The spiked bracelets that Chun-Li wears as part of her ensemble are not just to make her look tough, but they are revealed to be wrist weights that help toughen up her arms when she punches her opponents.
Capcom should've made that take place in Alpha 1, instead. (Because it never actually happened in SF1.) Where Ryu's ending shows him Dragon Uppercutting a bloody gash on Sagat's torso, and then gives into the Satsui No Hadou for the very first time.
2 more Facts: to create chun lis legs in street fighter 2, they spent a huge amount of money and days and days of Pixeling her legs. Her legs have the most pixel a character could have. 2: Rose is also a JoJo Reference from the Character Lisa Lisa.

@@itsgreatgames I know you don't get to recognition that you would hope to have, but I think you make some really awesome videos and you have a ton of potential
From what I read in the past the skulls Dhalsim is wearing belongs to the three children he failed to save. So he decided to wear their skulls to costantly remind himself that, for how much wise and intelligent he is, he's not flawless and immune to failures.
I just noticed. Regarding sagat.. In the cutscene in the beginning it's his right eye that's covered. But right after you see a clip of him fighting. Now it's on his left eye.
The designers' main reference & influence must have been _Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom_ (1984): a combination of Mola Ram (minus the horned helmet) and Marhan (the Mayapore village shaman)
Yes he does. Kimono is the correct way to call the Judo or Karate uniform. Gi comes from " Dogi" the jacket part. Westerns say gi because they are too lazy to learn to proper terms
The boys at my elementary school Kept calling guile guttie. I was the only one right at a young age. They told me i was wrong but little should they know.😂
I believe that Dhalism necklace is inspired by the Kung Fu movie 9 Venoms. Dhalism himself is inspired by a Indian fighter in the movie Master of the flying guillotine. That character could extend his arms at will.
Is that Cammy info official from something or just your theory? Because it doesn't fully make sense when Bison then calls her Cammy (4:29) if that name was given because of a code found on her afterwards.
The Biggest Shock was Dhalsim!! I always thought that was just a Kool Necklace. (It reminded me of Predator.) I never knew it was the lil kidz😢 Thanks for the Info👊 (Learn New Things Everyday)...
I actually didn't know any of these, and I've been a fan since the original SF2 arcade came out at the WalMart lol This may sound terrible, but Chun Li guy at the end?...same my dude😅
nice video. Chun Li got the thighs and Cammy got the buns. Akuma's gi not kimono displays the Kanji for heaven which is a warrior's way of displaying dominance over an opponent. He is not a demon. Only obsessed with power and being the strongest warrior.

hmmm ... are you sure Dhalsim is not AGHORI ??? I believe he has the skull necklace because it's a reference to the monastic Hindu order of the Aghori ... they happen to be fire magicians and "compulsive masticators." Search for yourself.
🤣😆🤣😂Luckily for the characters, they're not sentient and aware of their origin beyond the 4th wall. Chunli's secret is almost as hilarious as Wonder Woman's original weakness. Ooo man, it's pretty bad, especially the reason why it is what it is. 😅
Chun-Li wasn't always known for being big legged. She wasn't big legged in the first place. I don't know why this got exaggerated way out of proportion. He legs weren't big, you could just see very high up on them, mostly from the side splits in her outfit. But, they weren't big legs. Just normal athletic legs that were visible. It's so weird how she's know for "big legs" by these younger generations. Literally NO ONE ever said that about her back in 1991.
Street Fighter III series was when she was first redesigned with bigger legs, you're right though no one thought they were "obsessively large" in the SFII and SF Alpha games.
Akuma wears a gi, not a "kimono".
❔❔❔
@@itsgreatgames A kimono is a dress for Japanese women.
I came looking for this comment. All the shoto characters wear gi.
Kimono is the correct way to call it. Gi is what the western world calls in in reference to the top/jacket a "dogi."
I’m about to Coom

Best secrets? Well known lore for over 30 years.
Got up to Sagat and decided my time was better spent elsewhere 😂
@@Sm4shNGr4b Right. Like that's literally one of the most famous backstories in video gaming history. LOL.
Hmm...the source of Sagat's scar is kinda the opposite of a big secret.
right? it's literally how the first game ends....
So, the “big secret” is literally the opening scene of one of the most famous SF movies. Got it.
"Might come as a surprise...He had a fetish for big thighs" how would that be a surprise to anyone?
🤷
Like women animators dont draw good looking male characters because their into good looking guys too. They do the same thing.
You have my subscription pal! That Chun LI's legs mistery solved have me resting now haha good video!
Street Fighter 2 - Top 7 Biggest Secrets everybody knew before you were born.
Chun-Li was a HUGE part of why we sank all those quarters into SFII machines in the early 1990s. As 12 year old boys, we loved us some Chun Li.
Chun Li has been my arcade crush since the early nineties
Sagat canonically gets his scar in SF1
exactly, but the scar only appears in SF 2 and alpha, which chronologically happens after SF1 and before SF 2

yeah, Ryu just Shoryukened him very hard in SF1... then they retcon it to have something with the evil Hado
If you think about it, Vega is the smarter version of Johnny Cage. "Not the face! It's the moneymaker."
Guile got that hair while serving on the first Xcom game.
I always thought if you choose to fight with Vega without the mask you should get a damage boost but you also take more damage because of the risk

New as in since 1995. This has been thecanon story since Alpha
Vega in SF6 is a big YES for me! 🎉🎉
Surprised you didn't talk about Cammy's scar , literally doing vega, then Cammy, then completely missing that Segway...
Guile was modeled after a JoJo character. But it wasn't Polnareff, it was Rudolph Von Strolheim. Polnareff inspired SNK's Benimaru Nikaido.
(Probably explains why ChunLi's old sprite for getting leg swept is... well, widespread)
Cool video! One question: What emu and shader do you use in the Alpha 1&2 and Turbo scenes?
Bison called her Cammy in her ending. She just didn’t remember anything from before. I have never heard about that code thing.
When street fighter 2 came out and got popular there was a kid at my school who actually had a guile haircut
They're peace skulls. Yup, big peace guy.
Oh that dhalsim info got me some water in the eyes
The 'Satsui No Hado' does not mean "Evil Ryu". 😅
It Means, Fits of Violent Murderous Intent.. or Murderous Intent for Short.
Vanilla ice in his prime resembles Guile, I had thought he was the inspiration!
The Sagat scar is from Street Fighter one... The player uses Ryu to defeat Sagat with a shoryuken.
Very interesting facts. You did a job well done. Love this fresh idea
Thanks👍

Thank God for the Origin of Chung Lee's Legs. Well Done Sirs!
Dhalsim appears to walk the left hand path to God. Aghori
Sagat was extending his hand to help Ryu up during a fight who then in rage at lossing sucker punched him then Sagat wanted revenge for the pain.
That’s interesting about Dhalsim, I always thought he was a worshipper of Kali and that was why he had the skulls
The designers' main reference & influence must have been _Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom_ (1984): a combination of Mola Ram (minus the horned helmet) and Marhan (the Mayapore village shaman)

the only fact I didn't know about was 5 - Guile being modeled after JBA
Given that Stardust Crusaders(JJBA Part 3) was still ongoing by the time Street Fighter 2 was released. That was interesting to say the least

🤔I confess that I don't know.
I believe she was, yes.
Her nickname was Killer Bee. I suspect it was based on how she is able to swarm and overwhelm her opponents with her agility.

Why did you bring up Sagat's eyepatch? Like you were going to give an explanation. Is it from the same punch that gave him the scar?
No. The eye has to do with the fight with Dan's father.
These are not secrets. Cammy has far more wierd facts, like her SSF2 ending.
In the prototype of Super Street Fighter II Cammy was known as Sarah
???
Correct. Only the true SF old schoolers know.
She does look like a sarah

I am very sure Dhalsim's skulls on his neck were the ppl who lost their lives in his village and not the ppl on Blanka's stage

And he deals more damage when he removes his mask but take more damage also

I think guile was inspired by Rudol von Stroheim rather than Polnareff. It even shows von Stroheim in the Magazine you show at 5:00.
Probably inspired by both Stroheim and Polnareff.
