It is time for an HP Lovecraft Renaissance! If I don't get to see Elder Things in an Updated Adaptation of At the Mountain of Madness before I die, I am coming back as a ghost and haunting the hell out of somebody!
Damn right! One of the most under appreciated pieces of SciFi horror ever written. I saw a decent animated italian version here on TH-cam many years ago. Philistines! Predators, Aliens and Jedi . Nothing ever new. Nobody reads any more. Kudos to you. Let's haunt them all.
I can see why this was an award winning film. Beautiful production all around!
Thank you sally
This is exactly the kind of atmospheric horror we need. Very well done, can't wait to see more!
Thank you
Very good acting job but the plot is kinda meh.. the guy obviously knew what he is messing with, so it was weird to see him so scared when he was "caught by surprise"
I really like how most of this film seems like it's one continuous, smooth shot. Very skillful on a technical level.
It's good at building tension in a very short time, and just enough happens that the story makes sense, while enough is left unexplained that we're still mystified. Always a plus for cosmic horror.
Wow wow wow. That was pure lovecraftian atmosphere… No words guys… Loved it!!!
Thank you
Morale of the story: "Play stupid games, win stupid prices."
Very nice cinematography and atmospheric ambience. Keep up the good work.
I love how some ppl literally reads "pact with devil" to a ghostly opened door knowing it will be a bad idea.
Perfectly done. Couldn't ask for better pacing, atmosphere and acting. Can't wait to see more!
Thank you Steve
Well done. I can see why this film won all the awards that it did. The atmosphere of the film was so well developed, and as jaded as I am, the ending still made me jump. 😊
And top-notch acting!
Thanks
Same. Definitely packed in that atmosphere. Really enjoyed this little yarn.
A genuinely creepy little film, well done.!!!
Thank you Ray
Excellent! Ich will mehr!!!
that was sressful...in a good way ty
Extremely well done...want this story to go on.
Thank you tim
With this level of genius, a whole hollywood budget would blow the competition away.
It would come with the entire Hollywood agenda and politics, which would ruin it.
Big budgets don’t mean better
are u drunk, good sir?
A truly heartwarming motion picture for the whole family!😮
Loved it! The camera was amazing, the actor and the ending!!!
A wonderful gem. The cinematography is just insane, and i highly suspect some of the sequences were actually played backward. The actor's performance is sick. For my taste, the masterpiece was extremely close, not showing the antagonist at all would have been way more lovecraftian in my opinion.
why do you use words with incorrect meanings?
@@sensorymats8544maybe it could be because he's not a native English speaker just like me, yeah, hard to think, I know
@@xano2921why do people do this stuff?
Watching this is really rough
Read some creepy book of old
Stuff to make your blood run cold
Do you really want attention
From some horrid. Cursed dimension?
Just put down that book and think
Tentacles that writhe and stink
Enter and their foul attack
Makes of you a tasty snack
Leave your dreams of eldritch power
Knit a sweater, grow a flower.
Read to children visit Paris
Stop reading De Vermis Mysteries.
Well done, and to the point which is Lovecraftian cosmic terrror!!! 😎
Thank you, jay
Yes! Acting, camerawork, directing, and the sound design! I love the snapping fingers!
Thank you Dale
That was an impressive short
Thank you
Really interesting way to present this with the whole one-shot illusion thing. Good job!
Thank you Crust
The camera work IS the story here.
Stellar camera work.
Thank you Aaron
Fantastic! Thank you making this
HPL steps out of the Door and asks "Excuse me kind Sir, Is this not Boston?"
take a shot every time he dramatically removes his glasses
(this was a cool little film)
This was absolutely amazing 🤩
Thank you Terra
THAT WAS AWESOME! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
Thank you
I love how you crafted this. I AM IN LOVE...craft.
Truly beautiful... That aching sense of loss... The autumnal melancholy... That "end of all things" ( or at least YOUR time) feel so perfectly expressed by Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner back when I was young... 1982? 83? So long ago... Now I am an old man and understand it even more. All times end, all men die...
As Edward James Olmos' character says about the replicant played by Sean Young: " Too bad she won't last......... But which of us does!?"
The actor was very good. Speech, delivery, tone, cadence. Also has a striking, leading man look to him. Color, camera, lighting looks good too. Obviously a lot of work and care was given to this project. Must give respect to where it's due. That being said I don't see how this received several awards and I'm honestly wondering if whoever produced this simply added that particular graphic? I encourage whoever made this to keep on making features. There's potential there because it's not bad by any means at all.
Wow you chose a great setting to film this in!
Überragender Kurzfilm
Pretty slick for a simple film. Somehow I knew something was going to reach out from the door and grab him. But I was expecting a tentacle.
Simple and effective. The camera work, lighting and sound is terror inducing. Very good work.
Thank you
Oh my god this is amazing! Subscribed!
Awesome !
Wonderful!!!!
Outstanding video 😎👍
Thank you
@@Falko00 You're welcome 🙂👍
Phenomenal cinematography.
Thank you
Oh, this is good. The soundscape is blisteringly good!
Thank you Michael
When faced with a low budget, get creative.
All those awards, justified. This is a hella good short, reminds me of those geniuses who were making films like Nosferatu and Metropolis back in the day. I have a feeling that we're going to see more of this sort of thing coming out of Germany in the future, and I can't wait.
Thank you very much kenny
Congratulations..intense, beautiful and creative
the old choke-hold routine. I mean.. how does he not pull back from that instead of trying to jerk the demon into his world by the arm? I would not have grabbed that arm. Just step back and you're free. Nice buildup to that tho.
Amazing and well-crafted!
Thank´s Dennis
Klasse.Sehr gut gemacht und sehr unheimlich.
This needs much more views and appreciation. Well done, I loved it.
Thank you
Great creepy warehouse setting. You can imagine all the things stored there that never see the light of day. Loved the old worn looking book. The use of the glasses made it seem real as someone who wears glasses their use was effective. Two issues. I think we all got it. Knock, open, read...didnt need to keep repeating. To me made it seem like you thought the audience was too dumb to put it together. And not a fan of the end. Like what's the point? Wait another 100 years for someone to do it again? I guess it might be because he didnt open the door, or read the complete passage. Really enjoyed the short. Thank you.
Excellent!
Thank you
@@Falko00 this was a great composition and beautiful story telling! Best of luck in your future creations.
So simple. So chilling. Excellent film
my door does that sometimes.
I enjoyed this. Makes me want more. Great job. 👍🏾
Thank you Joseph
Rood is also the Dutch word for the color red.

Sweet. Simple. Effective.
Damn the time went fast. Just when I was wanting more. But alas it was perfect in everything.
Great and genius...so simple but swesome
Super beau montage de qualité.

Excellent !!
I really enjoyed this .
Thank you
I really liked this, nice. 👍🏽
This is REALLY good.
Really well done! I think I sense a touch of Lynch and Badalamenti, which is fine by me.
Thank you
Spine tingling. Great Work!!!!!
Thank you
I imagine the whole crew, consists of 3-4 peoples max.
This was great.
NIce. I loved the actor's voice. It was perfect.
A well produced grade 6 script.
the actor taking his sunglasses on and off was cracking me up, but it was very well made.
"Hell of hells - Pact with the devil" - what did he expect?:)
Amazing... horrifying.. shocking...
Wow… I’m hooked now
Really well done!
Loved it.
Well what did he think was going to happen?!
This film was made by Fail Army
well done!
Spooky.
Lovecrafian through and through who needs 2 hours to build dread when 2 minutes can do it
Thank you
I was hoping for tentacles.
A bloody hand? That's your big finish?
These Occultists never learn do they?
They all go barmy or get " taken" in the end. Ha! HPL warned ya!
Excellent atmosphereric Lovecraftian film.
Thank you
Great video!
Does anyone know who the music is by at the end credits?
Brilliant.
Thank´s Phil
This seems very reliant on sound effects to add drama and tension to situations that lack them. Such effects ought to reinforce horror rather than be solely responsible for them.
Congratulations, this production is amazing, very well done scenes and atmosphere!
I love it, I really enjoy cosmic horror.
Thank you
Are you supposed to chuckle with relief at the ending, or did I misinterpret the deeper meaning?
I loved it. VERY HPL. Dont go messing with that stuff! I would love to something involving The Yellow Sign. Hastur awaits😈
Tho is Really good 👍
Captivating supernatural legend. Reminds me of the style of E.A. Poe.
Thank you James
Absolutely pure genious. To create so much tension with nothing but a man, a book, and a door frame. The script and the score appropriately tap into our deepest apprehensions of the unknown. Perfectly executed. Bravissimo!
