from rookie to champion.

NeoDevimon's thing is a reference to V-Tamers, where it originated from. In that manga a human child created many of them.
I recently found your videos a little over a week ago, I've gone through a few of them now. And in a few videos, you mentioned the Bancho Team, and named 3 of its 5 members. A little digging on my part, something I haven't done in some time, indicated that the last 2 are part of the Mamemon line and Golemon line. Checking your backlog, I was not able to find any videos on either lines, so it would be nice to see videos on those two soon so you can move on to a video discussing the Bancho Team proper.
For demidevimon, I feel like it digivolving to Bakemon then Myotismon is pretty fitting. Myotismon performed a similar act in getting Gatomon as his follower, which could be seen as another attempt at an angel digimon in Angewomon. Demidevimon's attacks 'Demi Darts' and 'Evil Whisper' fit the blood sucking and "seductive" manipulation that are associated with vampires such as Myotismon and GranDracmon.
As for DoneDevimon, i get the feeling that it could potentially be as powerful as Lucemon Chaos Mode or Shadowlord. Completely theorizing, but I feel as if DoneDevimon is the result of a failed ploy to revive/recreate Lucemon CM or an equivalent by Daemon. Its stated the Daemon wants to revive Lucemon because it was the strongest of the dark digimon. If we take this Devimon as an Angemon that was made to fall (and not a creation of Apocalymon) then artificially enhanced it could be in an attempt to generate a new digimon outside of its "normal line". It could give a who and a why for how NeoDevimon was created. I say this because technically there isn't a divolution line after Devimon since Daemon is a fallen Seraphimon, meaning that it went through the normal patamon line to Seraphimon and then fell. NeoDevimon was artificially strengthened and restrained so it is not a natural 'fallen MagnaAngemon' but is instead an experiment to empower a digimon but maintain control of it. By that, even though they are 'equivalent' digivolving Devimon shouldn't automatically lead to Daemon. So DoneDevimon could be the result of that artificial enhancement loading it with so much negative data attempting to create ultimate Fallen Angel digimon. But instead of Lucemon, the glitched corrupt data yielded DoneDevimon; a powerhouse but at the cost of intelligence. Again completely theorized and not totally fool-proofed.
This is a pretty solid theory, but is this ignoring the actual origin of neodevimon just being a devimon enhanced with the data of arcadimon in V-Tamers by Neo Saiba. Though the daemon part would still be accurate I guess since daemon is the cause of all these events in that series

Exactly. Canonically Lucemon is the strongest Rookie by a landslide. No other Rookie, Champion or even Ultra level comes close, unless I'm missing something. If we go by Frontier Lore even Mega level Digimon aren't a challenge for Lucemon (Rookie) since it's described as being stronger than Seraphimon, Ophanimon and Cherubimon.
Though I'd personally object to that since there are definitely Mega level Digimon who are stronger than Lucemon Satan Mode, so by logic far superior to his Rookie level.
But yeah, Lucemon is by far the most powerful Rookie Digimon in the franchise seen so far.

I agree, by the way. Super-Mega level Digimon (apparently Ultra in english) completely wipe the floor with Lucemon, I'd argue even Satan Mode wouldn't be a challenge for UlforceVeedramon Future Mode or Arkadimon Ultra. As I said there are even "normal" Mega level Digimon who surpass Lucemon in power regardless of his Digivolution Stage. GranDracmon for example, who is lorewise above all Seven Deadly Sins in terms of power.

I agree, while War Greymon was technically able to defeat him it was only due to being in a supercharged semi digivoled state which has been seen to increase a digimon's strength further than normal and even then DoneDevimon was also facing "Prototype" Machinedramon thus being weakened and not 100% battle ready.
Done Devimon in my opinion is the prelude to Demon

You talking about evil digimon here reminded me about something i dont think you've talked about yet, could be worth a video. What's the deal with dragomon, that giant cthulu like digimon towering in dark ocean seen in that dropped story line with kari? I mean the dark ocean was built up to be a big deal then we see this almost god like being rising from it, yet literally nothing came out of it? After looking it up on the wiki years later i find it crazy how its listed as just an ultimate, if basically cthulu is just an ultimate then what's the mega, or what about the rest of it's line? I just feel like this character could have been something so much more significant and needs more exploring and theorising =P

Really looks like it should be a mega instead, possibly an alternate mega to leviamon
Just because Dragomon is based on Cthulhu doesn't mean it should be Mega automatically. Cthulhu is a big deal from a human perspective but he's really low on the scale of Lovecraftian beings. Like an ant compared to a star low. Considering how stupid powerful Megas and Ultras can get, I'd say Ultimate is an appropriate stage for it as that's generally the natural peak of Digimon life with naturally occurring Megas being quite rare. Incredibly powerful by the standards of the average digimon but still a far cry from the peaks of power just like Cthulhu.
As for why that plot went nowhere? Trouble in the writer's room, there were multiple creative voices pushing in multiple directions. Which is why 02 has so much filler, they could never decide on a set plot after the Emperor arc and kept changing their minds on what to do going forward. Leading to a ton of episodes about destroying spires as no actual plot happens while the writers fought over it.
The guy who wrote and directed Tamers was responsible for the Dragomon and Daemon stuff in 02, both plots that went nowhere. Luckily he was given free reign on Tamers.
Honestly, I see many myotismon parallels with dondevimon. With the mega being powerful but not as intelligent being similar to venonmyotismon. So i’m hoping for a malomyotismon equivalent for devimon
I believe it already exists in the form of Daemon given that in most media prior to the new Digimon Adventure Daemon was treated as Devimon's Mega form along with the fact Daemon is said in lore to be a Seraphimon that fell into darkness the same way Devimon is a fallen Angemon. I do admit I could be wrong though. I definitely agree about the Myotismon/ VenomMyotismon comparison.

DemiDevimon is actually my favorite rookie level, both because I like Devimon in general but mostly because it's one of the rookies that can usually digivolve into Wizarmon, my all time favorite Digimon.
If I got to choose I'd definitely want this shoulder devil as my Digimon.
For neodevimon being enhanced it depends on if you consider v tamer. The neo in neodevimon is from the human named neo who not only created a bunch of other digimon but is the tamer of arkadimon (spelling maybe wrong it's that digimon that shares a name in all stages and EATS digimon data)

I think it'd be interesting to see parallel angel/demon digimon. So far the only ones I know of off the top of my head are:
Angemon / Devimon
Angewomon / Ladydevimon
Seraphimon / Daemon
Ophanimon - Lilithmon

I assume you are referring to the design featured in Devilman Crybaby, since the original design for Amon, (The demon who Akira possesses) is very different. Funnily enough, the champion form of Devimon arguably looks closer to the 70s version of Deviman, while Done Devimon ressembales the Crybaby version of Devilman.

I have to disagree about the 'don' t mess with demidevi because you mess with myotismon'.
Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I think that myotismon is too evil to care about his servant. If demidevi gets killed, myotis will do nothing. He would never seek revenge for a useless Demidevi. He even would kill demidevi in case it fails a mission. Demidevi looks more in danger to me, if he stays by myotismon, than roaming freely. Because manipulating the ennemies is a good survival technique but not if a Myotismon threatens to kill you all the time, if you don't serve him.
With other Masters, demidevi would be dangerous. But with myotismon or other evil masters, demidevimon is very very very alone, because the ennemies want to kill him and even his Master wants to kill it.

Neodevimon was actually artificially altered by a Digimon tamer named "Neo" that infused Devimon with the power of Arkadimon to create his perfect army and destroy the digital and human world so he could rebuild them in his perfect image.

Thanks to the new addition of Ghostmon who I think is Wizardmon's rookie form given they are both Data Nightmare soldiers, look alike with their witch hats, stitched mouths and their shy nature.
But also while looking at Wizardmon again I saw that a lot of his Ultimate forms are all virus: Phantomon, Mistymon, Wisemon, Myostismon except SkullMeramon which is still a data type.
I found it odd that he would become up to four virus types two of Mistymon and Wisemon that I once used to think were both data but are not and only have one Data that looks more like a virus. Till I realized that all of them not counting SkullMeramon are forms that showed the lengths Wizardmon went for more knowledge of the magic in the digital world that made him leave Witchelny in the first place.
Phantomon -Clairvoyance
Mistymon - Both knighthood and witchcraft
Wisemon- Space-time magic
Myostismon- Dark arts/necromancy
All things that were label "Evil" to some. And yet all four forms that carry on that theme, also would put them Witchelny too.
I think these four kinds of digimon and some their megas are Wizardmon's nautural forms in Witchelny but are very rare for not every Wizardmon or alt version goes Ultimate at all. But in the digital world it's much easier to reach that stage and made them stronger due to the data there. But SkullMeramon is not in Witchelny is due to it being a form a Wizardmon would only have the digital world in an area when they lack any sources of knowledge to indulge in. Like the Metal Empire.
Thus needing to "Mutant" into something that lacks magic and more of having its attack and defense strength higher than magic to handle more savage digimon or the unstable environment.
Ghostmon gave me these thoughts because Wizardmon's rookie forms are only Candlemon and Impmon opening even a bigger door I'm sure you want to talk about.
I also was looking into Dracmon that could be part of the Myotismon tree due to Sangloupmon now official in games like Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory can be the champion form of Myotismon. Because I do agree with you Devimon not really the "Right form for Myotismon although the cards and anime love pushing the coffin and vampire like traits on Devimon where we have a big blood sucking wolf that is hard to catch/kill like Myotismon.

Regarding the Demidevimon - Devimon thing and Devimon being an Angel corrupted by the former... Going a bit by the biblical myth, there's supposed to be only one "Fallen Angel" but in the current digital world there seems to be a fair amount of them with other rookies having the potential to become one, what if in ancient times Devimon was unable to evolve for whatever reason (lack of data, maybe?) but he wanted to do so and soothed to obtain some powerful data, that of an angelic being. So he went to corrupt an Angemon, bringing him down to the Dark Zone where he fused their data to turn them into Devimon while Demidevimon itself took some data for himself to complete whatever he lacked? Maybe another reason Demidevimon acts as a servant of other powerful demonic Digimon is so that he can obtain some "leftover data" from them to allow himself to evolve... I think you mentioned that Gabumon evolved into Garurumon by using some leftover data to alter his evolutionary chain, maybe Demi is the same... For all we know maybe his "hood" is made of material from the other demons to influence his evolution...
Actually, all of Satan's original demons are fallen angels. When Lucifer rebelled against God, he took a third of the heavenly host with him. We see this in parallel in the Book of Revelation when "the great dragon... [sweeps] away a third of the stars in the sky."
Good points about DemiDevimon though.
If it has Spawn's abilities, it should be too powerful for even Yggdresil to stop, seeing that Spawn was able to dethrone both God and the devil in the comics. And adding Venom's abilities on top of its own, then I believe Donedevimon is going to be so tough to beat that anyone tasked with stopping it will need a miracle near identical to the power of all 7 of the King of Mages' holy grails combined, from Fate Grand Order.
This is just a theory, but something I thought about while you were talking about demidevimon digivolving into devimon. Perhaps the way he digivolves into devimon is by manipulating an angemon into coming to the dark side. Once he has him under his control, for the lack of a better term, he convinces angemon into killing himself. Demidevimon would then absorb the data of angemon, sort of like beelzemon does to leomon, and gains the digivolution that way.
Idk, it seems like a way for him to manipulate someone into giving him the major power boost into his champion form.
I was sorta worried about demi devimon when i first saw it since I figured out immediately that it was devimon’s rookie and was scarred about the second coming of devimon.
As powerful as the writers need him to be.

i think it more DemiDevimon created his own next Evolution by turning and Transforming powerful Angemon into his next form.

Example: NeoDevimon evolution itself was created by Neo Saiba in V-tamer storyline through experimentation by Artificially enhanced a Devimon's Power to Ultimate through Arkadimon Data that Evolution itself did not exists before until now.
If we put everything into consideration, I think DoneDevimon is a bit more above Mega and DoneDevimon without the mask is a Burst-Type evolution or waaaaay above Mega, like a Jogress, considering that they come from two other characters--that maybe is the message the writer wants to tell us. It kinda makes. So DoneDevimon (maskless) is a digimon that has gained the power of a Jogress without actually fusing with anything.
Sounds like Demidevimon got lucky when he lured the Angel Digimon. It’s like when a 14 years old boy tells a 28 years old man, “Yeah, my sister just turned 18 and she’s looking for anyone to be her boyfriend.”

I think DonDevimon is definitely a powerful digimon but I don't think he's as powerful as a Demon Lord due to how you described him. His abnormal behavior might be his greatest weakness. He's still new so kind of hard to say really haha
Honestly I see him like a "weaker" belphemon as in he's a powerhouse and would probably outclass the average mega but no where as strong as the more powerful megas like a number of the royal knights like he would be seen as a threat to them but one maybe 2 of them could taken him on with limited trouble.
He got beaten by Wargreymon, half of a royal knight, although he was angemon buffed.

Devidramon can probably digivolve into NeoDevimon, although another of it's potential Stage 5 forms is Cyberdramon. IceDevimon's potential Ultimates are MarineDevimon, Myotismon, SkullSatamon, & somehow it can become Arcadimon (Stage 5) & LadyDevimon in some of the games. NeoDevimon can become NeoMyotismon as well as DanDevimon.

@@undead4500 Look at Devidramon's Eyes notice that there are 4 of them right? NeoDevimon appears to have 6 Eyes behind its mask. Cyberdramon's head & body structure are similar to that of Devidramon supposing the technology replaced the extra eyes.
Both Convergent & Divergent Digivolutions exist, however Devidramon into Cyberdramon or Neodevimon more than make sense. Of course there are several cases for digivolving that are confirmed yet don't quite make sense. Gazimon into Deltamon for example makes no sense.
Donedevimon was such a huge disappointment in the anime.
I was really looking forward to Devimon in general getting more of a mastermind role in the new adaptation as I always felt like it was vastly underutilised in the original adventure anime as it is the litteral embodiment of the devil.
This especially bugged me because I could never see a vampire digimon like Vamdemon as a lesser form of what Devimon could have been.
Yet they couldn't be bothered to design a new ultimate form for Devimon for the new adaptation. As for reference, Neodevimon was originally designed for Digimon Adventure V-Tamer as an artificially remodeled version of Devimon with the role of massproduced henchmen created by a human that had the ability to enhance or create Digimon; hence the mechanical artifically design.
And when we finally get a new mega form in Donedevimon it is basically a mindless berserker which can barely stand up to "enhanced" ultimate digimon and is defeated by an incomplete WarGreymon. Totally underwhelming.
I would have much rather prefered it to evolve into mantled Daemon and continue pulling the strings from behind the scene if that is how a new evolution of it was going to be handled. Not only was Daemon already established in the digimon adventure 2 to be greatly powerful, but having it semi-defeat Tai and Yamato with them having to retreat would have been so much better than giving it a new mindless form to kill it off in its first actual encounter in physical form with them.
I always thought that DemiDeviom kinda looks like the mark of evil, if vaguely, myself.
Also given Angemon's and DemiDevimon's natures it seems likely to me that a Demi used the Angemon as a shield, manipulating it in some way to protect it and over time corrupted it in subtle ways until it egged it into a fight with an evil Digimon it might have been serving.
Then once it was weakened from the fight I theorize that DemiDevimon put in the finishing blow, consuming the data of the now weak Angemon and evolving itself into the form of Devimon, using the angelic data it stole and corrupted.
Just my thoughts.
To be honest i want to see a demidevimon who is a partner to a digidestined human. Use the whole darkness is just a tool concept.
Devimon was turned into NeoDevimon by a Digimon tamer called Neo in the V-tamers manga. It was the first official appearance of NeoDevimon, and there were a bunch of them. Thus I can't really call NeoDevimon Devimon's mainline evolution. I think Myotismon is closer to being the true next form for Devimon, as that has been a thing since the first games.
It should have always been Devimon > Vamdemon > Demon period.
It could be that some DemiDevimon are more cunning than other DemiDevimon. And the one that interacted with DigiDestined was on the lesser side. Also, TK was a very good kidoh so that probably helped.

Somehow, I think that NeoDevimon was specifically meant to be Tsukaimon's ultimate form, not DemiDevimon.
I buy it as DemiDevimon since Myotismon visually is very similar to Wizardmon, its other champion form. I see that as the proper evolution line for Myotismon. Plus it keeps the Devimon name thus making it closer to the Demidevimon line rather than Tsukaimon

Guardian of time. The dahaka was the guardian of time, not some random monster. It was responsible for maintaining the timeline intact. This was demonstrated when it stopped chasing the price and attacked Kaileena when she was brought to the present, because in that instance she was the one that wasn't supposed to exist in that moment in time. And yes, they should have remastered the whole trilogy, not just Sands of Time. I'm actually still pretty pissed about that. Oh, fun fact. I have my own personal theory about the demidevimon and devimon species.
See, Digimons have lifespans. I believe that Devimon came first, being the corrupted form of angemon, and after it moved to the Dark Area, after reaching the end of its lifespan, it reincarnated, as Digimon do (some versions say, however, that The reincarnation is more like The offspring of the former Digimon comprised of the former digimon's leftover data) and this reincarnation evolved into a new Digimon, which was demidevimon, instead of patamon. Hence creating an entire new Digimon evolutionary family.
I view Wizardmon as being the proper pre-evolution for Myotismon due to how much similar Myotismon looks visually to Wizardmon. The same hair color, skin color, eye color, and the outfit color is mostly the same. Devimon looks more different from Myotismon
my personal option is that on a scale from 1 to 10 (because mega level digimon have a wide variances of strengths) with 1 being something that a small group of top tier ultimate level digimons could reasonably beat to a 10 being on par with the royal knights base forms or base form 7sins, DoneDevimon would be about a 5 or 6 average to slightly above average. this is for two reasons, first is what patamon said when he saw DoneDevimon, "only it's powers evolved, it's mind...". while this could be taken as "he's not the same being as devimon" I personally take this line to mean that DoneDevimon never quite regained the level of intelligence that it had as Devilmon, and that they have a similar level of intelligence as neodevimon. the second is how lost in the anime, which was by an incomplete mega level digimon, after being beaten down by an incomplete dark digivolution. DoneDevimon strengths are in his corruptive misama and his berserker strength , and the anime showed that a mega level who could resist or is immune to the miasma, can fight DoneDevimon on pretty much even grounds and his lack or lower intelligence means that the would be unable to react in time to unexpected events, like the incomplete wargreymon showing up. so summarize DoneDevimon is dangerous yes but his weaknesses prevent him from being anything more than middle of the road
Donedevimon Was created using the Energy form the crystal which is Moonmilleniumon so the power spike he had form that is not surprising at all its also completely mindless (berserk) it has yet to appear anywhere else to get any official ranking and such but even then i don't think he still would be on par with the other demon lord or royal knight he powerful and been one hell of a show in the anime but a incomplete machinedramon was fucking it over then he got finished up by a incomplete wargreymon, i know some will say tis bull but it still is first appearance so its way too soon to judge is Upper power.

My theory about Demi Devimon evolving into a Devimon is that all Digimon have racial memories as well as individual memories. So a Devimon can still has a dim memories about being a Angemon even if it evolved from a Demi Devimon.

I think you could say that Demidevimon is kind of like a child that gets bullied / pushed around a lot. Causing this made demidevimon start planning and scheming against its masters or against others to get their own way.
Because it masters the art of manipulation, it evolves into Devimon. From what we see it’s talks in a every educated manner, it knows it has power, but I think it’s restricting its own power as it knows he won’t be able to control it to the entirety.
When it digivolves to Neodevimon, that masks it wears and also its skin colour shows that it’s going Ill and insane with all the power it has. It’s on the verge of going crazy however the mask it wears distorts the reality.
When the mask gets broken, the true evil and madness is released. In popular culture, sticking out your tongue has various meaning however, however I think it could mean that he is now crazed with power.
I said this before on your other videos and I'll say it again the specific version of the Digimon your drawing from is a individual and an extremely cunning individual so you have to remember not every demidevimon is going to be able to convince a high-ranking Angel Digimon to become a fallen angel it's a case-by-case basis and the majority of them would be unable to pull off that feat or anything close to it.

You know devimon's new evaluation line has reignited a question I once had. Does angamon and devimon have a dna-digi-evalution? Much like Mastemon who is a dna-digi-evalution they are two sides of a coin much like anga-women and lady-devimon. Point is with Mastemon it raises the question of if there's a male counterpart and you know stuff's long sense hit the fan if a Mastemon pop's up so a male variant wouldn't be too out there. I mean a digimon who is destined to well that is not likely to be a only thing.
