Kung Lao's fatality, when he cuts the enemy in half with his hat, was the sickest in that game. Love it.
Very gruesome. Many of the finishers in Mortal Kombat 3 got so dumb/goofy by comparison... 🧐💀
Those were always my thoughts and my favorite one.
My personal favorites are Liu Kang’s Dragon fatality and Scorpion’s Toasty fatality.
It, Reptiles head eat, and Shang Tsungs Soul Steal will always be my favorites.
No it ain't.
I liked how 1 and 2, they kept the fatalities brutal and sometimes horrifying. Then in 3 they just went full silly with exploding extra limbs and stuff.
I men if you look at Raiden's second, there are two pelvises there
@@emmanueloverrated The silly floating limbs after being cut in 1/2.
Mileenas inhale and spit in this one is ridiculous. Nothing but femurs lol
Mk3 was a lazy cash grab. So were UMK3 and MKT.
They had the base for a damned good game with MK3, improved it slightly with UMK3, then with MKT... but none of them were up to par, as has been made evident by the numerous MUGEN MK projects which have since fixed it... but Midway was faltering back then... they rushed through MK3, then just kept re-releasing it with a few extra fighters and modes... it was obvious to me even back then.
Those bones and limbs looked so bad
The irony of Jax ripping off their arms only to end up losing his own
Mortal Karma.
Only in the reboot. In the original timeline, the metal was an enhancement and essentially a form of cybernetic armor.
According to the first three games, jax never lost his arms
😂
Ikr that was some major bs *but I guess for narrative they had to find his evolvement* Jax was a BMF in air & bouncing TF out of his opponents
What i loved about MKII fatalities is they were short and to the point but still like damnnnn. Like Kung Laos slice in half fatality thats probably my favorite in the game
That one was super epic in the arcade. When the game was released in the arcade with crowds of people, everyone went bonkers on that fatality. I wish the ports would have had it just as bloody.
Old school games , bring back the good memories
Agreed. These Mortal Kombat games are a lot better than the new ones.
You mean Mortal Kombat Juan?
4:55 karma is going to be a bitch
I remember when this game was released. I spent most of the night practicing combos and fatalities
I was in high school, and got this game for my birthday. Took my time learning all the special moves and fatalities.
practiced at home to show off my skills at the arcade, sweet memories.
I practice fatalities in real life with the shopkeeper when he is rude to me. And I explode him.
I’ll never forget this games release. I was a teenager and played this game hardcore in the arcade. I preordered for SNES and the store got the game in a day before it’s official release and I was one of the few lucky ones to get it the evening before its official release date. (My dad brought it home to me at 9pm). Let’s just say, I was so blown away how good it turned out to be that I was up till almost 3am playing it. I absolutely loved the SNES port.
I don’t mean any offense to Genesis lovers but I bought that version a week later and I hated it. I saw the upsides it had but I noticed too many downsides and I just couldn’t enjoy it as much as I did on SNES.
@@Simon0me too but with bullies in my town XD
This game scared me as a little kid in the early 90s. The creepy Outworld setting, especially the Living Forest and the Deadpool (the damn skeleton floating in the acid always freaked me out), Baraka; and the violent fatalities. Gave me nightmares, man.
😂😂 Well, your parents (guardians) shouldn't have let you play it. After all, it's not for little kids. I was around 12 when it came out, and I love it.
@@wolf17238 The arcade game was at the skating rink where we often had birthday parties. I didn't even have to play it, it was right out in the open 😅
This is the weirdest new flex to get clout in the comments
I was probably older so it didn’t scare me much as a kid, I will say tho mortal kombat 3 gave me demonic vibes at times, almost like a scary movie
No ESRB rating at the time
Kung Lao’s fatality when you throw the hat to cut off the head took some timing. You had to press UP after the throw perfectly timed to have it work. A lot of other fatalities required holding buttons during the match as well. These fatalities were insane at the time
Or you could hold the block button and then do the combo
I used to hate the idea of fatalities as a kid that I would only ever do Friendships or a regular hit KO. Especially for the good characters 😅
MK2 is a great game, it's still my favourite MK - and the SNES port is simply amazing!
No.
Genesis >>>>>>>>snes
@@offspring91 your opinion 🤷🏻♂️
@@offspring91Even Ed Boon thinks the SNES is better and he programmed the original
Sega version sucked... these fan boys are still at it after so many years
@@Palmroxx I thought it was John Tobias, but it doesn't matter, both are the creators of the old school Mortal Kombat games! Yes, he favoured the SNES version over all the other ports, and that's my opinion as well.
the old fatalities really showed you could do more with less. they arent over the top torture porn like a lot of the new ones and still made sense for most of the characters. it got across the point that once someone dropped their guard to injury, they could be killed very quickly
Agreed.
They ran out of ideas
MK9 and some MKX fatalities were perfect. Wish they would've kept it like that.
Living in the past .
Torture porn 💀 I think it's called gore porn though lol
SNES - best 16 bit conversion. Aahh good times.
I got a Sega Genesis to play MK1 uncensored, then ended up buying the SNES version of MK2. I still remember seeing the Playstation demo with MK3 going when I worked at Target. This franchise had a HUGE effect on the industry.
having played a lot of arcade MK2...this is still such an impressive port to the SNES.
Still mind blowing,
Mode 7 was such a perfect fit for the pit fatality.
Saudades das tardes chuvosas 1995 jogando mortal Kombat 2 no Super Nintendo, e nos Arcade no fliperama da minha cidade👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
should have done the fatality with Johnny Cage will you knock off the head three times
4:30
I always found this one hilariously odd. I remember having one of those unofficial game guides that listed all the fatality sequences, and they gave a name to each one. I seem to recall this one being titled "Blow Job" and being absolutely terrified my parents would accidentally read it and take it away😂
Lui Kang's dragon and Shang Tsung's soul steal were my favorites.
Great choices! Agreed
Finally proving that the color red existed in the Super NES’s palette.
Mario: 🤨
@@leanmix4177 lol
Johnny Cage's torso rip made us wonder if he was okay. He got way into it
Sub-Zero and Scorpion's Fatalities kick Butt
The Best MK in history
"Kung Lao Wins" - UowwWw... jogava muito com ele!
Hi, Sub Zero here.
I’m writing this message with my toes.
Contrary to popular belief, when Jax ripped my arms off, I survived as a double amputee.
I intend to compete in the first Mortal Kombat: Disabilities Tournament later this year.
lol
I distinctly remember being a little kid and asking my cousin if someone could really die by having their arms ripped off.
She must have thought I was some sort of psycho.
In the Japanese version, the screen when performing the Fatality move changes to the lowest saturation, and the kolor of blood is changed to green as you can see during the kombat or the Pit 2 Fatality.
I ordered a copy just for that
First time here. Great video keep up the awesome work bro.
I played this so much when it came out in 1994 I'm surprised the cartridge didn't melt.
Lol facts the best game of the series with the best fatalities
The way that the legs don't fall down after being servered from the torso is incredible and defies all logic. 😂
Jax has the most ironic fatality of all time
Classic unforgetable
Awesome job recording this my favorite video game
All the years playing even having the gamer guild, NEVER saw Shang Tsung third Kintaro finishing move.
Really?
It’s a certain way you gotta do it that’s why
Just like all fatalities? lol
@@Hatemode_NJt's different I'm sure you have to hold LK for the entire match then release it at finish him/her prompt.
@@2482smitty it was just a joke lol
Where is the three heads Johnny cage's fatality?? It works with SNS
Liu kang's dragon fatality is one of my favorite ones in mk2
I was just scrolling my feed and I came upon this video and the thumbnail of falling apart cage and fat Kitana made me laugh so hard
I love how when someone explodes, its generates 3 pelvises. LOL
That is MK3
06:34 Baraka's SNES Fatality is actually better than the Arcade one. The way his victim slowly slides down the blades makes it more cruel and creepy
Indeed, and it looks like he's kissing Kitana/Mileena, they slide further down the blades...
They slid down the blades in the arcade too.
@@Richterdgfthey didn’t slide down slowly is what he meant. The SNES version also had the blades line up better with the wound on their back than even the arcade.
Coolest is either Lou’s dragon 🐉 or Shangs soul rip. But you forgot a fatality… cages 3 head off uppercut
The first Mortal Kombat game I ever played on this exact console. I was around 2 years old. Still my favorite game to this day. 🤘🏻
The music alone has the memories flooding back.
Nice video keep it up!
This was the pinnacle of the series
I always love hearing the narrators voice calls out saying, "Fatality!"

What a master piece
They missed the one where cage knocked the opponent’s head off 3x
Kitana's Kiss of Death, where the guy explodes, was the center of a still-so-funny joke to me and my brother - like what if Nintendo never lifted the blood ban on Mortal Kombat II but kept the fatalities the same? The guy gets a kiss, he inflates, *_BOOM!_* (sweat flies out everywhere instead of blood) - LMAO!!
With Johnny cage’s fatality, i was nervously expecting him to hit somewhere else…
I like more the old fatalities. The newer ones are just glorified gore for no reasons, they used to be short and to the point.
At least a lot of the old fatalities have been brought back as brutalities
1:08 That happens once in a lifetime. Getting the head to land right next to where the body falls so it looks like they hadn't been decapitated.
I love how we went basically all characters saying "Owww~!" when they are hurting to a literal voice acting. MK2 brings back so many memories. ^^
It’s hilarious when they’re still screaming Owww after their head is cut off too
@@mikeg2491 It sure is! :D
@@mikumereThat were the producers jerking!
Kitana kiss of death is an acceptable way to die for me
MK2 SNES version is one of my all time favorite video games
I can’t describe how exciting it was back in the 90s when they started making video games that had blood to go along with the violence.
The best port of the best MK in history
Finally having blood for SNES was a game changer.
Great memories... 😃
Great video, missing only the 3 heads with Johnny Cage.
and the Spikes stage Fatality sliding variant
@@arjuken8I think you just had to hold down for them to fall from the spikes?
@@BusyMEOW on both controllers yes. Arcade being both joysticks. Had to do that within 2 seconds of the fatality.
Liu kang dragon never gets old
That added feature to the fatality of Scorpio and that smiling face in the acid bath... lol rofl 🤣
Baracka's slide on the blades slow @6:32, Shang Tsung soul steal @3:33, and Raidens electrocution @7:33 was was the great too.
Liu Kang (Gerard Garnett)
Kung Lao (Darius Lynch)
Johnny Cage (Claudio Ortega)
Reptile (Franky Cruz)
Sub-Zero (Andre Redmond)
Shang Tsung (Dwight Hill)
I love how straight to the point these classic fatalities are. The problem with the new games' fatalities is they're too bloated and too cinematic. MK needs to go back to basic.
AWESOME 😎👍💯 FATALITY TOO MY FRIEND
It‘s incredibl,y cool seeing how many of their moves are still the same or similar in the new game
Kitana (Vivica Silas)
Jax (Jemilah Dobson)
Mileena (Lacina Rowe)
Baraka (Jacquad Johnson)
Scorpion (Jonathan Houston)
Rayden (Jeffrey Harris)
06:58 " *TOASTY* ...💀🔥!"
Kung Lao has the most most disturbing one. Loved it.
The graphics were amazing for the time
Shang Tsung could transform into everybody else and perform their fatalities.
You left out Johnny Cage’s secret upper cut Fatality. The one where he uppercuts three times and knocks off three heads.
And the Fergality. That one was brutal.
Such a great game. Some fatalities were horrible like liu kang's second fatality
Yeah i thought it was a glitch .. what was that !!?
@@FriedRedTomatoThat was his Fatality in OG MK1. You can combo it into the pitfall stage fatality if you’re on the Pit level.
Reptile’s fatalities in this game are the best renditions he ever had, best in the game too!
My mom bought me this game for christmas one year.....she hated the fatalities lol!!
I have all MK games for SNES my favorite character was Noob Saibot you push one button he kicked 7-8 times it was soooo amazing i love the SNES times so much
God damn, I miss the 90s.
Years ago, my cousin bought a bootleg copy of Mortal Kombat 2 for the Super Nintendo where you can do the fatality straight away. But once you do, you have to wait until time runs out to play the next match.
I love the long pause. “Kung Lao wins.”
“….. hmm? Oh, yeah, uh, fatality. And stuff.”
wow very good :)
5:17 You know when you've been Tangoed.
Who knew that sometimes the player slips from the ceiling of thorns and falls to the ground after the fatality? I don't know how it happened and I never tried to find out. Another strange thing was the fact that Liu Kang howled after he played the opponent in the Dead Pool…someone remember?
One con I have with Mortal Kombat 2 (SNES) is that Johnny Cage has the wrong color scheme on his outfit.
I miss this game so damnn much!! my fave
Finais de semanas quem dominavam os fatality era rei
Buen video 👌
This is still the best Mortal Kombat
While this is still an all time classic, it does have too many decapitation variants
And explotions just because
@@HurinThalion12 What’s an explotion?
@@woodyburns *explosion
@@HurinThalion12 That didn’t bother me too much, given that I didn’t see them that often
There are only so many ways to end an opponent, and there were technical limitations to deal with back then.
Best port ever!!!!
I still remember how to turn into the dragon as Lui Kang.
Done every fatality *knew them all by heart* used Tshang Tsung ~ did them all and Goro fatality (which is not easy because you must hold low kick the entire 2nd match with a flawless victory) ~ couldn't tell you most of the moves today but I found it odd my hands still knew after 28+ years
best port. though why are you running it in widescreen?
I’m guessing Nintendo probably just lifted the restrictions on violence at the time
Soy fans de la saga, ahi te sigo y recomiendo. Exitos
Awesome game
Não mostraram o fatality secreto do Jhonny lage de arrancar 3 cabeças. Ou ele não sabe como fazer.
Yes, with those 20 leg bones!! 😊
I can't do Scorpions harpoon slice fatality...anyone??? Help pls..the move set I have is hold hp d,f,f,f release. ????
I don't understand Liu Kang second fatality one he does a flip and he upper cut you what did he do?
Only thing I can think of is they are relating it to a brutality
