Used to play the OG Mega Drive Mortal Kombat at a work colleagues place on a 55" Rear Projection TV which was massive back then. Kinda skipped MK2 and jumped straight into Ultimate MK3 on the MD which is probably the most fun version of them all :-) Keep up the awesome work!
I thank you, but I am afraid I now have to disappoint you as this is a feature month for me and in December it will be back to weekly videos every Friday. I am knackered after playing all this lot and making the vids :)
I think it’s very telling that once you removed the blood and gore (SNES version) that the game became a nothing burger in most peoples eyes. The fighting engine, although improved slightly from the original game, was still basic and there were no “footsies” as it were with either a heavy sweep or uppercut to ward off encroaching opponents unless you had a special attack in the locker. I do appreciate the atmosphere of both the original and the sequel and I think it allowed casuals to enjoy the game because of it’s basic mechanics whilst the Justin Wongs of the world were playing Street Fighter/Marvel titles. I enjoyed it and the original but in no way was it Street Fighter’s equal. Art of fighting yes, because that was really dire!
They were not my cup of tea, but the great thing about the world is that everyone has different tastes and it would be a a really boring place if we all liked the same things.
This is my only channel and I know the guy you are talking about. It turns out that we both must have grew up in the part of Scotland as we both frequented the same console importer many many years ago :)

Woah man you are prolific with your releases, awesome job! I'll never run out of retro game video content with you around😂

I couldn't agree more, its like we are cut from the same cloth or something :)
Love the mortal kombat series!

Yeah it's not until the NRS era (2011) that Mortal Kombat games actually started feeling "good" to play
I will have to take your word for that, but I might have a look at some point to see if my mind can be changed.
Do you have another channel? Theres another guy with a Scottish accent on the segaguys channel i think😅 (asking if you're the same guy, sorry)

That's plenty, better to pace yourself for you and your subscribers
Why must everything be compared to SF.
It’s like comparing boxing to kick boxing.
MK is just a totally different game that works in its own right..
Street fighter and tekken are way better imo
Absolutely.
