Gabumon are very shy and self conscious about their appearance. It's afraid of getting hurt without it's Garurumon pelt, not just physically but also mentally, being bullied and made fun of for it's appearance without the Fierce fur of Garurumon
Think of it like this, I'm a Gabumon(without the fur) and am sick of being picked on and underestimated for my silly and weak appearance(and being underestimated can get me and/or my master killed). But one day, I find the data for the fur coat of Garurumon, who is respected for it power. I make a copy of this fur coat, to make my enemies think twice before picking a fight with me or my master.

I think the Nightmare Soldiers gene represents the werewolf aspect of his line. In some folklore werewolves are considered undead. Also "loup garou" is the French word for werewolf, If I remember correctly. Hence the name Garurumon. Keep in mind that not all lychantropy is described the same. For instance, in D&D a werewolf is at max power when he or she shifts completely into a wolf, with the bipedal, anthropomorphic version being an incomplete transformation. My guess is that the creators of Garurumon assumed that the half humanoid version had more power in the form of intelligence and tactics, rather than the raw speed of the full wolf version, which is why they made the bipedal version stronger. Plus, you know, it looks cooler.
25:17 well I do prefer Pokémon for video games as gamefreack pretty much mastered a monster RPG scenario game as well as the game is being my childhood. As a TV show digimon wins because it actually has a good story that has really good twist and turns For marketing well... Pokémon kind of stomps on digimon through marketing of any kind really Pokémon seems to be a little more easier to understand in away because there’s not so many connecting evolutions or different variations of the same monster. Plus the typing is very understandable on which beats what as well as the evolutions making a bit more sense compared to digimon. As a whole digimon is ok I don’t get the same enjoyment when I’m playing a Digimon game compared to a Pokémon game But I do get a lot more enjoyment watching the digimon tv shows compared to the Pokémon ones
That was a good video as always .^^ As for what you said about Psychemon it does have a Champion form it is called Gururumon a Subspecies/Variation of Garurumon who uses high-temperature flames spewed from its mouth and then it evolves into Astamon but of course it is possible for a Digimon to jump from Rookie to Ultra immediately just like you said Psychemon could, but it does have a Champion form, as for the Mega level it can evolve to Belphemon sleep mode but it's direct evolution seems to be Tactimon.

the nightmare soldier gene may also come from its inspiration, a werewolf, which is mostly depicted as a curse, and is also a violent and aggressive creature. And lastly the correlation of werewolves AND wolves to the night and the moon, where a full moon is often associated with myths and magic, so it's no surprise that it both belongs to the virus buster group AND the nightmare soldier group, because it's a purely mythical creature that has a duality of good and bad
Oh and just so you know, Astamon and Belphemon sleep mode and rage mode has *2* different rookie levels. Psychemon & Phascomon. Phascomon is part of Belphemon's *_real_* evolution line.

That's what I thought. Garurumon seems like a forced evolution path, I assume gabumon wouldn't survive without its fur, but if it did and could evolve to its true form it probably would be pretty cool. Or gabumon is just a shapeshifter digimon and can evolve into any digimon if it has its dna data.

I could have talked about Gabumon X. The only "problem" is that the video already was more than 20 minutes...and Gabumon X is "pretty" much the same as regular Gabumon but with some slight changes (unless of course I am making a mistake because I don't even have an idea of the looks of Gabumon X)...
To be honest Samuel, don't get me wrong, but when I made this video I replied to the comment of Cory Templeton asking me to make a video about the other original two team digimons (which included Gabumon). When it comes to Elemental Affinity, gabumon really does confuse me because it's all over the place really. Seems like it's supposed to be tied to the elements of ice, but blue Blaster is a fire attack, so is howling Blaster from garurumon. But in some games weregarurumon drops the fire element completely and is tied to the Earth, and then metalgarurumon goes and becomes a cyborg and has a bunch of ice attacks, but then the Digi egg of friendship causes anyone who uses it to gain electric properties and it's just like... Geez make up your mind Agumon is fire and it sticks with fire😂

You have some weird rl Philosophys. No Astamon wont evolve into Belphemon, the Astamon whit Brown Head did, this one had a blue Head. It was a copy? Created by Quarzmon and evolved into the true Quarzmon later.

Could you explain byomon please because in one of the digimon anime shes really big and uses Hawkemons evolutions aqulamon instead of birdramon. So is it that only female byomon evole into birdramon?

The only "problem" is that the video already was more than 20 minutes...and Gabumon X is "pretty" much the same as regular Gabumon but with some slight changes (unless of course I am making a mistake because I don't even have an idea of the looks of Gabumon X)...

To be honest Samuel, don't get me wrong, but when I made this video I replied to the comment of Cory Templeton asking me to make a video about the other original two team digimons (which included Gabumon). I didn't even think I would be mentionning Belphemon in this video and I did say that I would be talking about Belphemon and the other demon lord digimons in a separate video. You'd have to be a bit more patient

When it comes to Elemental Affinity, gabumon really does confuse me because it's all over the place really. Seems like it's supposed to be tied to the elements of ice, but blue Blaster is a fire attack, so is howling Blaster from garurumon. But in some games weregarurumon drops the fire element completely and is tied to the Earth, and then metalgarurumon goes and becomes a cyborg and has a bunch of ice attacks, but then the Digi egg of friendship causes anyone who uses it to gain electric properties and it's just like... Geez make up your mind Agumon is fire and it sticks with fire😂
The crest of friendship seems ti be light and ice reflect light, fire makes light, and thunder releases light.
